Hey honey bunny, it’s me, your gal Lizzie. It’s been a while since I first made my introduction post – over 8 years, I think – so an update has been waaaaay overdue. I mean, sure, I blog a lot and talk about myself quite a bit (especially about my self doubts) but I think it’s time to re-introduce myself to you.
So hey, I’m Lizzie Bee, and I’m a gyaru fashion and lifestyle blogger from the UK.
Yep, I’m still blogging about gyaru.
I didn’t realise how much in love I was with it until I found myself still writing about it, 8 years later. 8 years is a bloody long time but I love every minute of it. Gyaru has changed so much since I started and even though I told myself that I would never tone down, I did. It’s nothing to be sad about though – I’m finally comfortable with my style and I love it. I’m actually in the process of doing a complete wardrobe clear out to invite new pieces in and stop being stuck in the past. It’s tough, but it’s got to be done.
What’s also tough is trying not to eat a Milka & Oreo chocolate bar that’s been sitting on your desk for at least 3 minutes. I just can’t seem to let anything sweet and sugary pass me untouched! I am known as that person that eats their weight in snacks (which is great because it means that people always give me snacks at work), and my food cupboard at home is always full for when we have guests around. I just love snacking! My future self would probably kill me for saying that later on, but for now I’m happy.
I also love naps, have I ever told you that? I usually have a nap on a Sunday and it’s one of the things that I look forward to most on a weekend. People say that a 2-hour long nap is probably too long, and as much as I’d like to disagree I think my grouchy just-woke-up self would say otherwise. Luckily my hubby knows how to deal with me! It comes second to my love for afternoon tea, though, because afternoon tea is my jam and one of my favourites was when I went to Biscuiteers to meet an old uni friend.
Oh yes, that brings me to my next and final thing – I am now married! You know that guy I talked about a few times on this blog? Yep, I’m his wifey for lifey. Gosh that’s such a cringe saying but it’s my favourite, and I love saying it every now and then. Wife. A person with a ring on her fourth finger. I still love looking back at my wedding blog post because it’s one of the best posts I’ve ever written. It has so many happy vibes and I love it.
So, what’s your story?
Love,
Lizzie xx
