I’ve been feeling really depressed and uninspired lately, and it doesn’t really help that it’s so stressful living away from home. I have to buy my own food, cut down on spending (even if I do need it) and travel goodness knows how many times, back and forth between the town that I’m staying in and the place I need to go to.
Fortunately I’m settling in well with my landlady; she’s so nice to me, and helps me out a lot and also teaches me how to do things like use the library, use the washing machine… She even walks me to town to show me the way ^^
I’ve made a couple of friends too, but I still feel kinda lonely… I need to arrange more meet ups with friends, but then that means money and it’s not like I’ve got a job or anything… Sigh. I miss everyone back home so much, especially my boyfriend <3
So yeah, this is basically going to be a really depressing blog post :/ Sorry guys ;_;
I tried dolling up today but Idk, it’s either because of my lazy mood or depressing mood that I feel as if I don’t look Gal :/ Even though I do my normal makeup it’s just… Yeah. Maybe I should just stick with doing the more dramatic eye make until my lenses arrive (which is about another month). Talking about things missing I seem to have left most of my clothes and lashes at home. Damn.
And my lower lashes don’t show up either fml. But, tbh, they were the ones that I first wore when I first bought lower lashes so I weren’t expecting anything magical with them.

Wow it’s been such a busy week getting ready for uni and shizz. There was the rushing around of getting supplies like towels and what not, and I haven’t really got my clothes packed yet… Whoops.
I can’t believe that I’m actually going to uni!
It’s scary because I’ll be so far away from home, but I’m pretty excited too. I’ll be finally on my own looking after myself (which I’ll probably do a really shit job of).
But yeah. This week was a really busy week arranging to meet people, so let’s start with last Wednesday~
I went over to Amelie’s house for a sleepover! We wanted to have a meet before I moved house ^^ I got dolled up beforehand (which was utter chaos btw ’cause my mum dragged me to Morrisons an hour before I had to leave) and tried out doing loose curls, than headed off to her house~

It was so so pretty *__* I didn’t want to take it down lololol – but it was like, half 12 at night. Here are some photos of my hair! ^^

Sorry that I haven’t really been dolling up recently… I generally felt shit lawls 😛 What happened was that for the past week I’ve been going to bed late but getting woken up extremely early (like, 8am) because of my sis going to school. Doesn’t really help that my immune system is crap as crap can be and on Friday I had to get up extremely early to enroll at uni at 9am (which was, btw, 3 hours from home >_<“). But yeah, I really aught to do more exercises and shizz :/
Buuut on Sunday I had an excuse to doll up; I was going out with le boyf on a date in what seems like forever. We went to this a lovely pub (pretty decently priced too! <3) I wanted to go for the Oraora gal look as it had been catching my eye lately ^^

So what did I do last week and this week? Well, last Thursday I went out for the first time for drinking! We didn’t go to a nightclub or anything but to this place called Wetherspoons which does amaaazing cocktails and Pitchers. The boyf got me the Blue Lagoon~

All in all, this hairstyle didn’t really go so well… I think I might just hunt down for some more tutorials on Youtube, but the people on there just make everything look so easy D: djgfbkfgdkj. Sucks bum. I think I might need to invest in some new straighteners AND curlers at the same time ;___; Sigh, Gyaru is so so expensive… What curlers & straighteners do you gals use? ^^

So whilst I was with my gal friends I spotted this glitter palette in Claire’s. It reminded me of the ones they do at Urban Decay, and so bought it straight away.
I was, however, really disappointed.
Let’s start with the photos first~
So this is what the glitter palette looks like. Looks as if it’s a “dusty” glitter one, doesn’t it? It is in fact one of those creamy eyeshadows, which I didn’t really expect (I touched it a lil’ when I opened it and was surprised because I was expecting it to be a powder eyeshadow). The colours are really pretty, especially the blue one next to the black~ Something that attracted me to the palette in the first place.
Let’s go for a close up picture so that we could see the eyeshadow a lil’ more clearly~
So yes, the colours are very pretty, but do they show up on the skin well? Instead of putting it on my eyelids and going through the process of taking it off everytime, I put some swipes on my hand instead.
It was very hard to make the eyeshadows visible, and I had to do a couple of layers each to actually make them show up on my skin. And even after that they don’t show up very well, especially the silver. The glitter however does show up, and the black and blue shades seems to be doing okay.
Even though I got some poor results from the eyeshadows actually showing up on the skin I still carried on because I wanted to test how long they’ll last. Instead of walking around with eyeshadow on my hand for a couple of hours I just grabbed a tissue and wiped them a lil’. All of them apart from the black faded away, leaving behind some areas of glitter where they used to be.
So if you want to rub your eyes whilst weairng this, maybe you shouldn’t. Actually, if you’re wearing makeup at all you shouldn’t rub your eyes just in case you hurt them~
Although I have to say that this test was a bit unfair because I had rubbed the eyeshadow. All eyeshadows would come off after this, so I decided to test it by wearing the black shade on my eyelids.
Tada! This is what it’ll look like when applied to the eyelid. As you can see, even the black doesn’t come up very well, and this was even after several layers! The glitter definitely shows, but not the colour. It creates an interesting gradient though which might be useful if you wanted to use this on top of another eyeshadow.
This is what the eyeshadow looks like when I have my falsies on. It does look alright, but not as great as I expected it to be. But at least it shows up!
So how much eyeshadow did I actually use for this eye?
This much.
See? It’s nearly half of the eyeshadow! And that’s only for my first time (even if I did use a lil’ bit on my hand).

So what are the final results of this eyeshadow palette from Claire’s?

Overall, I didn’t really like this palette much even though the colours are really pretty. If it had been a powder eyeshadow then maybe it would’ve come up more when applied. The amount of eyeshadow in the palette is very low, although that was to be expected because of the price. Even though the eyeshadow didn’t really come up very well, it did last even after a couple of hours. So it is very good if you want to wear it for a whole day; you just need to pile on the eyeshadow (and by then it might run out and you’d have to buy a new palette!)
What I’d say is that this palette would be put to better use if you used another eyeshadow as a base, and used the glitter on this one to create an interesting effect.
Other than that, I have another eyeshadow palette but of powder which performed far better than their creme ones. So they do do decent eyeshadows, it’s just this series isn’t as great (in my opinion). They are particularly good if you want to buy cheap eyeshadows but of a decent quality ^^
For some reason all of my pictures seem a lil’ hazy o_O Idk whether it’s because of the sunlight but whatever, I think it looks cool :3
Over the past couple of days it’s been kinda hot and rainy, but yesterday it was beautiful. It was warm, sunny, with a lil’ bit of a breeze; a perfect summer’s day. It was even more perfect with my boyf who I spent most of the day with ^3^
I’ve changed my layout a lil’ bit because I wanted a change and got bored with my old one 😛 The header image is still the same though as I like it ^^ Idk if I’ll change it anytime soon 😛
I can’t wait until I go on holiday, which will be in the next couple of weeks~ So if I suddenly stop posting, you’ll know why 😛 Just thought I’d warn you now instead of later (as I might forget lawls :P) Where are yoou gals going for the holidays? I’ve finally got a new bikini! It’s somewhat different to my old ones as this one is more grown-up (all of my other ones had polka dots or flowers lawls :P) so I’m in love with it ^3^

I made it so that my contouring shadows were darker so that they could be seen easily by my camera~ Did it work? ^^ I also tried out a new style of doing my eyes; the droopy style that is often adopted by Okarie ^^ I was about to do her pigtailed hairstyle as well but it didn’t really go with the sweet rokku theme D:

This was what the packaging looked like~ It was an A4 envelope, and the blusher was covered in bubblewrap! Was so awesome, and nicely wrapped I must say ^^ I also got a voucher for 10% discount from my next buy 😀

On Tuesday I went to town with my mum and sis to get some stuff done – which ended up not being done so I have to go again soon >_<” – and I came across a beautiful dress in the Miss Selfridge section! As soon as I laid eyes upon it I knew that I had to get it, although it was marked £40 >_<” Luckily there was a woman nearby who worked there and she told me that it was now reduced to £20 😀 It reminded me so much of the clothes from Liz Lisa that I was so grateful when my mum said that she’d buy it for me <3
