Lately I have been feeling like this blog came to a standstill; I have been blogging for so long but it feels as if I’m still new to the scene. It was only a year ago that I found out about blogging communities on Twitter and realised how crazy cool everyone was, and how competitive blogging is. Everyone wants to be noticed but why read a blog when you could simply “like” or “share” a photo? Social media has killed the blogging star.
Yet despite all that the community still thrives and has its own little world, and that world is amazing. I get hit by this feeling that I’m not good enough, and worse still, that I’m all alone even when surrounded by people. All of my friends that I knew back when gyaru blogging was at its prime have left because of real life getting in the way.
So why can’t I just move on?
Truth is that I’m stubborn and have gotten way too attached to this little corner of the internet that I can’t seem to let it go. I had plenty of opportunities to ditch this blog but I didn’t. I had faith in this blog and in myself to carry on. I’d post my gyaru adventures for the world to see in the hopes that someone would read it and want to find out more about it.
I didn’t actually think of a reason for staying until after the New Year where I decided to ditch my old URL and change to hello lizzie bee. The old name represented my earlier days of blogging where I first found out about anime, art and Japanese fashion, and I dub it my “n00b” stage. Lizzie Bee is what I became a few years afterwards and I have grown into the name. I’ve created a special connection with it and thus decided it was perfect for my “new” blog. I feel reborn and it’s amazing!
And here we are, under a beautiful new URL, hellolizziebee.com
To celebrate, I have gathered my top blog posts from this blog (some old and some new) according to pageviews, ranking from newest to oldest.

What do you think of my new URL? I’m really excited to see where it leads me and have a bunch of blogging ideas that I can’t wait to post. If there’s anything you’d like me to post on here, or if there is something that I could improve on, please comment below. I’m always looking for ways to be better at blogging so any tips are much appreciated.
Here’s to the future! ♡
