I’m dreaming of a kawaii Christmas… And nothing can get more kawaii than receiving a box of Christmas-themed goodies from Kawaii Box in the run up to the festive season! I’ve done reviews on their previous boxes in the past and have been really satisfied with them so far, so I was really looking forward to receiving their December edition. There’s even a chance for one of my lucky friends (like you!) to win your own Kawaii Box, so scroll to the bottom of the post to enter our giveaway.
But first, let’s take a look at what I’ve received!
Kawaii Box ‘Kawaii Xmas Celebration’
What you get
Alpacasso Plushie (roughly £4) – HOW CUTE IS THIS???? Honestly I almost shrieked with joy. It’s such a cute lil’ accessory, and wouldn’t it look so good as a Christmas decoration? It’s making me want to have a Alpacasso Christmas next year when we’ve repainted the living room because at the moment it’s an awkward coral colour that only goes with gold/beige/brown items…
Mermaid Seashell Coin Purse (£3.90) – I can’t get enough of purses, and they’re my second favourite accessory after phone cases and I’m always swapping them out! This mermaid one is giving me serious spring vibes, and I can’t wait to use it for warmer days (plus, wouldn’t it look so cute with a pastel mermaid outfit?)
Sanrio Character Cleaning Cloth (£3.58) – If there’s one downside to Specsaver glasses and having eczema is that my glasses are always dirty. Nasty, I know, and up until now I’ve been using the corner of my sleeve or the bottom of my top to clean them and they always have smudge marks all over them. Having a cleaning cloth is incredibly useful for glasses wearers like me, so I’ll be keeping this in my work bag!
Smiling Christmas Decorations (£7.87 for 12pcs so 66p each) – Another super cute item amongst the super cute items in this box! Gosh just look at their lil’ happy faces!
Nekoni Christmas Stickers (£1.51) – I love using stickers on my packaging, and these will be perfect for jazzing up any Christmas presents as I’m hoping just to use brown paper this year after I found out that you can’t actually recycle Christmas wrapping paper.
Bourbon Tsum Tsum Biscuits (£9.47 for 46pcs so 20p each) – I absolutely LOVED these and wish there were more biscuits in this box, as I ate them in one mouthful. Super yummy and would highly recommend.
Pastel Harajuku Rings Set (£2.31) – These aren’t really my thing, but I have plenty of friends that I know will love this instead.
Christmas Candy Cane Pen (£2.31) – Did you know that Candy Canes originated from Germany more than 250 years ago? The Germans really know how to celebrate Christmas (shout out to them for creating Christmas markets so that I can hang out with my gals in Santa costumes). Aaanyway, this pen is incredibly adorable and I can add it to my cute stationery collection.
Ginbis Christmas Shimi Choco Corn Snacks (£3.02) – These were very strange??? But also nice??? But strange??? Honestly I didn’t know how I felt about these but they’re like white chocolate wafers but softer. My exact words to my friends were, “I have no idea what’s going on in my mouth right now”.
Packaging
I love how each Kawaii Box I receive comes in a cardboard box with all of the items simply covered in tissue paper, reducing the amount of waste overall despite most of the items being wrapped in plastic. I tend to use their boxes for storage later on, but I always have the option to recycle them if I don’t need them.
Is it worth the price?
Price of buying items individually = £22.15
Price of buying a Kawaii Box = £15.84
I would say yes because you do save a little bit of money when you get a box rather than buying everything individually. Subscription-wise, you could choose to either have a one-off box, a 6 months’ subscription or one for 12 months. This is perfect for people like me who only likes to receive one every now and then, although it works out cheaper if you get a longer subscription. Click here if you want to buy your own Kawaii Box!
