Dollar, Dollar, Bill

casual gaijin gyaru

Is it just me or has the whole clock-going-forward thing really set you in a good mood? It has for me, as it’s a reminder that spring is creeping closer. I am so happy that I no longer have to wear long boring coats and 10000000x sweaters.

I’ve been really digging statement t-shirts this spring which is really weird because I used to think that they were ever so boring and unoriginal, but this dollar t-shirt really got me into them. I’ve got about three of such t-shirts now and I keep flicking between them but today I’m wearing this dollar one with my gorgeous high-waisted shorts that only Miss Selfridge can do.

The Leopard Dress

Hey guys! How are you?

I don’t know about you but I’m exhausted; it’s not that I’ve been doing a lot of work in the past week but because I decided to do all of that work in one night. Last night, actually, and it was probably one of the stupidest things I’ve done.

It’s sad that now that I’m back working and doing heaps of uni work that I’m really looking forward to my next break. I’ve got a party to go to sometime in March so I’ve been digging through my wardrobe and found this leopard print dress. I haven’t actually worn it before which is crazy because it’s gorgeous.

I paired this dress with some heels that my sister bought for me from New Look – something else I’ve not yet worn because of this stupid weather – and some gold jewellery (you can get similar boots here). I think I might just wear this for the party! The dress is made from a sort-of sweater/jumper material so I don’t really need to wear anything extra, especially because it’s got long sleeves. I probably would wear tights though in the evening just in case…

Dress: Persunmall / Shoe Boots: (similar) New Look / Bag: Clarks / Jewellery: Muse

I think I’ve fallen in love with this dress. It’s definitely going to keep me warm, and because of the design at the front and back it gives me the illusion of having lovely curves! I’m really skinny so finding something that makes me look like I have curves is pretty difficult.

The only thing I would say about this dress is that it’s a tiny bit too short, so I’d definitely recommend wearing shorts underneath just in case!

So what do you normally wear on nights out? I’m still trying to think of other possibilities, but I’m not too sure whether I’d wear any brands (like MA*RS) when going out drinking.

Before I go: thank you very much to those who took part in my poll! The results were quite interesting and it seems that people still want to see more outfit & makeup posts. I guess that this post is the first of many in future!

Anyway, that’s all for now. I hope you have a good rest of the weekend! xx

Lizzie Bee

Many thanks to Persunmall for sponsoring me with this dress!

Review: Agejo Nails by 8th Sin Creations

Not too sure if you noticed but in my last post I was wearing some pretty false nails! It was my first time wearing nails properly, and wow the amount of things that I couldn’t do like getting money of my purse was endless! I got used to it at the end of the day, and they were so pretty that I refused to take them off until the day was over.

These babies were done by Laura of 8th Sin Creations. I was basically looking around for someone to design me a set of nails for my outfit for expo, and she was recommended to me. I’m happy to say that it was successful because she always kept me updated on my process and produced the most beautiful nail designs I could ever want! It wasn’t too overloaded with gems which was great, because I’d feel so bad if they all fell off haha.

They didn’t take too long to do at all as I received them well before the event, and I was dying to try them out as soon as possible but I knew I wouldn’t be able to do any uni work with them on!

They’re so sparkly and beautiful and *flails*

Here’s a video from my Instagram of the nails and the box they came in!

I hope the video works okay! First time embedding one on here…

Unfortunately some of the roses fell off afterwards but that was to be expected! All of the other gems were fixed nicely.

These nails were absolutely perfect for the event! Laura is great at making them and is full of ideas, as she provided me several sketches to choose from. She makes them nice and quickly too, for a really good price. I’d totally recommend her.

Review: Luminous Change Lower Lashes

Remember a few posts back when I went to MCM Expo in London? Well I purchased a set of lashes from the lovely Tania of Pixie Bunny that I had been eying up for a while and promised that I’d do a review for her so… Here it is!

Before I go onto the review I would like to give you a little introduction of Pixie Bunny. As I have already said, it’s owned by the lovely Tania (who has a blog here) and she sells a variety of products such as tights, bags, makeup, jewellery and – wait for it – false lashes!

Me & Tania at MCM Expo!

Anyway, the lashes I purchased were Luminous Change Lower Lashes. I’ve been searching for some lashes that were a cross between Princess Eye and Baby Eye (both by Diamond Lash) so when I clapped my eyes onto these babies I knew I had to get them.

Now I can’t really judge on how well her postage was (i.e. how everything was kept in a box etc etc) as I had bought them from her stall, but she did pop it into a really cute pink bag alongside a sticker! So I guess I can give her a booming 5 stars because she didn’t just stick it any old paper bag.

So, packaging

Okay so now it’s actually talking about how they felt when I wore them. When I peeled them off from the container I realised that they were actually longer than they first appeared, which is definitely a good thing because I was worried that these lashes would just disappear on camera. So I put them on and-

Well, all I can say is, do not underestimate their length.

Close up
Close up of both eyes

They were perfect length and design-wise! I fell in love and was literally babbling away to Tania on Facebook on how much I loved them. Another reason to show just how good they were was that today was supposed to be an extremely lazy day in a hoody, but… I dolled up! And it was all down to the lashes!

Later on I did realise that they kinda’ went upwards, if that makes sense? I think this is a both good and bad thing; good because it means they don’t look too dramatic, but bad because they might not look dramatic enough for heavy makeup. Won’t know until you try though I guess!

Appearance

Usability wise… They are pretty easy to use! The only thing I could say is that the lash line is quite thin but it doesn’t look as fragile as Princess Eye by Diamond Lash… However, I’d still be extra careful with them when taking them off just in case.
Because of the thin, transparent lash line I found them really easy to adjust so that they curved nicely beneath my lower (natural) lash line.

Usability

Overall

I will give them an overall mark of 5 stars because they are one of the most beautiful lower lashes I’ve ever seen, coming up close behind (ooer) Baby Eye by Diamond Lash, and you know how much I love those lashes…

I guess that’s all for now! Now why not be a good ol’ chap and hop over to Pixie Bunny to purchase these gorgeous babies for yourself ;D

Will most likely make a post of my make and outfit etc next week ^^ Ta ta for now~

Sponsored Review: Chan Mei Eyelashes

Please note that although this is a sponsored review, the thoughts and opinions stated are 100% my own.

Managed to find some spare time to quickly right up my post so that it’s all ready to be published on Sunday.
That’s the beauty of scheduled posts; I can write it at any time that I have spare and I don’t need to actually publish it until later, which gives me plenty of time to review it and make sure that there aren’t any silly mistakes or missing photos. Pretty neat, huh?

Anyway today is on a lash review sponsored by the lovely KKCentreHK!

Let’s do the packaging and postage rating first:

Yes, they get full stars for this. KKCentreHK are extremely reliable and they always package things really well as nothing I receive from them ever gets damaged! So amazing.

And voila, here are the lashes. These beauties are called Chan Mei and are part of the M-Series.  They have a really strong structure which has good and bad points; good, because it means that you’ll definitely be able to wear it once, but bad because it’s very hard to bend it go with your eye shape. Took me quite a few times of bending it before I finally managed to get it right.

Usability:

And wow I was taken by surprise at how dramatic they are! I mean, I knew they were dramatic but not that dramatic. Just goes to show that it isn’t only Japanese brand lashes that would go well with gal.

So that’s a definite full stars for appearance!

Here is what these babies look like from the front (cut off the rest of my face because it wasn’t looking that great ahahaha).

Overall:

I love love love these lashes. The only downside is how rigid they are so it’s a bit annoying to put on, but they are totally worth it!

To buy these beautiful lashes please click hereThey have tons of other lash designs and also sell some accessories like half wigs, hair extensions etc.

You can also get 10% discount with my code: mysticthorn

Sponsored Review: Hime Castle

After many months of debate I have finally decided that I’m going to post once a week, every Sunday! So now y’all have a day to look forward to reading my blog ;D

Please note that although this is a sponsored post, all of my thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

Moving on, this post is sponsored by Hime Castle! They had emailed me asking if I was interested in a sponsorship, and I – of course – accepted. I had been eyeing their shop for quite a while and was really intrigued on their services and products!

I was quite surprised when I received their package, as I didn’t know what they were going to send me! Was it going to be clothing, cosmetics, a wig… I was so excited but I took care when opening it.

Packaging ★★★★★

The item came in a sort of bag which (in my personal opinion) is a lot better as they fit much better in my letterbox. There was a cute little card alongside the item as well.

I just love how elegant the type is!

AND IT WAS A CUTE DRESS!

I didn’t put it on until much later because I wanted to prepare my coord to make it look as pretty as possible. My initial thought to when I wore it was WHAT IS THAT COLDNESS ON MY BACK OMAGAAAAH IT’S SO COLD but then I realised it was actually the chain. Whoops. I made sure not to move that much until the chain got “warmer” and afterwards it was fine.

Design ★★★★

I love love love it! It’s so pretty and sparkly, but the only thing I would say is that the sleeves were a bit short as they past my wrists a little bit. Other than that the sizing was fine.

The chain was actually a pretty awesome addition to the design because it gave it a bit more oomph. I haven’t really seen any clothes with this sort of attachment to the back so it was pretty new to me!

Now let’s take a lookie at the detailing on the front.

I really like how sparkly it is as it really does reflect the whole disco thing. The size of the type is pretty in your face as well so that the dress doesn’t look too plain! I absolutely love it. The English is pretty good too ;D Was expecting some type errors or Engrish lol.

Overall ★★★★★

I really liked this top! Hime Castle were ever so cute on the communication part, so I would recommend them.

One last photo of me! Sorry for the bad lighting and un-styled hair

If you would like to purchase any of their fabulous products – they do wigs, stuff from Yumentebo, MA*RS and other pretty things! – then please visit their website here

Sponsored Review: MI Magic Blue Black Toric Lenses

Please note that although this is a sponsored review, the thoughts and opinions stated are 100% my own.

So I recieved another sponsored post, but this time by dbeautyshop who gave me some toric lens! Now I know how hard it is to get toric lens for people – like me – who have astigmatism, so I really hope that this would be helpful for you!

Now the lens in question areMI Magic Blue Black Toric Lenses ! Here’s what they had to say about these lens:

When you put on these Magic Blue Black lenses, you keep people guessing about what shade your eyes really are. On normal daylight it’s just like ordinary black eyes, but when bright light hits it, hints of blue show through. So are you blue eyed or black eyed? You don’t have to reveal that it’s both, thanks to these Magic Blue Black Toric lenses.

Blue-black eyes are the perfect enhancement to an intense stare which people would be naturally drawn. It would be hard not to command attention and respect when you’re sporting these ambiguous lenses.”

Communication

I really like how they described these lens, because that’s what made me want to purchase them! Although they did have some troubles at first with affliating problems, but when I got my reply my product was delivered in just a matter of weeks! I think it actually only took two weeks to deliver in the end. So I’m going to give them 3 stars simply because of how long it took for them to sort out everything, but also how quick they were in sending the products out! They dealt with the problem sufficiently.

Postage and Packaging

Everything arrived in mint condition and very quickly! I also received a lens case for the lens – this is so helpful – and some leaflets. Everything was wrapped in layers of polystyrene to ensure the security of the packaging; I was impressed.

decided to put them all together to make it easier for you to compare!

Design

I have to say that I really liked the design, but as soon as I put the lens on… I couldn’t see the blue at all. It just made my eyes look black unless I had flash on or was in really really bright light. Nevertheless it is exactly what their description states; that only in certain lights you could see the lens, which adds to the mysterious feel of them.

Comfort ★1/2

My eyes were slightly irritated when I put them on, but after a couple of minutes they felt a lot better and I couldn’t even feel them by the end of the day!

Overall

Overall I would give them 3 stars, simply because of the fact I was expecting the lens to be bluer. I loved the way they packed everything, and how they always communicated, so it’s only the colour that let the rate down. Nevertheless I would definitely order from them again as they were one of the most comfortable lens I ever wore!

To purchase these lenses click here! Or you could even just visit their website where they have plenty, and I mean plenty, of designs for you! Prices are very reasonable, and they make sure that everything is in mint condition!

Sponsored Review: After-Bright Long Luxuriant Eyelashes

Please note that although this is a sponsored review, the thoughts and opinions stated are 100% my own.

I’ve been sponsored again by the company KKCenterHK for this product (After-Bright Long Luxuriant Eyelashes) which contained ten pairs of these wonderful lashes.

Because I have reviewed them before (click here to see that post) I shall skip the communication and packaging part as they are the same; their communication was wonderful and the lashes were sent to me almost immediately in a short amount of time. I am very impressed by their service!

One thing I must say is that their packaging was definitely better than last time as the box was much stronger and didn’t have any creases or bends in it so that the lashes remained perfect.

Appearance

This is what they wrote about the lashes:

Luxuriant Front Short – Long tail Design

Inner Part Of The Eyelash  :Around 0.6 cm

Middle Part Of The Eyelash :Around 1.5 cm

Outer Part Of The Eyelash : Around 0.6 cm

Materials : nylons artificial fibers

100% Handmade and Authentic

As you can see they’re very informative about their products, and very accurate! I found that I could get away with wearing these lashes without lowers which is strange as I never wore my uppers without lowers since… Well, a long time ago.

The stem was pretty thick this time and maintained it’s curved shape. I found this to be interesting because lashes normally do lose their shape so it was harder to put on then usual as it didn’t allow me to bend it even further. I am however impressed by how strong it is! I could definitely wear these over and over.

Usability

I can see myself wearing these lashes for normal day-to-day use like for when I go to uni without having to worry about breaking them. Woop woop!

Overall

I’m going to give them five stars overall because I loved the design and their communication was top notch. The only little downside is that I can’t really bend it a lot but seeing as it’s already bent to fit the eye shape I’m not going to complain that much!

To purchase some of these pretty lashes click here ! They have tons of other lash designs and also sell some accessories like half wigs, hair extensions etc.

Sponsored Review: Toric Magic Gray Black

Please note that although this is a sponsored review, the thoughts and opinions stated are 100% my own.

I received my pair of circle lenses sponsored by e-circlelens ! I was really happy that they did astigmatism lenses, as I couldn’t wear normal ones ;_; The ones I’m reviewing here are the Toric Magic Gray Black and here are the details displayed on their site:

Communication
They always replied to my emails quickly and were able to keep me up-to-date on what was going on, so I’m going to give them 5 stars!

Postage and Packaging
Unlike most circle lens distributors, the lenses arrived in around 2 weeks! Wow o_O I was expecting it to arrive in like at least 2 months, so was very surprised when I got an email from them saying that they had sent the lenses.
The lenses came in a little box, and inside that there were leaflets on how to take care of your lenses, how to put them in, and also some leaflets of their company. The box was filled with these polystyrene tubes to protect the lens, even though the lenses were encased in a polystyrene case and put into a purple bag! They really did think of everything, and I was really pleased with this.
As well as the lenses they provided a little travel lens case! Awesome!

However I was a bit confused because on top of the circle lens bottles they wrote down the power rather than having it typed up… I think this might be to save time and money printing out labels with power, but I’m not too sure. Anyhow nothing was damaged and the lid was really tight (so tight that I had to use scissors to get them off lolololol).

Image of the lens from their website

Appearance
This has to be one of the prettiest lens I’ve ever seen, as they blend so well with my natural colour! Above are pictures of one in, and then both in with no makeup, and then both in with makeup. Even though they’re only 14mm in diameter they make my eyes look huge because of the thick black border. Amazing! I look really doe-eyed when I wear them.

Comfort
I managed to wear these for a whole day without having any problems with dryness! They were a bit dry at first because I haven’t worn circle lens in ages but after five minutes they were fine.

Overall
Overall I was extremely happy with these, and shall definitely buy more of this series! Not only are they Toric lens but they also make my eyes look huge even with a small diameter. They are extremely comfy and nothing was damaged at all. E-circlelens were amazing and provided me with much more than I imagined (like the travelcase) and I was very happy with their communication and postage.

To purchase these lenses click here! Or view their website to see what they have in store for you! They have loads of styles to choose from, and their service is brilliant. I would highly recommend them!

Me with ma’ new lenses ;D

Review – Light Brown Synthetic Wig

This was my first time ever purchasing a wig, and with the help of the lovely Amelie I chose this one in light brown! I was so excited, and a bit nervous too because I was worried on how it would look on me…

Please keep in mind that I’m not wearing makeup for this review because of my eye ;_;

Postage

In the seller’s description it said that it would arrive in at least 11 working days, which would mean that it would’ve arrived on Jan 11th. But it arrived on the 30th December! I was so surprised and happy to receive it so early, so I’m giving him 5/5

Packaging

(I haven’t got a picture of the packaging, sorry ;_;) The wig came in a net bag, which was then in a plastic one, and then in a grey one. Three layers of packaging! It was very sufficient as nothing was damaged. They have even included a little wig cap as well! 5/5

Accuracy

As you can see, in my photo the wig looks slightly more ginger than it does in the photo. However, this might be caused by the lighting, but nevertheless it was only a slight difference. I was worried that the colour wouldn’t suit me at first… I think it’s ’cause I never had light hair before lololol.

Appearance

I fell in love with the curls, as it made me feel so princessy wearing it! >//< I was wary of getting the curls caught in my coat (which they did when I went out to dinner with Stef ;_;) so I guess that the length was a bit of a problem for me… But I still loved the length! The wig was in a beautiful colour, and great condition o_O You wouldn’t be able to tell it was a wig because it was so thick o_O

It looks quite shiny when I use flash. but I guess I could overcome this by patting some powder into it or something~ Looks very “real” in natural lighting though! ^^

Ease of putting on

I found it quite difficult to put on because of it’s length and lack of experience. This was my first time in getting a wig, so I can’t really judge this fairly so I’ll give it a 3/5 as it got easier to put on after a couple of times ^^

Price

ZOMGDJKBGSJIDSFGJB IT WAS AMAZING! Seriously. I got this wig for £7.99! And postage only cost me £4! Amazing.

So I guess that’s it for the review! ^^ Thanks for viewing, and I hope that this is very helpful to you 😀 I’d totally recommend this seller due to brilliant service and quality.

Review – ES A023 lower lashes

I haven’t done a review in ages so today I’ll be reviewing the ES A023 lashes from KKCenterhk.

I’ve heard/seen many people buy lashes from kkcenterhk, mainly due to its cheap prices. These were 10 pairs for the price of $7.78 USD and totally reusable! They remind me of the Dollywink lashes~

I received them exactly 7 working days after I ordered them, quick or what?! I mean, normally when I order things online from places like Hong Kong they take aages… So was pretty pleased with these ^^ Not that I wasn’t impatient waiting for them to arrive lololol, but I was desperate for some lower lashes.

These are currently gonna’ be my everyday lower lashes as they are perfect for the ‘natural’ look, and far better than my old ones lawls 😛 As much as I love my Diamond Lash ones I could finally wear a pair without having to use eyeliner to make it look good lolololol. You could also go for a more dramatic look with these lashes by using eyeliner & eyeshadow too~
Please ignore the crappiness of my eyebrows >_<”

The only problem that I have with these is that the lash band appears to be very thin, so it might be fragile… But they seem strong enough so far! And it makes life easier that they’re clear ’cause then they’ll seem almost invisible on ^^

They even have instructions on the back in different languages on how you can apply them! Pretty cool huh?

Delivery & Packaging

Design

Ease of putting on

Strength

Price

Anyways, I’d totally recommend these to everyone because not only are they cheap but they would last quite a while as well! And it’s so much better buying a pack of ten of these babies than a pack of two of Dollywink~ If you’re interested in these pairs, here’s the link to buy them: ES A023 from KKcenterHK

That’s all for now

♥ False Nails Review ~ Eri ♥

This is not a sponsored review! n_n

This was the first time that I’ve ever purchased false nails, and I have to say that it worked out quite well. I commissioned Eri to do me a set of false nails to match with one of my outfits and she was more than happy to take my offer ^^
C’est le premier temps ce que j’ai des faux ongles, et je dois dire qu’ils sont beaux ! J’ai demandé à Eri de faire mes faux ongles pour que je puisse les habiller avec ma tenue ^^

Came wrapped in a lil’ plastic case inside an envelope ~

Also included a card! ~

And nail glue! n_n

The final result~

Design ♥♥♥♥♥
It took only a couple of hours after seeing my photo for her to draw up some designs onto her computer, and it was so hard for me to choose because I really liked all of them! I finally settled for these pink & black chequered ones because I felt they would go with my outfit best. I was very surprised how quick she managed to draw up some really good designs~

Time taken to do the nails ♥♥♥♥♥
Almost as soon as I decided on the design she worked on the nails, and finished them during the next day! Wow!

Postage ♥♥♥♥♥
Because I had some paypal problems it was just over a week until I received the nails, but she sent the nails the day after she received the payment. I then received the nails 4 days later (because of the bank holiday)

Packaging ♥♥♥♥♥
They were placed in a bubble-wrapped envelope as long as a little plastic case to keep them intact. She was very sweet and included a card and nail glue as well! So cute <3

Sizing ♥♥♥
Okay so there was a slight problem with the width of the nails as some of them were too wide for me. I quickly messaged Eri about this and she suggested filing them down of which I did~ I think they were too wide because I had measured them incorrectly as the pinky, thumb and fourth finger were fine. Unfortunately I only realised this after she made them -_-”

Although there was a slight mishap with the sizing of the nails everything else went perfectly smoothly! I’d definitely recommend her to you all because she charges a very good price as well 🙂 Please contact Eri if you would like to commission her for a set~

♥ Diamond Lash Review ~ Ichibankao ♥

Please note that this isn’t a sponsored review! I bought these lashes for myself from ichibankao.com n_n~

Hey beautiful people! How’re you all?

My lashes from ichibankao arrived on Wednesday! I was so happy to finally receive my first pair of ‘real’ Gyaru lashes, and literally squealed with joy when my boyf handed them over to me <3

So I ordered the Diamond Lash Glamourous Lashes and the Feminine Lash, because I really wanted to see if they would help me with my Gyaru look.

Aanyways, this is what the packaging looked like~
