Gal-o-meter!

hello

Hey cutie, how are you? ♡ Today I want to introduce you to the “gal-o-meter!” This is to help newbies in particular to create a bit of balance as gyaru is about the overall look rather than just one aspect. It was an idea created originally by Hannah (rosequartzroyalty) that Chris then adapted to use for gyaru, and then Sei created this lil’ graphic for us to use!

This is a brief summary to help explain the concept to you which I grabbed from Sei:

This chart depicts all the key points in gyaru styling. When you tone down on one point, it’s important to increase the intensity in another area to maintain balance and keep your overall look recognisably gyaru. Depending on your target style, some elements may be lessened in preference for others (e.g. having a tan is less important in Hime).

Rokku wardrobe ★☆

Hey cutie! How are you? ♡ Today I went through my wardrobe to find the items that would fit into rokku. In the past I would wear rokku for the whole of October (or spooky clothes in general) but over the last year or two I’ve lost interest… This year, however, I’m going to do it again! I won’t be wearing makeup every day but I do aim to wear spooky clothing tehe. I’m so excited! To make things easier I decided to write this rokku wardrobe post. Okay, let’s go!

Birthday Weekend ♡ Day Three!

Posted on

I finally have the chance to sit down and quickly write about the last day of my birthday weekend (because yes I’m writing this during my lunch break haha ww)

Started the day by having a very big breakfast at one of our local cafes! I have no decided that I love fried bread *3* so unhealthy but so tasty.

Then I got ready and put together a cute and casual hello kitty x my melody coord, wearing one of my new tops I got from my birthday *//* I originally wanted to do a hime gal coord but I was only going to go bowling and I thought this outfit was more suitable for that!

Birthday weekend ♡ Day two!

So day two of my birthday weekend was… Interesting. Some things didn’t really go to plan but I tried my best to focus on the positives and ended up having a lovely time with my family (*¯︶¯*)

We started the morning with my husband bringing me a cup of tea in bed and I opened some of my presents (I’m going to do a separate post about my birthday presents!). I got so many hello kitty items which made me really happy (*♡∀♡)

I then went out for a short walk with my mum before it started to rain, wearing one of my new hello kitty t-shirts that I got from my mother-in-law! It’s so cute I love it so much (♡˙︶˙♡)

Birthday Weekend ♡ Day One!

Hey cutie ♡ how are you? It is currently day two of my birthday weekend but I’m having a very lazy morning so decided I would write up about yesterday (♡˙︶˙♡)

I had to wake up early because for some reason I decided it was a good idea to book my nail appointment at 9am lol. I wore my Tralala romper and put a sunflower in my hair because it was really windy and rainy outside so I wanted to add a little bit of sunshine to my day (♡˙︶˙♡)

Hime Co*De + my friend’s wedding!

good morning

Hey cutie! How are you? ♡ On Thursday I went to my friend’s wedding and oh my gosh the place was absolutely beautiful (♡°▽°♡) We were super lucky as well because we’ve been having heavy rain and thunderstorms over the past couple of weeks, but on Thursday the sun was shining and it was quite warm!

I woke up nice and early because I was kind of stressed about my hair… I really wanted to wear one of my new wigs but I still needed a lot of practise! In the end I just wore one of my rope wigs. And did overnight curls for the rest of my hair.

However, we wanted to get a big breakfast before the wedding so I didn’t really want to get into my dress until the very last minute, so I went to the restaurant looking like this haha.

Playing around with my hime wigs ♡

Hey cutie! How are you? ♡ These past couple of weeks have been super busy but now I finally have the time to write a blog post and hopefully read some gal blogs that I’ve neglected (ಡ‸ಡ) I’ve received a couple of wigs and hair extensions through the post so wanted to have a play around and experiment with different hime hairstyles before doing “the real deal”. I’m not very good when it comes to hair so I need to practise beforehand otherwise I’d have a meltdown haha.

The first thing to arrive was my hair bump and… oh my gosh it’s SO TINY (; ̄Д ̄) I feel like it’s maybe better for the very front of your hair or your fringe/bangs but I want the massive beehive look so that’s not going to work… I didn’t even bother taking any pictures with this as I could just tell that it’s not going to work.

Recent Co*Des + Weekend Events!

Hey cutie! How are you? ♡ I’ve had such a busy weekend so I’ve got a lot to share with you that I thought I’d share all in one post! I’m very tired though so I probably won’t write a lot (I’m actually falling asleep as I write this haha) but I’ll share some pics with you anyways (♡°▽°♡)

♡ Friday – cocktail party ♡

On Friday night I went out for Isobel’s birthday cocktails! I was quite nervous because it was the first Friday that lockdown restrictions have been lifted, but luckily Isobel had booked a table at the Cosy Club so we had our own little space. After a cocktail and some food we headed to Slug and Lettuce for some drinks! I had… I think it was maybe 4 shots and 1 jagerbomb so I was preeeeetty tipsy haha.

Today’s hime gyaru co☆de

hello

Hey cutie ♡ How are you? Good news – my hubby tested negative! (⁀ᗢ⁀) I was so relieved to hear the results but he will still have to isolate for another 6 days. I am allowed to go outside, but I decided to just spend the weekend at home just in case (plus I already had cancelled my plans so….).

I wasn’t originally going to dress up but after speaking to manager-san (aka Darla lol) I felt super inspired to do hime gyaru and film my hime haul (╯✧▽✧)╯

Mini DIY ♡ Hime Gal Shoes

Hey cutie! How are you? ♡ lol sorry about the double-posting but I just did a mini gyaru DIY! As you know, I’m on the journey to do hime gyaru more often (dw I am still doing himekaji) so I bought some cute bows to attach to my plain shoes to give them a bit more oomph, and they finally arrived today!

I tried this out on both my white heels and my flat shoes.
