Disclaimer: Ad-Gifted experience courtesy of Bubble Boba.
I first learnt about Bubble Tea when I was a young gyaru in London; I didn’t really know what to expect but I knew that as soon as I accidentally gulped down the tapioca that I was in love. I couldn’t get enough of the squishy balls at the bottom of my cup and soon I was going for bubble tea at every gyaru meet we had. Unfortunately I’ve long moved away from London and my favourite bubble tea cafes, and had lost all hope that I would go again. But, as life would have it, one of my best friends, Amy, introduced me to Bubble Boba, and I was over the moon! And a few weeks ago she invited me to their first ever masterclass and of course I HAD to say yes.

About Bubble Boba
Bubble Boba resides in Fargo Village, Coventry, and they’ve opened up their second store in Cardiff. It has such a friendly atmosphere and I often come here with my friends whenever I pop into Fargo. There’s a chance to have a go at Mario Kart on quieter days, which is so much fun! The Bubble Boba masterclass is fairly new – we were the first ones to try it out – and they offer classes for up to 12 people.
Our Experience
Our Bubble Boba masterclass was around 90 minutes and involved: some insightful videos on the history and different methods of bubble tea; trying out different teas; tasting some (gasp) BUBBLE WAFFLES, my favourite was the unicorn one pictured above; a lesson on how to make our own fruit tea; as well as an introduction to their new Easter flavours which will be released on April 1st. I had SO much fun shaking up my creation as if I was making cocktails, and the owner of Bubble Boba noticed how much I loved tapioca that she gave me a whole cup full of it. It really, really made my evening, and I was so happy with how attentive she was! In terms of the teas I had, I made the Cherry Blossom Fruit Tea with lychee boba and Mini Egg Choc Chip Milkshake.
Good news is that you too can have your own lil’ bubble tea class over at Bubble Boba! Click here for more details.
Are you a fan of bubble tea? Are you livin’ the bubble tea life?
Love,
Lizzie xx

April 9, 2019I LOVE bubble tea so much! I discovered it 7 years ago when it first came to Birmingham and I fell in love. Whenever I spot a bubble tea shop I have to go in, whether it be familiar to me or not.
I recently tried Bubble Boba and I really liked it! I liked the way you order your drinks, as well as all the options they have! I like how small the shop is, but I wish it was bigger to meet up with more people. ?
I can’t wait to go to one of the masterclasses in future. ?

April 15, 2019OH MY GOODNESS! I’m so jealous. (*A*) Both because you look so cute there and because I’ve loved bubble tea since I was a kid! It was a thing my friends and I would often do together in high school. I still love the chewy chewy goodness of the tapioca pearls possibly more than the drink itself, heh. ^^; The challenge in my city as always been finding rose flavour–it’s my favourite, but it doesn’t seem to sell well, so many places I’ve found that had it at one point have discontinued it since. *pouts* At least portions are getting smaller… They used to be huuuge.
Ngl, I often save the leftover pearls from my bubble tea now specifically so I can rinse them at home and pour milk tea over. Usually royal milk tea or a rose milky tea, but either way. So. Good.
I’m really tempted to ask my partner if we can do a class when we visit the UK this year. Coventry’s not far from his hometown. Sad I’ll miss the Mini Egg Choc Milkshake, but I’m excited to see what other flavours they’ll have!
hellolizziebee
April 15, 2019Ah yes I love the tapioca pearls! That’s such a good idea to take them home and then drink them with normal milk! I must try that. And yes you totally should! I had such an amazing experience trying out their masterclass and everyone who works there is so lovely!
