Rainy days and a questionnaire for you all! // 4月25日 //

Eurgh it has felt like an age since I last posted... I am so not used to posting just once every week or so now which is a good thing I guess as I really want to post more frequently on here.
But my interesting life pretty much ended as soon as uni started; I am dedicating most of my time to my uni work, so I hardly have any time to doll up anymore. It sucks because I really do fancy curling my hair and what-not every now and then, but I just don't have the time.
I'm working a lot more as well so there's another reason why I can't doll up. Wearing tons of makeup isn't really the way to go when you're working at the cashier lololol.

I did manage to find the time to do my makeup yesterday though, as I went on a trip to London for uni to see an exhibition hosted by GFSmith (a papermaking company). They create the most beautiful kinds of paper... And I brought home some samples ;D I'll include pictures of the exhibition on my art blog here .

So anyways, this was my look! I didn't have the time to take pictures so these were taken on the train where the wind just decided to mess my hair up a bit >_>

We popped to Nandos for lunch just before the exhibition~

Me and Jess! Sorry for the blurry photo D: Bad lighting ><

I had this chicken wrap thing and it was amazing *_* So so tasty! I hope to make something like this~

Could you please do this lil' questionnaire for me? My friend is doing research about online identities for her university project so she really really needs your help. Please help her <3

  14. 1. Because I find it super beautiful! These are not just some gals that throw on something everybody wears, put on some mascara and call only that 'wearing defined make-up' and thinking they look better than everybody else around them! I see that too often lately! The gyaru spend a lot of time to look good and stylish. And I just lovelovelove the hair <3

    2. Give 5 things that inspire you and your style and why. It's mainly blogs: http://www.suiprincess.com/ http://universal-doll.com/ http://www.jelly-anna.com/ http://gyaru-raba.blogspot.com/ but also some websites like http://tokyofashion.com/ http://www.japanesestreets.com/ http://shibuya109.jp/ , magazines (popteen, egg, ageha, ranzuki)

    3. Give one negative and one positive aspect of being a Gyaru. (+) It's not that common (here in Europe), so it's quite an unique style. (-) It takes a lot of time (which I sometimes don't have)

    4. How long do you spend on average per day on Gyaru related activities? (If possible, split between online and offline): Online-Almost all my time... Twitter/Facebook/Tumblr/Blog/YouTube... Offline-When to school. Mainly the makeup and clothing, but I don't concider me being 100% gyaru yet... When not at school- shopping, makeup, clothing, hair, parapara... I am busy with it all day long, unless I'm lazy ;3

    5. How do you define yourself online?
Erm... just like myself I guess? I write and talk about all that interests me =3

    6. What sites and blogs do you use to keep up to date with Gyaru styles and communities? Why?
Twitter: Mainly brands, online shops and other gyaru all over the world.
Blogs: Eternise-moi, Jelly Anna, Gyaru Raba X Kanoko_ageha, Universal Doll, Sui Princess, Chaudi, Stella Lee, Star Princess, Pandahime, Blinded by Passion, Like Candy Floss, GALaxy x GIRL.

    1. Why are you interested in Gyaru?
I am interested in it because it gives me a unique form of self expression through fashion and make up--unique in that it's not a type of style not often done in places outside Japan. The extremities to the subtle-ness in the sub-styles also are really attractive.
    2. Give 5 things that inspire you and your style and why. (Please give links)
I cannot give link because looking online is the very last thing I do. Also, I can't put 5 things... LOL
Magazines - there are several magazines I can look to for inspiration with a variety of styles
Friends - whether or not my friends are gal, I observe their styles and take note of what can work with my own style
Brands - they typically have cute example coordinates. Price... usually not so great
whatever's readily available in my area - brand name doesn't matter to me, so I'll buy whatever can pass in an outfit
    3. Give one negative and one positive aspect of being a Gyaru.
Negative: Well since I don't have a drivers license, I have to wait until I'm in the area to go to Kimmela Gal Circle events. AKA sometimes the fact that American culture doesn't focus on developing their train and subway system, gotta depend on a car, and we're a bit too spread out, even in just one area.
Positive: Almost everyone knows everyone in my area, whether or not we're "popular" online.
    4. How long do you spend on average per day on Gyaru related activities? (If possible, split between online and offline)
    Online: 30 min a week
    Offline: all the time
    5. How do you define yourself online?
    I don't really try...
    6. What sites and blogs do you use to keep up to date with Gyaru styles and communities? Why?
I don't really look at sites or blogs for that purpose. I can just look at magazines. I used to read Jenny's blog (http://sushi-cat.net/) but stopped after she seemed to convert towards mori style.

  17. Make sure to evenly cover your hair, especially the tips.

Amla is used in the preparation of a highly effective natural shampoo by
mixing 100 g each of amla, nuts and Shikakai soap in two quarts of
water, the mixture is boiled for half an hour to simmer and then can be used as shampoo for one month
for all hair treatment throughout the year. It soothes scalp region and make hair dark and lustrous.
When choosing a treatment for your own hair, pick something
organically grown or natural as opposed to something fabricated.
