Hellooooo February aka the month of luuuuurve. I’m so glad that Valentine’s Day exists because it gives me something to look forward to after the January blues. Everything is decorated in pink and red hearts and I love it! In Japan, “Rabu rabu” roughly translates to “lovey dovey”, and today I’m going to be showing you Japan Candy Box’s “Rabu Rabu” February box as well as what I thought about each product. There’s also a chance for you to win a free box of Japanese candy for yourself! Scroll right down to the bottom to enter, but for now, let’s take a look at what’s in their February box…
What’s in the box?
Kanro Pure Flowery Double Peach Gummies
I was so happy when I opened the box and saw that there was a pack of Kanro Pure, as it is by far my favourite gummy brand. This time they included a flowery double peach flavour and you can definitely get the taste of peach that’s been sprinkled with a bit of sour. It kind of reminds me of Haribo Tangfastics but not as squishy.
Calbee Saya Endo Edamame Snacks
I was a bit sceptical at first as I’m not a huge fan of edamame but I ended up really liking these – so much so that they were one of my favourites! They’re incredibly moreish and are incredibly healthy as they are made from real pieces of edamame that’s been fried and seasoned with a pinch of salt. Maybe this means that I could try out eating edamame again…
Kit Kat Party Ice Cream Chocolate
I loooooved this one; I really missed the lovely KitKat flavours you get in Japan so I was really pleased to have this one in the February box! This particular flavour is party ice cream, and you can taste the vanilla.
Baby Star Ramen Maru Chicken Noodle Snacks
These weren’t as weird as I thought, and you can taste the chicken flavour as soon as you pop one of these into your mouth. I’m not too sure if it is something I’d go out and buy myself, though!
Koikeya Karamucho Hot Chilli Potato Chips
These reminded me of the Tohato Bokun Habanero Chips that I had in their October box, and I loved them! They weren’t as spicy as I thought they’d be which is good for me because I’m not good with spice haha. The only sad thing is that there’s not enough in the packet, and I gobbled them up way too quickly.
Frozen 2 Chocolate Bar
This is very similar to a KitKat in the sense that it’s a wafer biscuit that’s been coated in chocolate. Overall I wasn’t too keen on this as it was kind of bitter.
Eiwa Heart Marshmallows
Aaah these were so yummy! I told myself to only eat a few as I wanted to save them for when I had some hot chocolate later on, and they melted right in my mouth. There’s all sorts of flavours in this pack; strawberry, pineapple and melon!
Maruta Flower-inspired Konpeito
These are so cute and tiny (and very, very sweet)! Apparently they’re a traditional snack that was introduced to Japan by the Portuguese in the early 16th century. So not only have I been eating snacks, but also I’ve been learning a bit about their history, too!
Marukyo Momiji Manjyu
This was a lot sweeter than I expected, and was lovely but a little bit dry. There’s red bean paste in the centre (which I thought was actually chocolate at first) and it is a local speciality from Hiroshima, Japan.
Fujiya Look Strawberry Butter Sandwich Chocolates
So there’s a choice of you eating the two chocolate separately or putting them together like a sandwich, which is exactly what my husband did (because I’m not really a fan of strawberry chocolate). He absolutely loved it! He said it was a really good combination and it’s something he’d buy himself.

This looks absolutely incredible! I don’t know if it’s just because the stuff is different from what we get at home, but this stuff looks way more fun! I’m a huge edamame fan so I’m pretty sure I’d love those snacks x

I bloody love those Kanro Pure Peach Gummies, I couldn’t stop eating them in Japan. I would love to try those chili crisps. oh my gosh those konpeito sweets look exactly like the ones I got from the ‘little edo’ area in Kawagoe, Japan! They are so traditional and lovely! x
