Day Out with Amy & Lulu!

I’m so happy that spring is finally here – I haven’t felt so energetic in ages! It’s weird how much a little bit of sunlight could affect my everyday life. Only downside is that my hayfever is slowly creeping forwards, and my eyes have been super itchy for the past week.

I’ve got so many plans for this spring and I can’t wait to get them done and dusted! I celebrated the coming of spring by doing a little retail therapy with my friends Amy & Lulu. It’s been ages since I went and I couldn’t wait to see all of the spring collections. It was the first time I dug out some of my spring wear – yay for warmer weather!

I went for a general cutesy look this time (and now that I think about it, I’ve done this quite a lot recently!) Gyaru kei is just so much easier and cheaper to do, and I’m quite surprised it’s not getting as much attention as it should. Casual clothes + gyaru hair & makeup combo reminds me of what they did in EGG. How I miss that magazine!

I could’ve easily bought so many trays of this gyoza! It was delicious!

We started our shopping spree by heading to this lovely little Japanese restaurant where I had gyoza and chicken katsu curry. Adventurous, I know, but the katsu was too good to miss. Then it was off for some shopping! I was actually really disappointed in what I bought – the main reason was because I was trying not to impulse buy and also the fact that the spring collections over here didn’t catch my eye at all. I did manage to get a super cute unicorn umbrella from New Look & some simple jewellery from Claire’s Accessories (but I stupidly forgot to take a photo of them, d’oh).

The day went so fast and I was starting to get a little tired & frustrated of not having bought anything much, until we bumped into the disney store and I found a Kylo Ren hoodie! I would’ve bought it if it didn’t have this mask attached to the hood… Better luck next time I guess. I did however bump into a stormtrooper.

Then it was time to head home! Shopping is actually quite tiring now that I think about it, I only buy things online now and use shopping day outs as a way to hang out with my friends. Gosh I think I’m getting old!

What do you think of your local shops’ spring collections? Find anything you liked? I’m tempted just to do a Japanese fashion wishlist soon as I’m getting so fed up of what we have in the UK!

That’s all for today, until next Sunday! ♡
