Agejo Gyaru at MCM Expo!

Hey everyone! How are you? Hope you’re having a good weekend so far!

Last week I went to MCM Expo! I did OTT agejo gyaru and I was quite nervous about this because I’ve never done this before, but then I thought about all of the amazing people I was going to see ଘ꒰◍ॢ•ᴗ•◍ॢ꒱༌✩ plus I really wanted to wear my new MA*RS socks and Ruby Rose headband that Charli got for me

I met my friend Melissa at expo and after going through the queue we headed straight to meet a few of my friends. It was a bit confusing because everything is split into two rooms now… But it means that there are more stalls to buy from tehehe. So for the rest of the day we scoured the stalls and bought lots of goodies! I did a lot of running around after amazing cosplayers and at one point I actually said to someone, “No please don’t go! I want to take a photo of you!” Sad, I know ^^” Here are some photos!

Dinner Dates & Late Night Parties!

Hey guys! How are you?

I’ve got some really, really good news… My eye has healed! I’ve never been so happy about something like that in my whole life. I’m still going to be very careful with it and keep it moisturised, but now I can finally put makeup on it! Here are a few agejo coords from last weekend~

♡ Queen of Hearts

This is my look for when I went out for a birthday party! I wore my new MA*RS set! I think it’s a replica because although I think it’s MA*RS the label says Princess Melody ^^” But that’s okay, it was still super cute!

Sorry for the low quality pictures… Was in such a rush ;_; And lighting is so bad in my room.

Set: MA*RS Replica / Belt: MA*RS / Acc: New Look & Muse / Socks: Primark / Heels: Dorothy Perkins

I put more of a focus on hair accessories this time because I always seem to lack in that department. I just bought these roses the day before and oh my gosh I am in love with the purple colour! I was in a hurry that I couldn’t take a decent photo of it, and my waves died after a work so it wasn’t quite as wavy as I wanted it to be.

Better picture of the hairstyle~ Eurgh can’t believe how fast my waves died! So annoying!
Made some nails to go with my new outfit! (I actually took this photo the next day tehehe~)

We ended up being late to the party but luckily the birthday girl was okay with that as more people started turning up around the same time we did!
Phew! I had so much fun. They played a lot of ’80s music which I loved and I danced lots and lots! It’s a shame that I didn’t take any photos… But it was pretty dark so you probably wouldn’t see anything anyway ^^”

Me and my boyfriend after the party We’re both idiots but it’s okay, we’re cool with it.

Casual Brunch Date ♡

The next day me & my boyfriend decided to go out to Wagamama for some brunch! It’s the first time we’ve been there where we didn’t order a main… It felt kind of weird.

Please ignore my no-makeup face… I was still kinda’ sleepy tehehe.

Casual agejo coord~

Yummy food!

♡ Thai Curry Date

In the evening we tried out a local thai restaurant and oh my gosh it was one of the best decisions we ever had! The food and atmosphere was amazing… I just had to take some photos for you all.

Isn’t it so amazing? I loved the whole atmosphere!

And my outfit & makeup! I went for a more onee gyaru look this time~ You might recognise this from my previous post ;D

Guess that’s all for now darlings! I’ll see you all next week Ciao!

My Gyaru Wardrobe, Take Two!

I was going through my gyaru wardrobe one day when I realised just how much it has expanded over the past year or two. It’s crazy! It made me think about all of the money I spent and I sincerely apologise, Bank, for breaking you repeatedly. I promise I won’t spend as much over the next week year or so! This brought me back to my gyaru wardrobe post that I wrote back in 2012 linkso I think it’s time that I update it and see where my style has taken me!

A Busy Gal’s Life: Recent Outings!

Hey everyone! How are you?

I’ve
been doing quite a lot recently… Now that uni is over I finally have
more time to see my friends! I was going to do these posts separately
but then my blog would be so behind and I’d get annoyed at myself, tehe.

Meeting up with Charli~

So the first “meet” I had was with my bby Charli It had been ages since I saw her, and I missed her so much ( •̣̣̣̣̣̥́௰•̣̣̣̣̣̥̀ )
We didn’t meet up until much later because the trains were being an
absolute pain, but we did have time to eat some yummy food, take
purikura & some photos! Guess who was the one pulling disgusting
faces? (Idk how she puts up with me :P)

our feast!

She’s so cute (⑅ ॣ•͈ᴗ•͈ ॣ)

My makeup & outfit~ please excuse my boring makeup ( •̣̣̣̣̣̥́௰•̣̣̣̣̣̥̀ ) I had a teeny-tiny cut under my eye
which didn’t help, so skipped out on the lower lashes. Eurgh it felt so
strange! I went for a red & black theme and wore one of my favourite tees and my red lippy

♡ Day Out with Chewiee & Marie

When
I met up with Chewiee & Marie I decided to try out himekaji again
because I’m falling more and more in love with that style! I’m hoping to
wear it more often in between agejo & other styles, and I’m going
to try and slowly get into hime gyaru. If only I had the money ( •̣̣̣̣̣̥́௰•̣̣̣̣̣̥̀ ) I spent it all over the summer holidays! Boo ( •̣̣̣̣̣̥́௰•̣̣̣̣̣̥̀ )

We
did the usual take purikura & eat delicious food but this time we
also did some karaoke! It was quite funny because it started off with
the stereotypical karaoke songs which then slowly turned into Japanese
screamo & Within Temptation 😛 It was so fun!

I uploaded some photos of my outfit & make in my previous post here

I had Korean Bibimbap! I think that’s what it’s called anyway… It was yummy!

They were absolutely gorgeous in d.i.a, and I wish I wore d.i.a so that I could match ;_; Next time, maybe?

I really do hope I can see these girlies a lot more, together with the rest of the members from our Gal Unit JEWEL! <3

Work Meal

One
of my work colleagues is leaving to go to uni so we arranged to have a
meal together! Luckily I managed to get let off work a bit earlier so
that I had more time to do my makeup. This time I went for an elegant
agejo look as I was still in a bit of a rush.

I realised that I haven’t actually worn this dress since last year. Whoops!

Dress: MA*RS / Jewellery: Gorgeous Barbie & Primark / Bag: MA*RS / Shoes: Dorothy Perkins

The food was delicious but I didn’t take any good photos ;_; I will when I go there again

That’s
all for now cuties! I’m sorry that this is a super long post… I’m
hoping to do gal make a lot more now that I don’t have uni so maybe I
have more interesting things to post!

So what have you been up to these past couple of weeks? Anything exciting? Oh and what’s your favourite karaoke song? ;D

Until next time~

P.S Charli is running an online shop over at FB: Honey LY! She’ll be selling lots of Japanese brand like d.i.a, ma*rs… So please keep an eye out! ^^

Teeny Tiny Trip to London

teeny tiny trip to london, london photo booth, purikura

It was a lovely afternoon; I had just taken some photos for my beauty review (which you can see in my previous post) and was about to take off my makeup and hibernate in bed when I got a text Chewiee asking if I could meet up with her in London. My friend Amber was free and wanted to see me! She had been in England for about a week now but unfortunately I wasn’t able to meet her because of work… So I was really happy that I had the chance to meet her before she flew back home! I quickly caught the next train to London and before I knew it I was sipping bubble tea and waiting for them all to arrive.

Sugar & Spice

Hey everyone! How are you?
I’ve had a fantastic week (and weekend) so far; I’m back at home with my family and friends and I didn’t realise how much I’ve missed everyone until I had to drive home. I just couldn’t wait to get past all of the traffic! I guess home really is where the heart is.

I spent the first few days meeting my old friends and having good quality catch-up time, and what’s better to catch up then over some shopping and iced coffee? Below are my three outfits on the days that I went out!

Sweetheart
This was my outfit where I met up with my friend Annie, and perhaps the first time I wore “proper” makeup in a long time. As you can see, I couldn’t stay away from MA*RS for long. I’ve decided that it’s going to be hard to completely avoid it so I’m going to keep on wearing it until I’ve built up my hime wardrobe. It was on this day that I started my shopping spree… Whoops.

Top: MA*RS / Shorts: Reveal / Heels: Dorothy Perkins /

Acc: Muse & GOLDS Infinity

I put my hair up because it got way too hot with it down… Summer is definitely here!

Lace & Frills
And this was my outfit when I went to see “The Fault in Our Stars” with my sister! I wore my new shorts and top because it was way too hot to wear the dress with it. I also wore my new shoes as well (which I adore, by the way).

I haven’t really done this sort of style before… It was really “sweet”, but I really like it! It’s completely different to what I usually wear. I followed one of the tutorials in my post “Easy Gyaru Makeup & Hair Tutorials” as I didn’t have time to style it dramatically.

Blouse: New Look / Shorts: Spreepicky / Socks: Primark /

Shoes: Sweet Soul Shop / Acc: Primark & eBay

I know I’m a bit behind but… Have you guys seen “The Fault in Our Stars”? I read the book so I knew it was going to happen but I still blubbed like a baby. I cried so much that my lower lashes were hanging halfway down my face. Not a good look.

Vintage Doll

This was another “sweet” coord where I wore my Liz Lisa dress kindly sponsored by Kawaii Gyaru Shop! I love it so so much, thank you sweetie Enter the code LIZBEE to get a discount!

Dress: Liz Lisa (Kawaii Gyaru Shop) coupon code: LIZBEE  /

Bag: Primark / Socks: Primark

Shoes: New Look / Acc: Primark & New Look

So a little bit about the dress… It’s absolutely adorable. I felt like a doll pairing it with my new heeled brogues and lace socks, and it wasn’t too hot to wear at all despite it having two layers (which is great because then that means it isn’t see-through!) It’s really good for that casual-sweet style, and so I wore it when I met up with my friend for a meal and catch-up.

Kawaii Gyaru Shop sells lots and lots of cute Liz Lisa clothes as well as Sanrio accessories!

You should check them out! They are really nice and the owner is so lovely to talk to, and I think she has great taste. So go, buy! Tehehehe. ♡ Don’t forget to enter the code LIZBEE to get a discount!

Anyway, I guess that’s all for today. I hope you like my outfits! Have a lovely rest of the week, and I’ll see you next Sunday! Ciao~

Where Did the Sun Go?! Gal Day Out!

Hey guys! How’s it going?

I’ve been feeling really down lately ;_;  I can’t really pinpoint the reason behind it but I think it might be the weather? Could people’s moods be affected by such a thing? Whatever it was, I felt constantly exhausted and just wanted to curl up in bed eating chocolate and watching films.

So I was really looking forward to finally seeing some of my friends that I haven’t seen in a long, long time. However nothing seemed to go right that day; the weather was crap, my hair didn’t turn out like I thought it would, and my lashes just wouldn’t cooperate… I was experiencing almost every gaijin gyaru problem that there could possibly be! I got so fed up that I thought “Aah f*ck it” and just walked out the door and made my way to London.

This was my makeup and outfit for the day! Please excuse how crappy my makeup looks… And my hair… And my face in general ;_; At least my outfit was nice though! Would’ve looked better with my straw hat but blame that on the sh*tty weather.

I have to say that I do love these upper lashes though; they were from Born Pretty Store and really good for that “soft” appearance. You can get 10% discount with my code HORNH10 too!

Blouse: Primark / Skirt: West One / Socks: Primark / Shoes: Forever21 /

Bag: New Look / Acc: Primark & Pixie Bunny

My mood instantly improved as soon as I saw my friends! I soon forgot how crap I looked and just couldn’t stop talking as we had a lot to catch up on. It was only me and Emmie at first so we just wandered around Chinatown and drank Bubble Tea – I got Mango Fruit Tea – before we were joined by Emilie! I missed them so much. It had been almost over a year since I saw Emmie, and two years since I saw Emilie! How crazy is that?

We headed off to Misato (?) for some cheap yet incredibly gorgeous food. It was the place where Pixie took me last time but I couldn’t remember the name! It was so filling though as the portions were huge!

Then it was time to go to the park where we actually spent most of the day. Even though it was really cloudy it was getting pretty humid – typical city weather – and I had so much fun! It was really nice to just chill and chat.

We saw this policeman statue thing on our way there… I just had to
Slyly taking photos hur hur

Our picnic food!

At one point we got onto the topic of ghosts and I told them about when I was mindlessly scrolling through Tumblr and happened to stumble upon that horrible picture from Insidious. Now I’m not going to post that picture but me and Emilie tried to replicate it ;D

Later on we were joined by Yamii! 😀 Emilie tried to teach her how to act like a thug hahahaha.

That was basically all we did for the rest of the day, and before I knew it it was 10pm and I really needed to head home as I was exhausted (but in a good way).

I hope you have a really good rest of the weekend!

Leaving Agejo Gyaru? New Adventures!

Hey guys! How’s it going?

You may have been wondering why I haven’t worn agejo lately… In truth, it’s because I’ve gone completely off it. It’s really sad because I’ve spent so much money on gorgeous MA*RS items and now I can’t even think about wearing them anymore ;_; They’re just hanging uselessly in my wardrobe. I just wore agejo so much that I felt tired of wearing it, and it’s hard to create different outfits of the same item. I know that I do have a lot – and I mean a lot – of MA*RS to wear but everything just looked so similar so it didn’t really feel like it.

I’m not too sure what to do about it so for now I’m just going to leave it. I don’t think I can bear selling anything, but who knows?

Right now my heart has been captured by hime kaji and equally cute styles. I’m starting to love hime gyaru again, but I don’t think I can go as far as wearing lots of La Pafait or Jesus Diamante. I’ve gathered lots of inspirational pictures on my tumblr but it’s hard to do it without having any hime kaji/gyaru items! However, I’ve told myself not to spend too much on it otherwise it’ll just be like agejo and MA*RS all over again, and I don’t think my bank I can handle it.

But it’s been hard not to scroll through sites and drool over any hime-inspired items, so I thought that the best way to help me out is to create a wishlist! 😀

Sweet Bow Summer Dress / Sweet Chiffon V-Neck High-Waisted Dress / Princess Style Heels / Light Pink Bling Bow Necklace / Hime Dream Bows on Hair Clip / Sweet Denim Lace Playsuit / Lacy Kitty – Pink / Strap Skirt / Sweet Doll-Collar Blouse /

I actually tried out hime kaji a couple of times before reaching this decision~ Here are my latest hime
kaji looks! What do you think?

However, I find that hime kaji can look a bit boring sometimes so I’m going to use the same method as I did for agejo and make it dramatic! Big hair and bold eye makeup! I might even mix it with some elements of agejo like stockings and lots of bling… I could perhaps mix in hime gyaru too >_> I collected some images for inspiration.

… So maybe there are quite a lot of hime gyaru influences

I don’t know where exactly this will take me but I’m excited; I’ve gone back to my roots and my old interests, and it’s turning out to be a new adventure <3

Hope you guys have a lovely rest of the weekend~

Can I Be Gyaru If…?

Recently I’ve noticed that those new to the wonderful world of gyaru are forever asking questions like, “Can I still be gyaru if I can’t wear circle lens?” or “Can I be gyaru with [x] colour hair?” Because of this, I have decided to create a big post on the most popular questions asked in our community.

Kogal at MCM!

Wow, what a week! I finally finished uni and I feel so free and now I feel like doing some cartwheels and leaping through the air. If only I wasn’t so lazy; I’ll just eat some ice cream instead.

I thought it was time to actually get out the house for a bit and went with my boyfriend to MCM Expo! I really wanted to make an effort and even though I didn’t have a cosplay outfit I did manage to purchase this gorgeous dolly pink seifuku from Pixie Bunny. I cannot express how much I love this set! It made me feel all girly and cute.

This was my first time wearing a seifuku so I just had to go with the kogal theme. I spent ages thinking about what hairstyle to do and I didn’t actually decide on everything (makeup, hair etc) until the day. I am so unorganised! I’ll do better next time.

I decided to go with a mixture of sweet/dramatic and thought that my new My Melody bag went so well with it! I really like doing the “sweet” stuff but keeping my eye makeup really dramatic… Maybe I should do it more often?

Once I was finally ready I hopped off to London to Expo with my boyfriend! I was actually bursting with excitement because I was able to meet my friends who I haven’t seen in ages. I hadn’t been wearing gal makeup that much so I guess being able to fully doll up made me feel good too.

Was getting way too excited…
Me & my honey <3333333

Unfortunately I didn’t recognise a lot of the cosplayers there but they were still amazing and I managed to take snaps of my favourite ones! Warning: took quite a fair amount of photos.

Jasmine & Aladdin
Belle – Superdebz Cosplay
Cersei Lannister
Think this might be Harley Quinn?
Haku!
Iron Man – Wheels of Steel

By far one of the best cosplays I’ve ever seen, hands down. Just look at how much attention has been paid to the wheelchair!

Maleficent
SAAAAAAAM!
Sauron! The shoes kind of ruined it though, but he was still pretty cool
Wasn’t too sure who they were cosplaying but they were adorable!
And the girl on the left looked like Pixie tehehehe
Khaleesi!
Yay another person in a seifuku!

After my round of stalking taking photos of amazing cosplays I went off to hunt down my friends and attack them with hugs (tehehe). Uni had taken over my social life so I was so happy to see them all <3

Charli, me & Marie
Charli, Yamii & I
Me & Charli bby! Love this girly <3
Rosanna & Wai-yi of Dreamy Bows!
Laurenn~ I loved her hair accessories
Letitia~
Paulina! She was adorable!
Jojo! This was my first time meeting her, she is so cute
Jessica looking as fabulous as ever. Wish I could pull off “dark” looks ;_;
PIXIE BBY <3

I actually got really drowsy after a while so I didn’t really do much at expo apart from chatting to my friends and then buying some cute stuff (whilst stuffing my face with Japanese sweets). However we did out for dinner after Expo closed with my bby Pixie & her friends and ate gorgeous Korean food! Unfortunately me & my honey had to head home shortly afterwards to catch our train but I still enjoyed myself <3 I miss her so much!

I guess that’s all for now! Sorry I didn’t write much, I’m a bit of a zombie at the moment haha. Hope you have a lovely rest of the weekend! 😀

Lizzie Bee xx

P.S. If anyone knows the people behind the cosplays & of their Facebook page, website etc, please let me know!

P.P.S I noticed that disqus is being a douche so if it doesn’t load, just refresh the page and it should work!

Gal Blogging is Dead; Long Live Gal Blogging!

I first got into gal/gyaru through blogging on livejournal before taking blogging seriously and migrating to Blogger. I started off just posting some outfit and makeup shots and people would give me advice on my blog on how I could improve…

Three years later I’m still blogging but there seems to be a huge drop in the gaijin gal blogging “market”, as it were. It seems that more and more people prefer posting on other social networks such as Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr, and I can count all of the active bloggers (that I know of) on one hand. There used to be tons of gaijin gal blogs! Reading and commenting on other gal’s blogs was the only way I could communicate with them, and it was fun!

It’s quite sad to see that gal blogging has been diminishing and it’s because I love reading blogs. I feel that there’s a lot more to blogs than just flicking through someone’s photos on Facebook. Sure, it takes more time to write a post than to upload a few pictures and #hashtag like crazy, but to me it’s just nice to read what was on someone’s mind or what their day was like.

Then again, it’s just so much easier to “like” or comment on someone’s photo than to read a blog post. You don’t have to know the details; if you like the photo then you “like” it, and if you had more time you posted a comment. Simple as. You don’t have to scroll through your blog feed to then read a whole post of what so-and-so did on so-and-so day. You just look at their photos and reblog, like, comment, etc.

I feel that this lacks that kind of “connection”. It’s quite hard to explain but I just find the whole process of actually reading blogs more interesting. I don’t really like adding people I don’t know on Facebook so blogging is a nice way to meet new people without them having to know every personal thing about you. You just post what you want the public to see.

But what can we do about it? Like I said there are a few people left who still blog, and I’m definitely sticking around so don’t think you can get rid of me that easily (hahaha). I was tempted to start vlogging but blogging is really where my heart lies.

I wish there were more people who continued blogging and bring their own flavour to the gal style. I guess that’s why I love reading gal blogs like Sakurina‘s and Chie’s because they updates theirs so regularly, even if it’s just an outfit post or of their recent buys. If only I could blog as regularly as I used to! Fingers crossed that I have more time for this blog after uni.

So what d’ya think? Please leave a comment below, I would love to hear your views on this!

Easter Meetup!

purikura, gyaru, gaijin gyaru

Hey everyone! How’s your Easter been so far? I’m absolutely loving mine; I’m currently stuffing my face with my Malteaser Easter egg and it’s so divine. I can actually eat as much chocolate as I want without feeling overly guilty about it because everyone else is doing the same not that I don’t stuff myself with chocolate on other days.

Speaking of Easter… I was off to London again last weekend to meet a few of my friends for the Easter gyaru meet! There were only four of us but I still had lots of fun nonetheless. It was actually really well-timed as I’ve been under a lot of stress because of uni work so I really needed an excuse to get dolled up and go out.

I went for a more himekaji look this time which was really refreshing and brought back memories of when I first got interested in gal. Himekaji was what made me get into the fashion and I used to always want to look like the models of Liz Lisa… But then I changed and tried out all of the other styles so now I’m back to the very beginning.

Thank goodness it was sunny that day otherwise this whole look would’ve gone down the drain! It being sunny really improved my mood so as soon as I stepped out of the house I was already feeling good. After I met up with Chewiee and Kei we headed off to Suki, a Japanese restaurant, for some food. I was absolutely starving at this point so I ate quite a lot haha. Unfortunately I did start to feel a little queasy (and I later figured out when I got home that I had food poisoning, joy). We then went to take some purikura which made me forget about how queasy I felt and I just let myself go and we did lots of silly poses (shown at the top of this post). I can’t really remember the last time I took purikura but I think it was in January when I met up with Chewiee. We had lots of fun and just went crazy! Kuri joined us later on so we had to take more purikura with her! Gosh I need to take some more the next time I go to London.

I think this purikura kind of unleashed our crazy side because then we took quite a few horrifying selfies… And Kei recorded a video but I didn’t know she was videoing hahaha. I’ll let the photos explain what happened for the rest of the meet 😀

After that I had to head home as I was super tired and had to go to work the next morning. I had so much fun hanging out with these girlies… Can’t believe I ate so much (and took many crazy photos).

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and rest of the Easter break! Eat all of the chocolate!

My Valentine

Hey! How are you? Did you have a good week?

I mentioned in my last post that I took a much-deserved break from uni which was a nice change since I’ve been spending so much time studying around Christmas. As I reward I treated myself to quite a fair amount this month to last me until summer so yeah, I’m feeling very positive at the moment (and stupid for spending money when I shouldn’t). I posted a picture of my haul on my facebook page.

I admit that I felt pretty lonely on Valentines Day because I wasn’t able to spend it with my boyfriend but we arranged to spend a whole day together when I was visiting my home town. This was what I wore: a MA*RS hoodie paired with New Look jeans, and some heels from Dorothy Perkins. I wear these heels all of the time when I go out because they are at the perfect height for me (as I’ve got awkward feet). I wore my GOLDS Infinity top underneath but zipped my hoodie up so that I had a day and a night outfit! The hoodie was super cozy in this chilly winter that Britain seems to be trapped in so I can definitely see myself hibernating in it until summer.

I was going to leave my blog at that but then I realised… Wait, this isn’t like me… I normally talk quite a lot! So on with the rambling!

Our “Valentines” date was absolutely lovely, I had such a good time. I must admit that I did feel like Barbie when I trotted into Chiquitos – a near Mexican Restaurant that opened up in town – because everyone else was wearing jeans and t-shirts and then there’s me with my extremely pink, fluffy hoodie with cat ears and heels. Whoops. Oh well, my motto is that it’s better to be too glamorous than a slob (hahaha).

I don’t know what that black dot on my eye is but check out my new hat! Hahaha
Me & the boyf as we wait for our food!

I wish I did like Mexican food, I really do, but I felt that there was an overpowering amount of cheese in my dishes. At least I tried it though! Besides, it might’ve been my dishes rather than Mexican food as a whole… I’ll show you what I ordered anyway.

Deep-friend potato skins filled with cheese, salsa and sweetcorn
Tacos!
Chicken wrap filled with Mexican rice, lettuce, cheese and this sauce I can’t remember
Churros

Right I can tell that you’re almost drooling onto your lap so I’ll take it as my cue to leave. Until next time! I hope you all have a lovely rest of the weekend xx
