Gyaru Inspiration: Nail Art

Yep, this week I'm going to be talking about nail art. I realised that I buy way too many clothes and don't really think about the small things that really make the outfit pop, and one of them is the nails! I only have a few sets and I really want to start making some for myself. My friend Heather has recently opened a nail shop on Etsy Hime Nail Shop which also got me really inspired.

I know it's going to take me a while to actually get good at doing nails but I might as well look for inspiration! I'm going to split it into two sections - OTT & casual - because I can't really wear false nails at work. I've included some neat tutorials too at the bottom!

Most of the nails in my gyaru nails collection are quite long which sucks for people like me who can't wear long nails to save their life. I really hope I can wear really dramatic ones one day!

Tutorials

I was going to leave it like that but then I thought that it might be handy to include some video tutorials from YouTube as well! Not all of these are necessarily gyaru, but can be used for it.

Hope this was inspirational to you who are interested in nails too! If you have any useful links or tips, please leave a comment below

  5. I used to be unable to work with long nails, but if you let your nails grow, and just keep getting fills it helps you adjust! And when it's time to get a new set, start again where you left off (in length). It takes about a year to get used to crazy dramatic lengths, but when you let them grow out like that, you'll be able to do things more easily, since it feels natural. I'm sorry if this didn't help! :( just don't get super used to them and then get a job where you have to take them off, haha. It takes so long to get used to real sized nails!! You end up feeling so naked and clumsy ! 3;
