Hey everyone! How are you? Hope you’re having a good weekend so far! ♡
Last week I went to MCM Expo! I did OTT agejo gyaru and I was quite nervous about this because I’ve never done this before, but then I thought about all of the amazing people I was going to see ଘ꒰◍ॢ•ᴗ•◍ॢ꒱༌✩ plus I really wanted to wear my new MA*RS socks and Ruby Rose headband that Charli got for me ♡
I met my friend Melissa at expo and after going through the queue we headed straight to meet a few of my friends. It was a bit confusing because everything is split into two rooms now… But it means that there are more stalls to buy from tehehe. So for the rest of the day we scoured the stalls and bought lots of goodies! ♡ I did a lot of running around after amazing cosplayers and at one point I actually said to someone, “No please don’t go! I want to take a photo of you!” Sad, I know ^^” Here are some photos!
I’ve got some really, really good news… My eye has healed! I’ve never been so happy about something like that in my whole life. I’m still going to be very careful with it and keep it moisturised, but now I can finally put makeup on it! Here are a few agejo coords from last weekend~
♡ Queen of Hearts♡
This is my look for when I went out for a birthday party! I wore my new MA*RS set! I think it’s a replica because although I think it’s MA*RS the label says Princess Melody ^^” But that’s okay, it was still super cute!
Sorry for the low quality pictures… Was in such a rush ;_; And lighting is so bad in my room.
I put more of a focus on hair accessories this time because I always seem to lack in that department. I just bought these roses the day before and oh my gosh I am in love with the purple colour! I was in a hurry that I couldn’t take a decent photo of it, and my waves died after a work so it wasn’t quite as wavy as I wanted it to be.
Better picture of the hairstyle~ Eurgh can’t believe how fast my waves died! So annoying!
Made some nails to go with my new outfit! (I actually took this photo the next day tehehe~)
We ended up being late to the party but luckily the birthday girl was okay with that as more people started turning up around the same time we did!
Phew! I had so much fun. They played a lot of ’80s music which I loved and I danced lots and lots! It’s a shame that I didn’t take any photos… But it was pretty dark so you probably wouldn’t see anything anyway ^^”
Me and my boyfriend after the party ♡ We’re both idiots but it’s okay, we’re cool with it.
♡ Casual Brunch Date ♡
The next day me & my boyfriend decided to go out to Wagamama for some brunch! It’s the first time we’ve been there where we didn’t order a main… It felt kind of weird.
Please ignore my no-makeup face… I was still kinda’ sleepy tehehe.
In the evening we tried out a local thai restaurant and oh my gosh it was one of the best decisions we ever had! The food and atmosphere was amazing… I just had to take some photos for you all.
Isn’t it so amazing? I loved the whole atmosphere!
And my outfit & makeup! I went for a more onee gyaru look this time~ You might recognise this from my previous post ;D
Guess that’s all for now darlings! I’ll see you all next week ♡ Ciao!
On Wednesday I met up with my bby Pixie! It has been so long since I last saw her – like, May? – and I’ve missed her so much!
We decided to meet up early but I woke up to my eye being as swollen as ever! ;_; I knew I shouldn’t have rubbed it when I was tired the previous night… Luckily I bought a medical eye patch to cover it because there was no way that I wasn’t going to wear makeup.
I wish I realised just how big the eye patch was before I was doing my makeup… Because when I had finished and unwrapped it from its packaging I was starting to panic. It was huge! Like it covered all of my face! I had to sew it in half and work my magic so that I could actually see out of the other eye. But it was okay in the end and I started to feel better about it ^^
I went for a preppy d.i.a look and wore this shirt that I’ve had for ages but never really wore it. I need to wear it more often because it’s super pretty!
Booo this sucks ;_;
While I was getting ready I took advantage of my situation and snapped a make/no-make face shot! Isn’t gyaru makeup so amazing? What a difference it makes! *3*
I was in a rush so I wasn’t able to take a decent outfit picture, so a mirror shot would have to do!
Pixie took me to a nice Japanese restaurant down in . I was adventurous and tried out new dishes! I wasn’t too keen on the onigiri though… At least I now know what it tastes like, and can avoid it in future. The teriyaki beef was delicious though but I forgot to take a photo of it! ;_;
Selfies at the restaurant tehehe~ Pixie is so cute!
After our meal Pixie presented me with a little surprise: a seifuku set from her store Pixie Bunny! Oh my gosh I fell in love with it, the colour is absolutely beautiful! I’ve always wanted to do kogal again and the colour is so beautiful! Thank you so much cutie <3
Then we did some shopping! I was silently weeping because I found a really pretty coat in Miss Selfridge but it was £84 and my student discount expired the previous day. D’oh! But I did manage to buy some posh lipstick from Illamasqua. It’s not a shade that I’m used to but I liked it!
After that we headed home~ We’ve already arranged our next meet and I can’t wait to see her again! ♡
Oh and before I go… Pixie has brought out the love for himekaji in me again >///< I really want to have another go at it but I haven’t got the autumn wardrobe for it apart from the brown floral dress from Kawaii Gyaru Shop. It’s so sad ;_; So I’ve made a little himekaji wishlist of the things that would go with what I already have, as I need to save money at the same time. Most of these items were relatively cheap!
To also help me build my himekaji wardrobe slowly I’m going back by a few years and going to start the “points system” so that I’m working to gain points/goodies! I wrote about it in a post here.
It was a lovely afternoon; I had just taken some photos for my beauty review (which you can see in my previous post) and was about to take off my makeup and hibernate in bed when I got a text Chewiee asking if I could meet up with her in London. My friend Amber was free and wanted to see me! She had been in England for about a week now but unfortunately I wasn’t able to meet her because of work… So I was really happy that I had the chance to meet her before she flew back home! I quickly caught the next train to London and before I knew it I was sipping bubble tea and waiting for them all to arrive.
Hey everyone! How are you?
I’ve had a fantastic week (and weekend) so far; I’m back at home with my family and friends and I didn’t realise how much I’ve missed everyone until I had to drive home. I just couldn’t wait to get past all of the traffic! I guess home really is where the heart is.
I spent the first few days meeting my old friends and having good quality catch-up time, and what’s better to catch up then over some shopping and iced coffee? Below are my three outfits on the days that I went out!
Sweetheart
This was my outfit where I met up with my friend Annie, and perhaps the first time I wore “proper” makeup in a long time. As you can see, I couldn’t stay away from MA*RS for long. I’ve decided that it’s going to be hard to completely avoid it so I’m going to keep on wearing it until I’ve built up my hime wardrobe. It was on this day that I started my shopping spree… Whoops.
I put my hair up because it got way too hot with it down… Summer is definitely here!
Lace & Frills
And this was my outfit when I went to see “The Fault in Our Stars” with my sister! I wore my new shorts and top because it was way too hot to wear the dress with it. I also wore my new shoes as well (which I adore, by the way).
I haven’t really done this sort of style before… It was really “sweet”, but I really like it! It’s completely different to what I usually wear. I followed one of the tutorials in my post “Easy Gyaru Makeup & Hair Tutorials” as I didn’t have time to style it dramatically.
Blouse: New Look / Shorts: Spreepicky / Socks: Primark /
Shoes: Sweet Soul Shop / Acc: Primark & eBay
I know I’m a bit behind but… Have you guys seen “The Fault in Our Stars”? I read the book so I knew it was going to happen but I still blubbed like a baby. I cried so much that my lower lashes were hanging halfway down my face. Not a good look.
Vintage Doll
This was another “sweet” coord where I wore my Liz Lisa dress kindly sponsored by Kawaii Gyaru Shop! I love it so so much, thank you sweetie ♥ ♡ Enter the code LIZBEE to get a discount! ♡
So a little bit about the dress… It’s absolutely adorable. I felt like a doll pairing it with my new heeled brogues and lace socks, and it wasn’t too hot to wear at all despite it having two layers (which is great because then that means it isn’t see-through!) It’s really good for that casual-sweet style, and so I wore it when I met up with my friend for a meal and catch-up.

♥ Kawaii Gyaru Shop♥ sells lots and lots of cute Liz Lisa clothes as well as Sanrio accessories!
You should check them out! They are really nice and the owner is so lovely to talk to, and I think she has great taste. So go, buy! Tehehehe. ♡ Don’t forget to enter the code LIZBEE to get a discount! ♡
Anyway, I guess that’s all for today. I hope you like my outfits! Have a lovely rest of the week, and I’ll see you next Sunday! Ciao~ ♥
I went through the phase that nearly every girl went through; I fell in love with Hello Kitty, but it seems that even after so many years I’m still a huge fan of it. I’m not as crazy as I was before when I used to wear as much Hello Kitty as possible, but I still like an accessory here and there.
I am so sorry that I wasn’t able to post last week (but would you let me off because I posted it on my FB? Hahaha). I was just so caught up with uni work that I didn’t have the time to dress up nice or do anything about blogging so I had to take a break. But now that uni is over I feel a bit… Empty. I have been studying for most of my life and now I feel like I feel lost in reverie.
Is it just me or has the whole clock-going-forward thing really set you in a good mood? It has for me, as it’s a reminder that spring is creeping closer. I am so happy that I no longer have to wear long boring coats and 10000000x sweaters.
I’ve been really digging statement t-shirts this spring which is really weird because I used to think that they were ever so boring and unoriginal, but this dollar t-shirt really got me into them. I’ve got about three of such t-shirts now and I keep flicking between them but today I’m wearing this dollar one with my gorgeous high-waisted shorts that only Miss Selfridge can do.
I’m back vlogging again! This time is another video for Pixie Bunny where I talk about one of our Rosey Rabbit Headbands in pink x black. These have been one of the most successful-selling items (in my opinion) that we have in store and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them!
In the video I talk about what you could wear these bunny ears for all occasions, going-out or for just ‘casual’ days. They are absolutely perfect for those into agejo-gyaru because of the colour, as one of the signature colours of agejo is black and pink! I could easily find things to wear with these. If I have any more photos than those included in the video I shall update it on either my Facebook page or Pixie Bunny‘s page. I really hope you enjoy watching it!
Here are some behind-the-scenes photos I took just before shooting! I felt so flirty and sexy wearing these ears… It’s amazing how something could make you feel like that.
And that’s all for now! I hope you’re having a lovely weekend. Please remember to take a break for those who are stressing about uni/work/school/etc xx
I mentioned in my last post that I took a much-deserved break from uni which was a nice change since I’ve been spending so much time studying around Christmas. As I reward I treated myself to quite a fair amount this month to last me until summer so yeah, I’m feeling very positive at the moment (and stupid for spending money when I shouldn’t). I posted a picture of my haul on my facebook page.
I admit that I felt pretty lonely on Valentines Day because I wasn’t able to spend it with my boyfriend but we arranged to spend a whole day together when I was visiting my home town. This was what I wore: a MA*RS hoodie paired with New Lookjeans, and some heels from Dorothy Perkins. I wear these heels all of the time when I go out because they are at the perfect height for me (as I’ve got awkward feet). I wore my GOLDS Infinity top underneath but zipped my hoodie up so that I had a day and a night outfit! The hoodie was super cozy in this chilly winter that Britain seems to be trapped in so I can definitely see myself hibernating in it until summer.
I was going to leave my blog at that but then I realised… Wait, this isn’t like me… I normally talk quite a lot! So on with the rambling!
Our “Valentines” date was absolutely lovely, I had such a good time. I must admit that I did feel like Barbie when I trotted into Chiquitos – a near Mexican Restaurant that opened up in town – because everyone else was wearing jeans and t-shirts and then there’s me with my extremely pink, fluffy hoodie with cat ears and heels. Whoops. Oh well, my motto is that it’s better to be too glamorous than a slob (hahaha).

I don’t know what that black dot on my eye is but check out my new hat! Hahaha
Me & the boyf as we wait for our food!
I wish I did like Mexican food, I really do, but I felt that there was an overpowering amount of cheese in my dishes. At least I tried it though! Besides, it might’ve been my dishes rather than Mexican food as a whole… I’ll show you what I ordered anyway.
Deep-friend potato skins filled with cheese, salsa and sweetcorn
Tacos!
Chicken wrap filled with Mexican rice, lettuce, cheese and this sauce I can’t remember
Churros
Right I can tell that you’re almost drooling onto your lap so I’ll take it as my cue to leave. Until next time! I hope you all have a lovely rest of the weekend xx
I don’t know about you but I’m exhausted; it’s not that I’ve been doing a lot of work in the past week but because I decided to do all of that work in one night. Last night, actually, and it was probably one of the stupidest things I’ve done.
It’s sad that now that I’m back working and doing heaps of uni work that I’m really looking forward to my next break. I’ve got a party to go to sometime in March so I’ve been digging through my wardrobe and found this leopard print dress. I haven’t actually worn it before which is crazy because it’s gorgeous.
I paired this dress with some heels that my sister bought for me from New Look – something else I’ve not yet worn because of this stupid weather – and some gold jewellery (you can get similar boots here). I think I might just wear this for the party! The dress is made from a sort-of sweater/jumper material so I don’t really need to wear anything extra, especially because it’s got long sleeves. I probably would wear tights though in the evening just in case…
I think I’ve fallen in love with this dress. It’s definitely going to keep me warm, and because of the design at the front and back it gives me the illusion of having lovely curves! I’m really skinny so finding something that makes me look like I have curves is pretty difficult.
The only thing I would say about this dress is that it’s a tiny bit too short, so I’d definitely recommend wearing shorts underneath just in case!
So what do you normally wear on nights out? I’m still trying to think of other possibilities, but I’m not too sure whether I’d wear any brands (like MA*RS) when going out drinking.
Before I go: thank you very much to those who took part in my poll! The results were quite interesting and it seems that people still want to see more outfit & makeup posts. I guess that this post is the first of many in future!
Anyway, that’s all for now. I hope you have a good rest of the weekend! xx
Lizzie Bee
Many thanks to Persunmall for sponsoring me with this dress!
Hey guys! How is your year so far? Are you having a good year so far? (Or is it too early to say that?)
I did, my year has definitely had a great start… And do you want to know why? It’s because SHERLOCK’S BACK IN TOWN, AWH YIH.
As you may already know, I’m a big fan of Sherlock. As soon as I saw Benedict Cumberbatch’s face on the screen I emitted a little fan-girl scream (surprising my housemate) and continued to do so for about ten minutes or so. I was just so happy to see it back on the screen after goodness knows how long.
But I’m going to stop there because I want this blog to be spoiler-free, but those who have watched it… It was amazing, wasn’t it?!
My New Years Eve didn’t, however, feel much like New Years Eve and it’s probably because it as the first time I didn’t see my family nor boyfriend at all. Living away from home does make things difficult, but it only makes me look forward to going home even more! Can’t wait until all of my uni assignments are done. Luckily I was invited to go out to the pub with my housemate and I went out in ane gal, which isn’t what I usually do, so my makeup was very agejo inspired. I was originally going to do cornrows on one side but my hair just ended up being so curly that it looked a bit weird.
I wore my favourite jeans going out, and this belt that I haven’t worn in what feels like ages. I really should do oraora/ane gal a lot more.
So, yes, 2013: the year of many ups and downs and also of being relatively naughty and spending lots of money on MA*RS. That’s all going to change this year! I’ve promised myself to be a Budget Gal and not spend on over £50 a month (including going out to London), and I’ll be referring back to my points system. I guess that’s resolution number one right there! I wasn’t going to do New Years Resolutions this year but it feels kind of weird not doing them so here’s my list!:
1. Improve on my blogging
3. Keep to my gal budget
4. Try out more hairstyles
I’m keeping it really simple this year because otherwise I’d never stick to them. I think I might go into more detail of my goals and inspirations in my next post. What’re your New Years Resolutions? Got many this year?
Okay I don’t know how many times I’ve written this post but boy this must be what, the fifth or sixth time where I just deleted everything and wrote again? I don’t know. Oh well, hopefully this will be the last time I write this blog post (or I swear I’m just gonna’ give up and have nothing but pictures on it, haha).
Gal, to me, is a bit of a love/hate relationship; yes I’ve finally managed to find a glue that’s suitable for my eye but I do need to make sure I wash my brushes etc every time before I use them. This is kind of a pain in the butt so I tend only to do gal make once a week because I just don’t have the time for it… And mainly because when I doll up I end up taking pictures instead of doing what I should be doing i.e. driving to uni. Whoops.
So I might be posting some coords etc on here but skip the gal make and hair. Right now I just want to focus on my coords before moving onto anything else. I put hair last because I really, really suck at doing hair. If only I had a personal hair stylist or someone to help me out with this!
I’m going to make Sunday my gal day so that I can feel “normal”. It’s basically what I did before I started doing it everyday and then f*cking up my eye and making my skin go all sensitive. Until then I’ll be doing natural makeup everyday. It’s not gal but I’m happy, and that’s the most important thing, right?
Enough of the chit chat and onto the photos! Doing agejo again because damn I love that style so much ❤
I actually really like the photo above! It’s weird because I took this when I turned off my table lamp and it produced a really nice ‘glow’. Unfortunately it does make my face look a little too orange and drown my blusher though haha.
I went for the softer gal makeup as this is the eyeshadow technique that I normally use in my daily makeup.
So how often do you do gal? Are you all lucky enough to actually have time to do it everyday? If so, I’m uber jealous of you. Damn I miss those days where I can wear lashes every day without worrying about anything.
I had such a good start to this month! I was very selfish and had my boyfriend all to my self. It’s been ages since I last saw him – over a month! – so I always try to spend as much time with him as possible whenever I see him.
He arrived at mine on Friday and we treated ourselves by going to a new Chinese restaurant, and when I say ‘new’ it just means that it wasn’t Wagamama. We go there way too much so needed something refreshing! Chinese restaurants are also nice anyway. I wanted to be all dolled up and pretty so I wore my lashes! I was a bit sceptical at first because even though they’ve been okay so far I was just worried about being let down and getting a busted eye again. I even curled my hair, which I haven’t done in what seems like ages.
We ordered this set meal kind of deal where you just get loads and loads of little dishes served in three sections, and boy was there a lot of food! Here are some photos I took really quickly (as we were starving) so please excuse me if they’re blurry.
To be honest the food wasn’t that great but I was so hungry I didn’t care. It was for a really good price as well so I can’t really complain but I don’t think I’ll get this ‘feast’ again. I don’t know, I guess I’m just really picky when it comes to meat but the duck pancakes were to die for.
Me and my honey <3 Wow, my front camera is shocking!
Then on Sunday we went for a bit of Xmas shopping in London! I managed to doll up on that day as well as my eye was fine after our dinner, plus who doesn’t want to look pretty when going shopping? Hopefully this is a sign that this lash adhesive is okay for my uber-sensitive eyes! I went for the agejo look again because I love that style so much. Slowly fulfilling my dreams of being a MA*RS gal…
We went to the Stratford Westfield because it’s the only place I know that has a decent amount of shops without me having to trek all the way across London. It was absolutely perfect and I managed to get a couple of bits and bobs but restrained from getting anything for myself (December is a really bad month for me, money-wise… all of those presents that need buying!) It was actually pretty tiring after a while so we grabbed some tea and chilled out for a bit.
Little things like this make my day 😀
Afterwards was our double date with Pixie Late and Alex! They are amazing people and I really enjoy spending time with them. We get along so well and can talk about almost anything so it was really nice seeing them so soon after Expo (‘soon’ as in around a month’s time hahaha). It’s nice that my honey was able to talk to them too because we all share the same interests which is great 😀
And that was it! Now that I look back it doesn’t really sound as if I’ve done a lot that weekend but trust me, shopping and eating did take up most of our time. Did I mention that my honey and I were right ol’ pigs and ate lots of chocolate and ice cream as we watched The Mummy? Well, I guess I have now!
