My himekaji journey ♡ Casual princess style!

Hey cutie ♡ 你好小可爱! How are you? I was flicking through my old blog posts where I was suddenly inspired to write about my himekaji journey! My love for gyaru began when I found out about hime gyaru which eventually led to himekaji, and since then I’ve been dipping in and out of this super cute style. Nowadays, himekaji is my main style, so I thought it’ll be nice to share my development. Okay, let’s go!

♡ 2011 ♡

Let’s jump back to 2011 when I was first getting into gyaru! Himekaji and Popteen-kei were the first styles I tried out, and to be honest… I think I was okay??? I mean my makeup wasn’t great but I think it was a good start in general.

♡ 2013 ♡

I very very briefly did himekaji again but when I say brief, I mean super brief – like, maybe a couple of times at the most haha. However I’ve only been able to find this picture and tbh… It was a cute look!

♡ 2014 ♡

It wasn’t until 2014 that I started wearing himekaji frequently again as my main style after I stopped doing agejo. I didn’t really have a particular era that I followed, I just wanted to look cute and princess-y (tehe). I owned a lot of offbrand items that worked really well, which was good because I was a poor student at this time haha. Later on in the year I started working with Kawaii Gyaru Shop to promote their Liz Lisa items and I was hooked!

♡ 2015 ♡

Himekaji was still one of my main styles in 2015, and I wore more and more Liz Lisa items!

♡ 2016 ♡

2016 was also pretty strong! And again, even more Liz Lisa items tehehe. I did continue to do himekaji from 2016 onwards but wasn’t doing it as much because I started doing agejo again as well as onee styles.

♡ 2018+2019 ♡

Sorry my brain is turning into mush and I’m losing motivation now haha but these were my outfits from 2018-2019!

♡ 2020+2021 ♡

So I’m going to skip right ahead to where I am now! I call myself an old-school himekaji gal as my main era is 2009-2010, so I’m kind of back to wear I started tehe and I’M LOVING IT. I feel like I’ve really found my place again and even though I did like agejo, I feel so much more “me” in this style.

That’s it for my himekaji journey! Sorry it’s quite a short post but… Well, I hope you liked it in any case (´,,•ω•,,)♡

I hope to continuously update this post and maybe turn it into a yearly thing (that’s if I’m still doing himekaji in future).

Speak soon ♡
