Chasing Cherry Blossoms

Cherry blossoms are my favourite flower; there’s just something so beautiful about their ephemeral state and it was the thing I was looking forward to the most during our stay in Japan. You could imagine my dismay when we arrived and it was too cold for them to bloom… It wasn’t until our very last few days here that they started to blossom, and so we went to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace and it seemed like we weren’t the only ones, however, and soon all of the spots surrounding the trees were taken.

Luckily I learnt from the last time I took outfit photos outdoors that I didn’t have a lot of time, so again we adopted the mindset that we’d take no more than ten photos and then that was it. I put on my newest ma*rs dress on (which I’m in love with, by the way) and couldn’t have picked a better day for it. It was lovely and sunny, and so worth getting hayfever over.

After this and my last outfit post I definitely want to go out of my comfort zone a bit more when taking outfit photos, as I just love how they compliment my outfit! I don’t think I’m confident enough to go out and take them in the middle of the city but parks and the like will work for now, especially as it’s finally getting warmer in the U.K. I just need to get used to the fact that my hair and makeup might not hold for the whole trip but who cares – I’d be having fun!

I’d also like to wear more gyaru brand in future and I’m kicking myself for not buying any more while I was over in Japan… Japanese fashion is just so much more interesting than it is over here, although I will have to do bulk orders to save money on shipping and customs. If only it wasn’t so expensive to buy them, but I suppose that’s what is holding me back from buying everything tehe.

What are your favourite flowers? After cherry blossoms (Sakura) it’s red or pink roses for me.
