There are times where I wish I could do gyaru at work. The thing is that prioritise sleep over slapping my face on with makeup, which makes those weekends for dolling up even more precious. However I do want to be an everyday gyaru wherever possible so I spent the last few weeks collecting lots of easy hair and makeup tutorials and then I thought… Why not share this collection with my readers?
Below you’ll find a whole set of hair and makeup tutorials that are great for the everyday gyaru/gal! I hope you find them useful!
Easy Hair Tutorials & Ideas
The following hair tutorials were grabbed from several corners of the internet – from old Japanese gyaru magazines, to Pinterest, to tumblr. I’ve put a few links right at the bottom of this post on where I got things from but sometimes it was hard to find the original source.
Aside from that, these hair tutorials range from cute braided hairstyles to super easy updos which work for all substyles of gyaru. I used these a lot when I go to a gyaru meet because I often don’t have enough time to style my hair. I’ve also included some photos of cute hairstyles overall to take inspiration from.
Makeup Tutorials & Ideas
And now onto the makeup! As with the above, these were also gathered from various corners of the internet. Makeup in gyaru is very important but the following shows mainly onee gyaru styles because they’re the best for when you’re at work/uni/somewhere you can’t wear lots of heavy makeup. I’ve done another blog post on some gyaru tutorials created for Western features if you’re interested!
And there we have it! Which tutorial are you going to try next? What’s your go-to gyaru hairstyle?
