Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Hey all!
How was your Christmas holidays? Did you eat lots of food? I did! I swear I've never eaten so much food in my life, and that's pretty hard to beat as I tend to eat a lot everyday... But wow I'm still stuffed from my delicious Christmas dinner that my mum cooked up (we have roast duck and pancakes for Christmas instead of turkey).

My Christmas holiday was quite a long one but it was just so good! I wanted to write a post including everything I did around Christmas, so please excuse the abundance of photos and writing~ But there's no point splitting this up into lots of mini posts because it'll be 2014 before we know it.

The first Christmas event was the day I went to see Charli! I missed her terribly, as I hadn't seen her that much at the October MCM Expo so it was lovely to spend a couple of hours trotting around London with her.
We decided to take some purikura as it had been a really long time! I think that it is a tad expensive, but as we were splitting it in half it wasn't so bad. Although their scanner broke so I've only got photos of the purikura half I had </3

The whole set~

Then we headed to our favourite restaurant, Suki! The food is so good for the price we pay, so I was really happy to be finally sitting down munching on gorgeous ramen. If anyone's heading to London one day, you should definitely try this place out! It's a Japanese restaurant and it's amazing!

Merry Christmas!

Just a quickie to say Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is having the most wonderful time of the year (see what I did there ;D)

I just want to thank everyone for reading this blog. I know I have said this millions of times but it really, really does mean a lot to me. I've met so many amazing people through this blog, and I never thought I'd still be blogging all those years later. Words cannot express how much I appreciate every little pageview, comment, message, ask, tweets... All of these things really make my day. I wish I could buy something for you all to say thank you properly but I'm not a billionaire (yet).

I'll probably write up a proper post of my Christmas on Sunday but for now, have a picture of me and the wonderful Charli!

Speak to you soon ~ Make sure you eat lots of cakes and food! It's allowed ;D

Lèvres Rouges

Wow I'm such an idiot! Something went wrong with blogger and it deleted half of my original blog post! I'm going to try my best to remember what I had written, but I might as well just start over because I was hoping to change that post anyway...

First thing's first, have you guys seen The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug yet? Oh my gosh I absolutely loved it! Majestic Thorin was majestic as ever, and boy... Thranduil really does have that aura of sassiness doesn't he?
It's not great in terms of sticking to the book but it was a pretty good film! To those who haven't watched it already you should totally go and see it :D

Aherm, anyway, so I'm really getting into that Xmas mood and the other day I went out for a meal with my work colleagues! I was initially going to go all natural by slapping on some foundation, mascara and red lippy and...

Well, that didn't quite happen.

Instead I just went all out and dramatic! I was a bit worried because I've never really done gal makeup before at work so I didn't want them to think it was too heavy for a meal. Like I heard from a movie: better being too fabulous than too slobby!

It's A Love/Hate Relationship

Okay I don't know how many times I've written this post but boy this must be what, the fifth or sixth time where I just deleted everything and wrote again? I don't know. Oh well, hopefully this will be the last time I write this blog post (or I swear I'm just gonna' give up and have nothing but pictures on it, haha).

Gal, to me, is a bit of a love/hate relationship; yes I've finally managed to find a glue that's suitable for my eye but I do go OCD and make sure I wash my brushes etc every time before I use them. This is kind of a pain in the butt so I tend only to do gal make once a week because I just don't have the time for it… And mainly because when I doll up I end up taking pictures instead of doing what I should be doing i.e. driving to uni. Whoops.

So I might be posting some coords etc on here but skip the gal make and hair. Right now I just want to focus on my coords before moving onto anything else. I put hair last because I really, really suck at doing hair. If only I had a personal hair stylist or someone to help me out with this!

I’m going to make Sunday my gal day so that I can feel “normal”. It's basically what I did before I started doing it everyday and then f*cking up my eye and making my skin go all sensitive. Until then I'll be doing natural makeup everyday. It's not gal but I'm happy, and that's the most important thing, right?

Enough of the chit chat and onto the photos! Doing agejo again because damn I love that style so much ❤

All Loved Up

I had such a good start to this month! I was very selfish and had my boyfriend all to my self. It’s been ages since I last saw him – over a month! – so I always try to spend as much time with him as possible whenever I see him.

He arrived at mine on Friday and we treated ourselves by going to a new Chinese restaurant, and when I say ‘new’ it just means that it wasn’t Wagamama. We go there way too much so needed something refreshing! Chinese restaurants are also nice anyway. I wanted to be all dolled up and pretty so I wore my lashes! I was a bit sceptical at first because even though they’ve been okay so far I was just worried about being let down and getting a busted eye again. I even curled my hair, which I haven’t done in what seems like ages.

We ordered this set meal kind of deal where you just get loads and loads of little dishes served in three sections, and boy was there a lot of food! Here are some photos I took really quickly (as we were starving) so please excuse me if they’re blurry.

Bargain Queen

Oh look at me being a wild child posting on a day other than Sunday!

Okay there is a valid reason for this, and it's that I have a fair amount of posts lined up and I know that if I just keep on posting on Sundays like usual I'll end up posting something that happened months ago which kind of kills the whole point of this blog serving as a diary (of some sort). Plus I'll just end up getting annoyed with myself and delete the ready-made posts because of that reason.

Anyway, before I start rambling let's get onto the topic of this post! I've noticed that there's a lot of negativity going around with all of the stress circulating uni, money and… Christmas! Yes it's the so-called "time to be jolly" but at this rate it really isn't. I swear I'm going to go bankrupt with all of this Christmas shopping and I know that I'm not the only one.

However there is an alternative (especially if you're buying some stuff for a gal friend), and that is bargain hunting! It might sound a bit tacky but go and look at places like Gyaru Sales because getting things second-hand isn't always a bad idea. In fact, most of my gal wardrobe is second-hand! Saves you a lot of money too.

Speaking of second-hand items, Amelie from Spicy Days have opened up a store called Triangle Future where she sells second-hand items for a really good price. I managed to get four items from her all under £30! Bargain or what? She was also sweet enough to actually message me about the fact that she was selling MA*RS and reserved them for me <3 Plus everything arrived in like, two or three days?! Amazing!

Here are the things I got from her… All MA*RS, of course.

MA*RS 'bow', garters, skirt and shorts!

30 Things Every Agejo Gyaru Should Have

I was going to do 50 but I thought that was a bit too ambitious…

Hey everyone! So today's post is a bit random because a) I haven't got anything exciting going on in my life and b) I had wanted to do something similar for ages. I took inspiration from F Yeah Lolita's "30 Things Every Lolita Should Have" and from Mana Starre's Himegyaru list, but sadly that Himegyaru list has disappeared! ;_;

I was originally going to do "30 Things Every Gyaru Should Have" but that would've been too broad, and since I'm really interested in Agejo I thought I might whittle it down to that substyle! I am by no means an expert and there could be many things more than what's on the list. These are just what I think every agejo gyaru should have.

So here goes! Feel free to comment if you have any more things to add

Things Are Looking Up

Okay so I realised that my last blog post was a bit pessimistic so I'd first like to thank all those who posted really supportive comments. I think I've finally found a glue that works for my eyes but I guess only time can tell really. Right now I'm perfectly satisfied with just sticking to eyeliner and eye shadow, and I'm focusing more on my lips now too.

This time I'm going to post some really good news! I'm very pleased to announce that I am Pixie Bunny's official Vlogger! It's very exciting for me because I absolute adore that store, with the amazing Pixie Late as owner/producer; they sell so many beautiful products and most are hand made too!

They have recently released a Pixie Couture line including these cute Rosebud Cat Ears Headband that I wore on the day of vlogging. Here's a photo of me taken from their website with the cute lil' logo on it:

A New Territory

Top: Persunmall | Shorts: Reveal | Tights: Select | Shoe Boots: New Look

This past month or so has been a nightmare for me in terms of gal makeup; after my day at expo my eye got really red and swollen, a sign that I had an allergic reaction to the glue. You could imagine my despair, and since then I haven't been wearing any false lashes as I'm still testing out different glues to figure out which one's best for me.

You could say that because of this, I've been pretty depressed. I have gone days without makeup and my confidence spiralled down dramatically, but now I've started to emerge and I'm slowly picking that confidence back up. Luckily I've rediscovered my love of makeup without having to use false lashes, fully relying on mascara and eyeliner.

Review: Agejo Nails by 8th Sin Creations

Not too sure if you noticed but in my last post I was wearing some pretty false nails! It was my first time wearing nails properly, and wow the amount of things that I couldn't do like getting money of my purse was endless! I got used to it at the end of the day, and they were so pretty that I refused to take them off until the day was over.

These babies were done by Laura of 8th Sin Creations. I was basically looking around for someone to design me a set of nails for my outfit for expo, and she was recommended to me. I'm happy to say that it was successful because she always kept me updated on my process and produced the most beautiful nail designs I could ever want! It wasn't too overloaded with gems which was great, because I'd feel so bad if they all fell off haha.

They didn't take too long to do at all as I received them well before the event, and I was dying to try them out as soon as possible but I knew I wouldn't be able to do any uni work with them on!

They're so sparkly and beautiful and *flails*

Baby Come Back

Oui c'est moi, Lizzie, back from her much-deserved break! Eurgh I seriously needed it as the past few weeks have been crazy! I'm so excited to be back not wearing makeup to uni and doing lots of work... Not.

Anyways, today's post is about my time at MCM Expo! I was working with my bby Tania at her Pixie Bunny stall and I had so much fun! I met loads of new people despite working behind the stall, and took part in the fashion show representing Agejo-gal. I was so nervous though, so when it was my turn to walk down the 'catwalk' I rushed my poses so I could hurry away. How embarrassing ><" Luckily I worked alongside Jada and Rosanna, or I would've died in embarrassment.

Here's me and my lovely Tania <3

I was also working right behind Charli and Dom who were working at the hentai store and omg she's got such amazing boobs *_* People couldn't stop staring at her, and I joked that she's the reason why they had so many customers hahahaha.

Bonfire Heart

Hey guys! How're you all doing?

Me? Well... I've not been so good ;_; I've been stressing so much at uni to the point that I got ill (and I'm still trying to recover) but it doesn't really help being ill as I've got so much work to do! It's a vicious cycle, really.

Because of all of this stress that I'm going through I'm going to take a break from blogging. I know I mentioned that I wouldn't be on hiatus in my last post but... Things keep building up and I'm just in such a mess right now ;_; I'm so sorry, m'lovelies! <3

So I'd just like to leave you with a recent picture of myself and my boyfriend <3

... And that's when my lower lashes fell off because of my stupid glue -_-

Also, I just wanted to say thank you so much for your incredible feedback on my last post! I received some comments on what other people wanted to improve on in gal on both my blog and on Facebook, and it's so nice to see that I'm not the only one who's not that great at hair!

Thank you so much for your continuous support on my blog <3 I look forward to blogging again! I'll keep you all updated on my Facebook page so please keep on a lookout on there as that's where I'll write when I'm back to blogging again.

I Wish I Was Better At...

Yep I admit it; I am awful when it comes to hairstyling. You'd think that by now I would've experimented a little bit more but nope, I haven't. Instead I've been buying up my gyaru wardrobe - having recently purchased another MA*RS dress (again). Now someone give me a slap on the wrist or something for being ever such a naughty girl, ooer.

Seriously though I really am awful at styling. I can't even do a French braid let alone curl my hair with a straightener. I've always admired how other gyaru in the community manage to style their hair elegantly into sujimori, but I guess in reality a) they got it done at a hair salon or b) they're styling a wig. If you haven't done either of those then what's your secret? I want to know!

Oh Happy Days: Updates & Gal VIP!

Apparently the older you get, the less you experience of the year.
Like you know how the year seems to go by really slowly when you're 5 years old? And how it's going past really quick now that you're (x)? That's because we're only really "experiencing" 1/x amount of the year. So I'm "experiencing" only 1/20th of it right now.

How creepy is that?

Which is why I was incredibly surprised when I realised that it was time to write about blog post! I've been so caught up with my dissertation that it's Thursday before I even knew it. Damn. Didn't help that I was stressed because I was an idiot and tipped a pint of summer fruits squash over my laptop so had to wait for it to dry and pray that it worked okay.

It turned out okay - it has been okay so far though - so now I'm able to write this blog post. Woop woop!

Quite a bit has happened since I last posted; I met up with my gorgeous girly Charli to go for one last bit of shopping before uni started, and I was extra careful not to splurge. Go me! I managed to find that meow crop sweater that I had been looking for for ages, and also got my hands on an Ageha issue <3

First day at uni was pretty good; I got to see my classmates again and managed to talk to one of my lecturers about my dissertation so that I'm now ready to start researching my ass off. It's a good thing I like researching new things because I'd totally be having panic attacks right now...

I decided to doll up because I had aaaaages before I had to go into uni, and wanted to go for the more "gyaru-kei" look that Chie & Chika do.

Sponsored Review: Lace Matching Chiffon Shirt from Persunmall

Please note that although this is a sponsored review, the thoughts and opinions stated are 100% my own.

Hey guys!
I'm so sorry for posting so late! I was working today and being the doofus that I am I forgot to schedule this post ;_; But it's all here now ;D

As you all may/may not know, I've been digging onee gal recently now that it's getting colder and I'm about to start uni again, and Persunmall kindly contacted me about doing a sponsor so I asked if they could send me this gorgeous white blouse (Lace Matching Chiffon Shirt). It took a while to receive the items but nevertheless it's now hung in my wardrobe.

First off, postage and packaging
At first it wasn't obvious where the package was from until I actually opened it, and I was surprised to find that it had no returns sheet nor invoice. This might be due to the fact that it's a sponsored review, so I let it slide.  It took around two or three weeks to arrive which is pretty good for an international order.

Material
It was surprisingly a soft material, not scratchy at all! However due to this soft material it appears to be a bit fragile - especially the lace - so I had to be really careful with it. There weren't any care labels on it either so I did it on a very gentle wash.

I Live For The Applause

So I finally enrolled onto my final year at uni, and I'm kinda' stressing out about it because I just know that a) my social life is pretty much going to end and b) I'm going to go back to my workaholic self.

But oh wells! I can do it this year! I won't be a zombie, promise! I'll be forever fabulous and can get through this stressful year (hopefully).

Because the enrolment wasn't to start until later I actually managed to have the time to doll up. It's funny because I wasn't originally going to doll up, but while I was doing my makeup I thought, "Well I might as well add some contouring... Hmm maybe some eye shadow... But that means I have to put liner and some lashes on..." So I ended up with a made-up face instead of a bare one. Whoops!

I went for the more sophisticated look because I'm hoping to drift into the onee gal scene a bit more for uni and incorporate it into my agejo style. Plus I wanted to try out this new "blazer" I bought from Primark.

Last Days of Freedom

It's that time of year when the summer holidays are coming to the close and everyone goes back to uni. Thank goodness I wrote my previous post, "How To Be A Gyaru & A Student" in time! I hope that you all found it useful and are enjoying your new year at school/college/uni.

I've been thinking a lot about how my bank is suffering tremendously from the amount of online shopping I do, MA*RS in particular. It’s such a beautiful brand but I really need to stop buying stuff!

A new idea then popped into mind: why don’t I do a budget gal challenge? I’m thinking of only spending £50 a month on gal and each month I’ll go down by, say, £5 or £10, and see if I can survive (haha). My bank will thank me for it and I could then use that money for uni supplies.

Ah, uni. I miss it so much so I’m really looking forward to going back and studying my final year! I can already see my social life coming to an end but I’m going to work my ass off to make sure I could still see my friends outside of uni & work.

So I guess my shopping trip with Charli & Emi will be one of my last days of freedom and of spending! Charlie had recently gotten back from ‘Merica and I haven’t really spent much time with Emi before, but I had such an amazing day! Was very girly filled with shopping (although I didn’t buy much). I went for the more casual-agejo look because although I do love MA*RS I really need to search for new coords that don't really rely on that brand. I guess I did cheat a little in my outfit as I attached a MA*RS bow that I bought recently, but oh well! At least I'm trying.

How To Be A Gyaru & A Student

gyaru student, how to be gyaru and a student, work
This seems to be one of those most difficult questions that gaijin gals (gyaru) face; how can we still be gal if we go to school/college/uni/work? It is extremely high maintenance, and in some places it's not acceptable to be caked up in makeup.

Life as a student is... Difficult. I've had months where I just slipped on my glasses and grabbed a t-shirt and jeans before heading out of the door. Sometimes I didn't even bother getting dressed and worked in front of my computer at home with a cup of (relatively strong) coffee next to me. I'm amazed how some people manage to party all night and drink their money away with all the stuff they have to do but I guess they have the time and money for it.

How does gal fit into this busy schedule of mine? I'm not going to lie but I've had a lot of difficulty with it and yet I managed to pull through. It's been two years since I've started uni so I decided to write up a little "how-to" post for those going into uni/college/work! Please note that I'm only going to underline the basics, it's up to you to adapt these to your gal style.

MA*RS Twins!

I can't believe how the summer holidays have flown by! It's been a weeks since my holiday in Germany (which I still have to write about), my birthday is long gone, and you know what? I enjoyed every second of it. This summer holiday has definitely been the best I've had in ages because I've been able to actually arrange and attend meets as well as visit my family a hell of a lot more.

Me and my lovely friend Tania decided to meet up to do a MA*RS day just two days after meeting for my birthday gal meet, and went as "twins"! I had so much fun, and it was lovely just being able to spend a day eating, chatting, and taking lots of purikura.

In order of the "twinning" to work we tried to figure out what MA*RS clothes we had that were similar but unfortunately we didn't have any, so instead we planned to have the same hairstyle (curled pigtails) and wear the same headband!

We met up at this bubble tea place; I was a bit early so I had this gorgeous bubble tea (that I can't remember the name of ;_;) and some spicy fried tofu!

Birthday Gal Meet!

I have about just under an hour of freedom before I hit the road to go to London again; too little time to watch an episode of Supernatural, but just enough to blog!

I mentioned in my previous post that it was my birthday, and this post is about my birthday meet! It was only me and a couple of gals but it was just nice to hang out and see people that I don't usually see on a daily basis. My boyfriend was round mine for the weekend as well so he came along. Thank goodness there were other guys there that he could talk to!

I dressed up in oraora this time to take a break from the usual agejo, and it was so nice and refreshing! Here's my look for the day:

Me and my boyfriend on the way to the meet!

There was me, my boyfriend, Tania, Alex, Rin, Rin's boyfriend Jamie, Amber, Silver, Emmie, and Jess! It was Silver's leaving do yesterday but I couldn't make it, so I was glad that I could meet her before she left to Japan.

Hey There, Birthday Girl!

Right so I was going to write a blog post about my holiday but that went horribly wrong - because I am an idiot and didn't press save - so instead I'm going to write one about my birthday!

It was a pretty quiet one because I had just come back from holiday a couple of days before so really couldn't be bothered to host a big party. Instead I spent it with my sister and boyfriend and it was so perfect!

I started the day by dolling up and getting ready because I, unlike all of the other people in the house, was actually awake because I was so excited. I hadn't felt such excitement on my birthday since I was a little kiddie and it was such a lovely feeling. Then I realised it was perhaps the last day I could behave like a kid as now I'm a proper "adult" ;_;

This was my look for the day and my outfit! I finally had the chance to wear my MA*RS dress from Gorgeous Barbie <3 I absolutely love that shop, but I really should stop buying from them because I'm not a billionaire just yet ;D

Angel Eye & Luminous Change

Now onto my presents! I can't believe how lucky I was this year, I'm so happy with everything >///< I think what mattered most was because the people I loved were there <3
