Moments with Molang

Lockdown is… Kind of lonely. I keep caving in and buying unnecessary things just so that I have something to look forward to, but I really do miss hanging out with my friends. Luckily Molang sent me a lil’ plushie to keep me company, and while it’s not the same as having bubble tea with my favourites, oh my gosh I love it so much! It is so squishy and soft and I haven’t stopped cuddling it since. I decided to do an outfit inspired by this kawaii character (after having so much fun doing a Cinnamoroll-inspired one last year).

Who – or what – is Molang?

Molang is a cute lil’ bunny character originally designed by Korean illustrator Hye-Ji Yoon before being transformed into a French children’s animated series created by Millimages. It has a best friend called Piu Piu, which is an adorable little bird, and they go through everyday life together. I’ve loved Molang for a very long time (often bombarding my work colleagues with Molang gifs) and I’m so glad that they’ve finally made it available to buy from Amazon in the UK! They also have a YouTube channel so you can watch their joyful adventures.

About the Molang inspired outfit

I wanted to go with something really fuzzy and comfortable but then it got super hot over the past few weeks so that was thrown out of the window! Instead I decided to mix together a pink and white coord, and put my hair into pigtails to mimic Molang’s bunny ears (and managed to include my fluffy hair bands). This Liz Lisa skirt has always been an old favourite of mine so it was nice to bring it out again. I also whacked on a load of blusher to match it’s super cute pink cheeks!

I had so much fun doing this Molang inspired outfit… And I can’t wait to do more themed outfits based on kawaii characters! Who would you like to see me try next?

Love,
Lizzie xx
