Sponsored Review: E301 Hazel

Please note that although this is a sponsored review, the thoughts and opinions stated are 100% my own.
Hello all!
This is a bit of a failure-of-a-post because originally I was going to do another outfit one where I don some oraora clothes, take makeup shots etc… But yeah, it didn’t turn out so great. So instead I decided to do a review!

These lens are sponsored by the wonderful Mukuchu! I have a pair of lens from them before (my favourite purple pair) but unfortunately they have expired. I was therefore extremely glad to see an email from them saying that they would like to sponsor me.
I’m a bit late creating this post due to unforeseen circumstances that I couldn’t really work around, but despite that they have been really understandable and I am grateful for that.

The lens they have provided me was E301 - Hazel, toric lens for people with astigmatism.

Communication ★★★★★
They always answered my replies on the day or the next day, so I would give them top marks for that! They were really understanding as well because of unforeseen circumstances that meant that this post was a little late, and I really appreciate that.

here's the lens that came with a little step-by-step guide as well as the case!

Heeeeeeey Sexy Lady!

*title totally not a reference to Gangnam Style... /cough*

This week has been the first week that I actually put in some effort into my makeup; over the summer I haven't bothered doing it because I was either staying at home or going to work, and so I properly wore makeup for the first time in ages when I went to Cambridge. Then I stopped for a while, but now I'm back!

It was my boyfriend's birthday party on Friday - the perfect chance to wear my new skirt! It was my first time wearing it because I wanted to buy some bits and bobs to go with it... I was actually quite excited, I kid you not.
Another reason of why I was excited was because it was going to be the first time I had "gone out" in ages. I can't remember the last time I felt good enough to actually go out before this (maybe when I went out with the girlies?) Anyways, I had a really really good time... It was so nice to see all of my old friends again!

Anyways, here's my look for that day! :3

Himegyaru; Frills and Pretty Things.

After I posted the first part of my Gaijin Gyaru Guide it got me thinking; what is my style, and where am I heading for? As you know I tend to float between styles depending on how I feel, but when I looked over at Tumblr I came across a Hime Gyaru.
And BAM my love for it was rekindled.

I actually found Gyaru through Himegyaru, so it's no surprise that I still have some "feelings" for it. It's so pretty, I mean really really pretty... Who wouldn't fall in love with it?
But then, as you can see, I grew away from that - I never actually tried it out - and discovered the other sub-categories of gal, and soon Hime Gyaru was just a part of Gal that I never really thought of trying.

So what is making me keep going back to Hime Gyaru (not dressing it, but browsing it)? Today I've discovered the reason; it's the whole lifestyle thing.

Now I'm actually really bad when it comes to being a full-time gal because work and uni just keeps getting in the way, which is why I'm so jealous of those gals who strut out in their full attire each and everyday of their lives. Hime Gyarus just seem to put so much effort into their looks and their clothing, and it's something that I want to do with my style. I want to be able to find the time to just doll up everyday and have a whole week planned on what to wear... But it's not so easy.

Here are my Hime Gyaru attempts (and failures) in the past:
From left to right: Meet with Annie, Where's the Sun Gone, Feeling like a Princess, Birthday in Brighton

Okay, maybe I wasn't so great at it.

Gyaru on a Budget

budget gyaru, gyaru on a budget

Today’s post is going to be about going gyaru on a budget. Now this is quite a popular topic within gyaru as many people who are new to the scene always ask, “Can I be gyaru even though I don’t have a job/a lot of money?” Now my answer to this is: yes, you can!

This is mostly due to personal experiences; when I started out gyaru I didn’t really have a job nor much pocket money, so I had to do everything I could to be gyaru but spend as little as possible. Even now I still tend to only spend on the items I either need or really really like and couldn’t possibly live without!

Let’s get onto the list, shall we?
