One Item Five Ways: Acid-Washed Jeans

Acid-washed jeans are the best things to jazz up a simple outfit; every time I feel like I’m in a slump I just slip on a pair of these babies and it instantly improves my mood. I haven’t been wearing it lately because it’s been unusually hot in the U.K. (the horror) but I just can’t wait for it to get a little cooler so that I can whack them on!

So while I patiently wait for that day to come I have decided that it was time to do another one of my “One Item Five Ways” posts. I really look forward to doing these, and I guess I could class them as a series now! If there’s anything you would like to see me experiment with then please let me know in the comments below.

One Item Five Ways: Acid-Washed Jeans

Rokku Gyaru Vibes

rokku gyaru, acid-washed jeans, jfashion

Jeans: Quiz / Top: Select / Belt: DreamV (or something similar… Can’t remember!) / Boots: Boohoo.com / bag: Topshop

This outfit has some strong rokku gyaru vibes – I actually miss wearing this kind of style so I was pretty excited to put this outfit together! It’s what I used to wear back in the day with a few alterations. I’m so tempted to wear it as soon as it gets a little colder.

Work Work Work Work Work…

Jeans: Quiz / Blouse: Primark / Bag: eBay / Accessories: Claire’s Accessories & Miss Selfridge / Shoes: New Look

This outfit is for those who want to jazz up a simple work/uni/school outfit. You could layer this up for those cold winter days by wearing a vest underneath and a slouchy red jumper – just swap the boots for some brown ones and it’ll be perfect.

Major Fangirling

Jeans: Quiz / Top: unknown / Accessories: Primark / Bag: New Look / Shoes: New Look

Your gal right here is a major fan girl at heart, and I squealed with joy when I got this tshirt for my birthday. Jon Snow (along with Sansa, Tyrion & Daenerys) are my favourite Game of Thrones characters and I couldn’t help including it in a gal coord! I would say that this is leaning more on the gyaru-kei side of gyaru, but adding some skull accessories and the like automatically shifts it into the rokku zone.

Ane Gyaru

ane gyaru outfit

Jeans: Quiz / Top: Select / Accessories: eBay & Primark / Bag: Dorothy Perkins / Heels: Wallis

Back when I was young and carefree I loved doing ane gal (which is strangely better for older gals) and I came up with this coord. Well, it’s been spruced up now and is a classier version of what I had before, and great for spring! It too can be layered up with a vest underneath.

Cute & Flirty

cute outfit, pink

Jeans: Quiz / Top: Missguided / Accessories: Ruby Rose, Dreamy Bows & unknown / Heels: Wallis

You didn’t think you’d get away with me not including a spot of pink did you? Well yep I did, and I’m actually in love with this outfit! It’s really simple and cute which is kind of weird because you usually see very grunge outfits with acid-washed jeans.

That’s all for today! I guess I’ll just go and –

Oh wait, I had another outfit in mind.

Ora ora!

oraora, gyaru, ane gyaru

Jeans: Quiz / Top: Primark / Cap: New Look / Necklace: Miss Selfridge / Belt: DreamV / Shoes: New Look / Bag: eBay

I couldn’t not include this one because it reminds me of the (limited) days when I loved oraora. I’m amazed I still have that tshirt & that cap – I ditched that substyle long ago, but maybe now I have the chance to try it out again if I wanted to.

There isn’t really a limit to what you can do with acid-washed jeans (just like any jeans really) and I would’ve created more outfits if I could but I might save that for another post… Which one was your favourite? I’m torn between “rokku gyaru vibes” and “cute & flirty”!

Until next Sunday ♡
