A New Direction? Mermaid Princess!

mermaid, princess, mahoukei, jfashion, kawaii

Life has been quite… Hectic for me lately. I’m going through an emotional roller-coaster at the moment which was triggered by my stupid eye. To cut the story short; my eye went poop and my self-esteem went down. Thank goodness I have really supportive friends! I don’t know what I would do without you peeps.

This has really affected the “gyaru me” because gyaru is very make-up orientated, but I took this chance to look at other Japanese fashion styles. I haven’t pinpointed the one I like yet but I’m loving pastels and mermaids and general magical stuff lately! I went shopping with my friend Amy last weekend and bought this super cute mermaid blouse & pastel pink jeans, and I wore it to her birthday party.

So here goes… A new me! (Maybe?) I’m calling this my mermaid princess look tehe.

One Item Five Ways: Liz Lisa Skirt

I’m so happy that everyone liked my haul post – I’m going to try and do more in future but next time I’ll save the links to everything I buy! eBay has saved my life, and I’ll definitely shop from there from now on (with the occasional cheeky shop elsewhere).

For now, I just want to work with what I’ve got! I have so many clothes, so why is it so hard to put an outfit together? To help me out a bit I’ve decided to do a “one item in five ways” post like they did in the old gyaru magazines. It’ll help me become more creative with my clothes and save me from buying something that I already have. In this post I’m going to create five different outfits for my Liz Lisa skirt! I’m in love with it, and I’m so glad that I’ve managed to get the complete set from Kawaii Gyaru Shop.

A Touch of Magic!

Hey cuties! How are you today? ♡

I went to see Cinderella with a friend last weekend! I was supposed to see it ages ago but I had to push back my plans because I was ill ;_; So it gave me something to look forward to!

I decided to wear something a bit more ‘princess-y’, and what’s more princess-like than my Liz Lisa set? I’m so happy that I was able to get this from Kawaii Gyaru Shop as they sell out so quickly… I’m hoping to get more Liz Lisa items when it gets warmer. Idk why but I’ve been really digging light, ‘girly’ gyaru looks!

Instead of wearing the whole set I just wore the top and paired it with some light-coloured jeans to make it look more casual. It’s finally starting to get warm enough to wear all of my spring stuff!

I also received my Sailor Moon Selfie Stick from Official Syndrome Store that I won in a giveaway back in February! There were a few complications with shipping (Easter is a b*tch in terms of postage) but I was so happy to receive it in the end. I was so worried that it was going to be lost in the mail again.

sailor moon selfie stick

As I had an hour or so to spare I decided to have a play around with it. I’m still trying to get to grips with it… I can’t balance anything to save my life!

I love this selfie stick! It’s going to take me a while to get used to, but it’s so cute! ꒰* ॢꈍ◡ꈍ ॢ꒱.*˚‧♡

After my selfie session I went off to the cinema! Is it me or is it getting more and more expensive to go and watch films nowadays? I easily spent nearly £15 just buying a ticket and some popcorn o_o Such a rip off! But I had a really nice time all the same. I just loved Cinderella’s ball dress, and the prince was played by Richard Madden who I really liked in Game of Thrones.

That dress *_*

After the cinema I then treated myself to some ice-cream/sundae! I got ‘Chocolate Overload’ and it was delicious *3*

That’s all for today! Have you guys seen Cinderella? I would definitely recommend the film to those
who love Disney! It pretty much stuck to the original storyline, and the
costume design was amazing.

Until next Sunday~

In the Name of the Moon, Sailor Gyaru!

Hey cuties! How are you today?

It was the International Day of Happiness a few days ago (or weeks, I’m really behind on blogging haha). I didn’t know about it until I read it on Facebook, and strangely enough it was a really good day for me. One of the main things was that my bby Chewiee came over to visit!

We’ve both been really digging into the whole Swankiss look recently, so when she came round we tried it out! I really want to be able to put together some Swankiss-inspired outfits but I’m still really nervous about dressing over-the-top cute ;_; So my outfit wasn’t really Swankiss inspired… I just wanted an excuse to wear my Sailor Moon fleece tehehehe~ Magical Girl Power! Hopefully next time I can put together a more Swankiss inspired coordinate, but today I am Sailor Gyaru!

I really love the way the shop staff at Swankiss incorporate lots of bright colours, especially in their eye makeup. I was starting to get really bored of just wearing shades of brown and blacks all of the time, so for that day I decided to go for blues and pinks tones. I also tried out eye bags! I used to think it was really weird and a bit painful to look out, but now I think it’s super cute!

Time for some selfies! The lighting in my room was so good that day!

We did a little shopping and I treated myself to a new dress that I think looks great with onee gyaru as well as a cute satchel-sorta-bag to go with my outfit! The rest were just some makeup necessities. It’s amazing how much makeup costs o_o Then we headed out to get some ice-cream! I got “Strawberry Blonde”.

After that we just relaxed and then went out for some Chinese food in the evening before she had to go. It was so lovely to just chill out!

I’ve been thinking a lot about my style over the past week or so… Don’t get me wrong, I’ll never leave agejo completely, but I think it’s nice to dabble with new styles and right now I feel a lot more comfortable doing gal make & hair but ditching the brand clothes. I’ll see how this goes!

Alright I guess that’s it for today! Until next Sunday!

Oh Sweet Agejo~

Hey cutie patooties! How are you?

I’ve been obsessed with wearing pink lately, I just can’t get enough of it! It’s kind of annoying though because my wardrobe is mostly black and dark pink, not the light pink that I’m looking for, but I’m making do!

Ages ago I mentioned mixing up with agejo and hime, and I’ve been trying it out quite a lot recently! I’m focusing more on pink and a cute appearance instead of really sexy. I actually really like it >\< So this post will be a series of outfits

Ice Cream Date~
I did this style when me and my boyfriend went on a date to a nice cafe! It was so cold… I think Germany has trained me on how to wear lots of thin layers of tights to keep me warm tehe. I got quite frustrated because I really wanted to try out a new hairstyle but it went horribly wrong. I panicked, and covered it up with pigtails so it was all sorted by the time my boyfriend arrived to go on our date ;D mission accomplished!

And pics of the cafe! It was so cute! I loved the decorations.

Birthday Get-Together
I was trying so hard to look casual for this but still ended up spending about an hour on my hair @_@ doing my hair is an absolute nightmare! Especially when it comes to curling it. I’m going to try out a way to curl my hair overnight by using those spongey-curlers or something. Can’t remember what they were called!

I wore my favourite MA*RS sweater! I love it so much. I think you can wear it so that it slips a little down the shoulders, but I quite like it like this.

Sweater & belt: MA*RS / acc: Muse / socks: eBay / heels: Dorothy Perkins

Valentine’s Day – Agejo Princess
I also wore this style on Valentine’s Day! Me and my boyfriend couldn’t celebrate it on the actual day as he was working, so we spend the whole of Sunday together
I wanted to dress as a princess for him and wore this pink crop sweater that I bought a while back but never got a chance to wear! It took me ages to pick an outfit… And here it is!

I guess I could call this outfit “Agejo princess?” Tehehehe ~ This is my favourite hairstyle >\\< and my hair stayed curly! Could you believe it?

agejo hime gyaru mysticthorn

I made some nails for Valentine’s Day Unfortunately I couldn’t get them off so I had to use nail remover which kind of disintegrated them ;_; But oh wells! At least I can now focus on producing better designs ^^

We went to see Big Hero 6! Gosh I love that film so much… The animation was beautiful although now I’m torn between that and How to Train Your Dragon 2! I love Toothless so much… I’m so conflicted ;_; I think I’ll be happy with either one if they won an Oscar! Have you seen big hero 6 yet? If not I’d definitely recommend it!

After that we headed to a Chinese restaurant! The waitress there recognised me from before which was super cute >\\\< and like before, the food was yummy! Really cheap too! I got the beef egg noodle soup~

Then we went back to mine, took some selfies and chilled out. This is my favourite selfie <3 I wish my lighting and camera quality was better but oh well!

<3

That’s all for today! I really want to do this style more often but first I need to find more clothes for it… Hmm, does this mean I can buy new- NO! No I can’t! I need to save up so badly ;_; I’m such a big spender!

Sigh. I hope I’m not the only one with this problem! But oh well!

Until next Sunday my cuties have a brilliant weekend & week!

Baby Steps to Hime Gyaru!

hime gyaru, gaijin gyaru

This was going to be a post about my Christmas celebrations but seeing as I haven’t taken any photos… Well, that’s not going to happen but I do have a photo of my outfit and my face to make up for it! I tried out hime gyaru because I finally managed to get my hands on a Princess Melody dress. It was really short (you could see my butt cheeks) so I bought a skirt to go underneath it.

Agejo Gyaru at MCM Expo!

Hey everyone! How are you? Hope you’re having a good weekend so far!

Last week I went to MCM Expo! I did OTT agejo gyaru and I was quite nervous about this because I’ve never done this before, but then I thought about all of the amazing people I was going to see ଘ꒰◍ॢ•ᴗ•◍ॢ꒱༌✩ plus I really wanted to wear my new MA*RS socks and Ruby Rose headband that Charli got for me

I met my friend Melissa at expo and after going through the queue we headed straight to meet a few of my friends. It was a bit confusing because everything is split into two rooms now… But it means that there are more stalls to buy from tehehe. So for the rest of the day we scoured the stalls and bought lots of goodies! I did a lot of running around after amazing cosplayers and at one point I actually said to someone, “No please don’t go! I want to take a photo of you!” Sad, I know ^^” Here are some photos!

Dinner Dates & Late Night Parties!

Hey guys! How are you?

I’ve got some really, really good news… My eye has healed! I’ve never been so happy about something like that in my whole life. I’m still going to be very careful with it and keep it moisturised, but now I can finally put makeup on it! Here are a few agejo coords from last weekend~

♡ Queen of Hearts

This is my look for when I went out for a birthday party! I wore my new MA*RS set! I think it’s a replica because although I think it’s MA*RS the label says Princess Melody ^^” But that’s okay, it was still super cute!

Sorry for the low quality pictures… Was in such a rush ;_; And lighting is so bad in my room.

Set: MA*RS Replica / Belt: MA*RS / Acc: New Look & Muse / Socks: Primark / Heels: Dorothy Perkins

I put more of a focus on hair accessories this time because I always seem to lack in that department. I just bought these roses the day before and oh my gosh I am in love with the purple colour! I was in a hurry that I couldn’t take a decent photo of it, and my waves died after a work so it wasn’t quite as wavy as I wanted it to be.

Better picture of the hairstyle~ Eurgh can’t believe how fast my waves died! So annoying!
Made some nails to go with my new outfit! (I actually took this photo the next day tehehe~)

We ended up being late to the party but luckily the birthday girl was okay with that as more people started turning up around the same time we did!
Phew! I had so much fun. They played a lot of ’80s music which I loved and I danced lots and lots! It’s a shame that I didn’t take any photos… But it was pretty dark so you probably wouldn’t see anything anyway ^^”

Me and my boyfriend after the party We’re both idiots but it’s okay, we’re cool with it.

Casual Brunch Date ♡

The next day me & my boyfriend decided to go out to Wagamama for some brunch! It’s the first time we’ve been there where we didn’t order a main… It felt kind of weird.

Please ignore my no-makeup face… I was still kinda’ sleepy tehehe.

Yummy food!

♡ Thai Curry Date

In the evening we tried out a local thai restaurant and oh my gosh it was one of the best decisions we ever had! The food and atmosphere was amazing… I just had to take some photos for you all.

Isn’t it so amazing? I loved the whole atmosphere!

And my outfit & makeup! I went for a more onee gyaru look this time~ You might recognise this from my previous post ;D

Guess that’s all for now darlings! I’ll see you all next week Ciao!

Arrr Me Hearties~ Shopping with Pixie!

Hey everyone! How’re you today?

On Wednesday I met up with my bby Pixie! It has been so long since I last saw her – like, May? – and I’ve missed her so much!

We decided to meet up early but I woke up to my eye being as swollen as ever! ;_; I knew I shouldn’t have rubbed it when I was tired the previous night… Luckily I bought a medical eye patch to cover it because there was no way that I wasn’t going to wear makeup.

I wish I realised just how big the eye patch was before I was doing my makeup… Because when I had finished and unwrapped it from its packaging I was starting to panic. It was huge! Like it covered all of my face! I had to sew it in half and work my magic so that I could actually see out of the other eye. But it was okay in the end and I started to feel better about it ^^

I went for a preppy d.i.a look and wore this shirt that I’ve had for ages but never really wore it. I need to wear it more often because it’s super pretty!

Booo this sucks ;_;

While I was getting ready I took advantage of my situation and snapped a make/no-make face shot! Isn’t gyaru makeup so amazing? What a difference it makes! *3*

I was in a rush so I wasn’t able to take a decent outfit picture, so a mirror shot would have to do!

Top: d.i.a / Belt: Yumetenbo / Shorts: Reveal / Socks: Primark / Shoes: New Look / Acc: Muse

Pixie took me to a nice Japanese restaurant down in . I was adventurous and tried out new dishes! I wasn’t too keen on the onigiri though… At least I now know what it tastes like, and can avoid it in future. The teriyaki beef was delicious though but I forgot to take a photo of it! ;_;

Selfies at the restaurant tehehe~ Pixie is so cute!

After our meal Pixie presented me with a little surprise: a seifuku set from her store Pixie Bunny! Oh my gosh I fell in love with it, the colour is absolutely beautiful! I’ve always wanted to do kogal again and the colour is so beautiful! Thank you so much cutie <3

Then we did some shopping! I was silently weeping because I found a really pretty coat in Miss Selfridge but it was £84 and my student discount expired the previous day. D’oh! But I did manage to buy some posh lipstick from Illamasqua. It’s not a shade that I’m used to but I liked it!

After that we headed home~ We’ve already arranged our next meet and I can’t wait to see her again!

Oh and before I go… Pixie has brought out the love for himekaji in me again >///< I really want to have another go at it but I haven’t got the autumn wardrobe for it apart from the brown floral dress from Kawaii Gyaru Shop. It’s so sad ;_; So I’ve made a little himekaji wishlist of the things that would go with what I already have, as I need to save money at the same time. Most of these items were relatively cheap!

To also help me build my himekaji wardrobe slowly I’m going back by a few years and going to start the “points system” so that I’m working to gain points/goodies! I wrote about it in a post here.

ponytail extension / floral sweater / cute red dress / cute bowknot casual platforms / jaquard white tights / high-waisted skirt / pink lace choker / princess pearl bow necklace / bow hairclip /

That’s all for now! Until next week. Have a great weekend

Teeny Tiny Trip to London

teeny tiny trip to london, london photo booth, purikura

It was a lovely afternoon; I had just taken some photos for my beauty review (which you can see in my previous post) and was about to take off my makeup and hibernate in bed when I got a text Chewiee asking if I could meet up with her in London. My friend Amber was free and wanted to see me! She had been in England for about a week now but unfortunately I wasn’t able to meet her because of work… So I was really happy that I had the chance to meet her before she flew back home! I quickly caught the next train to London and before I knew it I was sipping bubble tea and waiting for them all to arrive.

Sugar & Spice

Hey everyone! How are you?
I’ve had a fantastic week (and weekend) so far; I’m back at home with my family and friends and I didn’t realise how much I’ve missed everyone until I had to drive home. I just couldn’t wait to get past all of the traffic! I guess home really is where the heart is.

I spent the first few days meeting my old friends and having good quality catch-up time, and what’s better to catch up then over some shopping and iced coffee? Below are my three outfits on the days that I went out!

Sweetheart
This was my outfit where I met up with my friend Annie, and perhaps the first time I wore “proper” makeup in a long time. As you can see, I couldn’t stay away from MA*RS for long. I’ve decided that it’s going to be hard to completely avoid it so I’m going to keep on wearing it until I’ve built up my hime wardrobe. It was on this day that I started my shopping spree… Whoops.

Top: MA*RS / Shorts: Reveal / Heels: Dorothy Perkins /

Acc: Muse & GOLDS Infinity

I put my hair up because it got way too hot with it down… Summer is definitely here!

Lace & Frills
And this was my outfit when I went to see “The Fault in Our Stars” with my sister! I wore my new shorts and top because it was way too hot to wear the dress with it. I also wore my new shoes as well (which I adore, by the way).

I haven’t really done this sort of style before… It was really “sweet”, but I really like it! It’s completely different to what I usually wear. I followed one of the tutorials in my post “Easy Gyaru Makeup & Hair Tutorials” as I didn’t have time to style it dramatically.

Blouse: New Look / Shorts: Spreepicky / Socks: Primark /

Shoes: Sweet Soul Shop / Acc: Primark & eBay

I know I’m a bit behind but… Have you guys seen “The Fault in Our Stars”? I read the book so I knew it was going to happen but I still blubbed like a baby. I cried so much that my lower lashes were hanging halfway down my face. Not a good look.

Vintage Doll

This was another “sweet” coord where I wore my Liz Lisa dress kindly sponsored by Kawaii Gyaru Shop! I love it so so much, thank you sweetie Enter the code LIZBEE to get a discount!

Dress: Liz Lisa (Kawaii Gyaru Shop) coupon code: LIZBEE  /

Bag: Primark / Socks: Primark

Shoes: New Look / Acc: Primark & New Look

So a little bit about the dress… It’s absolutely adorable. I felt like a doll pairing it with my new heeled brogues and lace socks, and it wasn’t too hot to wear at all despite it having two layers (which is great because then that means it isn’t see-through!) It’s really good for that casual-sweet style, and so I wore it when I met up with my friend for a meal and catch-up.

outfit closeup

Kawaii Gyaru Shop sells lots and lots of cute Liz Lisa clothes as well as Sanrio accessories!

You should check them out! They are really nice and the owner is so lovely to talk to, and I think she has great taste. So go, buy! Tehehehe. ♡ Don’t forget to enter the code LIZBEE to get a discount!

Anyway, I guess that’s all for today. I hope you like my outfits! Have a lovely rest of the week, and I’ll see you next Sunday! Ciao~

Reverie

persunmall review, himekaji, gyaru, gaijin gyaru

I am so sorry that I wasn’t able to post last week (but would you let me off because I posted it on my FB? Hahaha). I was just so caught up with uni work that I didn’t have the time to dress up nice or do anything about blogging so I had to take a break. But now that uni is over I feel a bit… Empty. I have been studying for most of my life and now I feel like I feel lost in reverie.
