Liz Lisa 2011 Summer Collection

Posted on

Hey cutie! How are you? ♡ Today we’re going to be having a look at Liz Lisa’s summer collection of 2011 (thanks to the lovely Olivia for the scans!). This collection is called “French Vacation” and oh my gosh it is super pretty. Without further ado, let’s take a look!

My thoughts on Liz Lisa’s 2011 summer collection…

It’s safe to say that this collection is definitely veering away from the beach theme and focuses more on a summer getaway in the city which is very similar to their 2010 summer collection. This could explain the more muted and ‘pretty’ silhouettes rather than the colourful and wild clothes that they had in their 2008 summer collection. I know, I know, I’m comparing it to the 2008 collection again, but it is really interesting that we haven’t returned to the beach/tropical theme since then. Is this perhaps because we’re moving away from the wild gyaru girls and towards the cute himekaji princesses? This reminds me that I haven’t got the 2009 summer collection, so that might be the missing piece to this puzzle.

Okay but let’s take a closer look at the clothes themselves…

First of all, the maxi dresses. Aren’t they gorgeous?! They had a couple of maxi dresses in their spring collection as well and I’m so happy that this has continued in their summer collection. They’re just so gorgeous and yes, I am biased because I adore maxi dresses as a whole. I also love that there are a few pieces with a darker colour palette because it’s not something that you see a lot in himekaji.

I have to say that my favourite pages are actually the ones with the gal mamas because they still look super gal. And the fact the mother and daughter are wearing matching sets is just so adorable!

What do you think about the Liz Lisa 2011 Summer Collection?
