JEWEL’s First Gyaru Meet!

Hey everyone! How have you been this week? Done anything exciting?

Last weekend we had our first JEWEL gyaru meet! ꒰ෆ❛ั ु▿❛ั ु꒱ JEWEL【ジュエル】is a UK gyaru unit, and so it was very exciting for us! It was formed by me and my friends Chewiee, Emmie, Marie, Emilie & Kei as we want to revive the gal community in the UK and spread the word! It’s still in its initial stages, but we have big plans for it. Fingers crossed that it goes smoothly!

I wasn’t feeling very well this day, but seeing everyone made me really happy (♡ॢ˃̶̤̀◡˂̶̤́♡ॢ) I went for a more casual agejo look this time~ I really wanted to do hime but I’ve realised that I don’t have anything good for winter! ;_; maybe it’s a good excuse to buy some more…? Tehehehe.

This meet was slightly different to what we usually did. We wanted it to be ‘cosy’ so we hung around Chewiee’s house and read magazines! I brought my BETTY hair bibles (which I love); I really hope I can do some of those hairstyles soon! It was lovely getting to know people that I haven’t met before, and people who I haven’t spoke to in ages!

Awh, look at everyone looking pretty and- wait, what the hell are those two doing in the corner?!

We really just chilled out! It was very relaxing~ plus it was way too cold outside to hang around the city. But afterwards we did go and do some karaoke! It was so dark in the room though so I couldn’t take photos ꒰੭ ❛⃘⌢❜⃘⃘ಃ ꒱໊ luckily Chewiee had one!

karaoke gyaru

I’m such a terrible singer, so I had to apologise so many times for my awful singing ;_; But I didn’t feel so embarrassed because I was with all of my friends and having fun!

Before I knew it I had to go home… I really can’t wait until the next meet (or me2 in gyaru slang!). Let’s hope there’s another one before Christmas ∗˚೫˳(●ᴖ͙̏ᴗॢᴖ͙̋●)˳೫˚∗

Guess that’s all for now cuties. Until next Sunday

Yesstyle’s OOTD: Ghost of Harlem

ghost of harlem, rokku gyaru, yesstyle review

I wore rokku gyaru the other day as it had been a while since I’ve done it, and I just had to wear this Ghost of Harlem dress from Yesstyle. I’m so happy that they sell brands on their website, especially as it’s quite hard to get Japanese brand online without having to pay an extortionate amount. This is actually my first rokku-branded item (can you believe it?) and I kind of want to buy more now… But I’ve got to think about my bank. One day, Lizzie, one day!

It wasn’t ‘too’ cold to wear, seeing as we’re already closing in on December, but I can see myself layering this dress up with a sheer blouse underneath. Rokku is great for layering up and I could always switch up my New Look shoe boots for over-the-knee ones.

I Wish I Was Better At… Gyaru Hair!

I’ve been into gyaru for quite a while now but there was always something lacking in my appearance – the gyaru hair. Work and uni took quite a lot of my spare time so I haven’t been able to experiment that much, but with uni over I can hopefully try some new styles out! This idea was enforced when my girl Chewiee did my hair for Hyper Japan (see pics here) and I really want to focus more on my hair and get the basics down!

To help myself – and hopefully you – out I’ve compiled a collection of both video tutorials and picture tutorials. Let’s work on this together!

Sponsored Review: HimeNailShop

Hey cuties! How are you this weekend? Having fun?

I’ve had a huge obsession with false nails lately… Because of my job I can’t really wear the super long ones but I have slowly started getting used to wearing them! I think my longest pair were my Halloween ones that I did… But everyone starts from somewhere, don’t they?

To me, nails are a huge part of gyaru! I haven’t really thought it before but the tiny details do really make the coord complete! That’s why I was really happy when I saw that my friend Heather started selling some of her nails on Etsy >////< Now I can have easy access to short but pretty false nails!

The nails I received were these gorgeous pink to purple glitter ombre ones that actually have some cute crystals on them! I asked for the short option because she does both long and short nails!

Please note that also this is a sponsored review, these thoughts are 100% my own!

As this is my first review for her, here’s a little bit about the store and her nails before I go on:

Based in the U.S.

There are three sizes for the nails: Queen, Princess and Dutchess

Custom sizing is available if you don’t fit into the above categories

Nails tips are made with ABS Virgin Plastic, then sealed & decorated with UV top coat

There’s a 10% discount is you use my code LIZZIEBEE

Here are some more pictures!

pretty packaging~

Now I actually swapped one of the fingers so the design here might look different to her website. I thought it looked cute this way

I was really in the oraora/tsuyome/ane gal mood when I tried these on so I just HAD to dress to reflect them >///<

Anyway, onto the ratings!

Postage and Packaging

I received them in a lovely little box – which I now use for storage
tehe – along with a  thank you card! So cute! It was really nice because
she actually put some thought into her packaging! It took about just
over a week to nearly two to arrive as she ships from America, so you
American readers are lucky ;D

Communication

Despite our time differences, she replied to me really shortly after my messages! She handled the whole situation with one of the nails being slightly small perfectly, and my replacement nails were sent out really quickly.

Appearance

I loved how they looked and thought they went really well with oraora and the “harder” gyaru styles! They probably won’t go with my agejo wardrobe as much, but they are still really pretty.

Usability ♡

Knocked off a heart because I won’t be able to wear these much with my wardrobe… Maybe I need to buy some oraora stuff. But they come shorter which is good for working gals like me 😀 Unfortunately one of the little gems came off while I was food shopping and I don’t have anything to replace it ;_; Hopefully I can find something in my nail supplies!

Overall

Overall I was really happy with my item! Obviously I knocked off the remaining percentage because of the nail sizing and the crystal coming off, but everything else was perfect! I’d definitely recommend her shop!

really hope to get better! I’ve also got a new Twitter so please follow! @3lizziebee

Okay now it’s really time to go! Ciao!

Agejo Gyaru at MCM Expo!

Hey everyone! How are you? Hope you’re having a good weekend so far!

Last week I went to MCM Expo! I did OTT agejo gyaru and I was quite nervous about this because I’ve never done this before, but then I thought about all of the amazing people I was going to see ଘ꒰◍ॢ•ᴗ•◍ॢ꒱༌✩ plus I really wanted to wear my new MA*RS socks and Ruby Rose headband that Charli got for me

I met my friend Melissa at expo and after going through the queue we headed straight to meet a few of my friends. It was a bit confusing because everything is split into two rooms now… But it means that there are more stalls to buy from tehehe. So for the rest of the day we scoured the stalls and bought lots of goodies! I did a lot of running around after amazing cosplayers and at one point I actually said to someone, “No please don’t go! I want to take a photo of you!” Sad, I know ^^” Here are some photos!

Happy Halloween! Trick or Treat?

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Halloween! Halloween is one of my favourite occasions of the year, but unfortunately I’m working so I can’t dress up ;_;

But to make up for it, I made some Halloween nails! I got some nail deco from Born Pretty Store which arrived just two days before Halloween! Just in time or what?

I’ve been trying to do more and more nails but I’m still a beginner ^^” I haven’t read got the knack for painting, but I try my best!

The nail deco I ordered were these ones from Born Pretty Store! I was kind of expecting to get the whole pack including the jack o’lanterns but apparently not! So guys please read the options carefully as it seems they only release one design, if that makes sense?

I ended up with the ghost faces which came as a pack of five, so plenty to do some nails! I used four, two for each of my accent nails, so I have one lying around for next year!

They were the perfect size for my nails! I love them!

I also wore red lipstick which I also got from Born Pretty Store for work (working on Halloween sucks) and oh my gosh I love the colour! It’s not too dark so that it drains the colour of my skin, but not too orange either. What’s handy is that it’s small so it’s easy to just take it out and reapply when needed!

I bought some Halloween accessories to wear at work too :3

I really wish I had dressed up for Halloween but I’m super tired.. Guess I’ll just be a real-life zombie then hahahaha =_=

Tired Lizzie is tired… Please excuse my no-make face!

That’s all for now! Have a wonderful halloween! I drew this picture to celebrate too :3

See you on Sunday! Ciao! Don’t forget to use the code HORNH10 for a discount!

Dinner Dates & Late Night Parties!

Hey guys! How are you?

I’ve got some really, really good news… My eye has healed! I’ve never been so happy about something like that in my whole life. I’m still going to be very careful with it and keep it moisturised, but now I can finally put makeup on it! Here are a few agejo coords from last weekend~

♡ Queen of Hearts

This is my look for when I went out for a birthday party! I wore my new MA*RS set! I think it’s a replica because although I think it’s MA*RS the label says Princess Melody ^^” But that’s okay, it was still super cute!

Sorry for the low quality pictures… Was in such a rush ;_; And lighting is so bad in my room.

Set: MA*RS Replica / Belt: MA*RS / Acc: New Look & Muse / Socks: Primark / Heels: Dorothy Perkins

I put more of a focus on hair accessories this time because I always seem to lack in that department. I just bought these roses the day before and oh my gosh I am in love with the purple colour! I was in a hurry that I couldn’t take a decent photo of it, and my waves died after a work so it wasn’t quite as wavy as I wanted it to be.

Better picture of the hairstyle~ Eurgh can’t believe how fast my waves died! So annoying!
Made some nails to go with my new outfit! (I actually took this photo the next day tehehe~)

We ended up being late to the party but luckily the birthday girl was okay with that as more people started turning up around the same time we did!
Phew! I had so much fun. They played a lot of ’80s music which I loved and I danced lots and lots! It’s a shame that I didn’t take any photos… But it was pretty dark so you probably wouldn’t see anything anyway ^^”

Me and my boyfriend after the party We’re both idiots but it’s okay, we’re cool with it.

Casual Brunch Date ♡

The next day me & my boyfriend decided to go out to Wagamama for some brunch! It’s the first time we’ve been there where we didn’t order a main… It felt kind of weird.

Please ignore my no-makeup face… I was still kinda’ sleepy tehehe.

Casual agejo coord~

Yummy food!

♡ Thai Curry Date

In the evening we tried out a local thai restaurant and oh my gosh it was one of the best decisions we ever had! The food and atmosphere was amazing… I just had to take some photos for you all.

Isn’t it so amazing? I loved the whole atmosphere!

And my outfit & makeup! I went for a more onee gyaru look this time~ You might recognise this from my previous post ;D

Guess that’s all for now darlings! I’ll see you all next week Ciao!

Yesstyle Review: GOLDS Infinity Ruffled Top

Hey everyone! How are you?

Yes, it’s me again… Looks like you have to put up with me for an extra day this week tehehe. As I explained in my last post “My Gyaru Wardrobe: Take Two!” I needed to do an extra post because I’ve got quite a few lined up and didn’t want to have a back log because then I’ll end up having lots of drafts but no published posts!

Today’s post is a review of this gorgeous GOLDS Infinity top from Yesstyle! Please note that although this is a sponsored review, all of my thoughts are 100% my own.

♡ Chain-Accent Tie-Back Ruffle Top

I received this top last week and I was so excited to try it on! As you know, I’m a huge agejo fan but I’ve only really worn MA*RS, and GOLDS Infinity still have a few elegant items that you could work with agejo. For now I’m going to call it “classy agejo”~

Front ~ Just loving the gold chain as a neckline
Back
Added in some agejo elements like lace shorts & patterned tights!

Top: GOLDS Infinity @ Yesstyle / Shorts: eBay / Tights : Primark / Shoes: Dorothy Perkins / Acc: Muse

I love love love this top. Even though it’s classier and leaning to the more onee gyaru style I can still mix it up with agejo but pairing it with some patterned tights and lace shorts. The only thing I would say though is that I found the tie a bit annoying to, erm, tie.

Seeing as it’s my first review of Yesstyle, I shall give them some ratings!

Postage and Packaging

I forgot to take photos of the actual packaging but it was fairly simply; all bunched up in a small bag so that it would fit through the letterbox.

Communication

I have to knock off a star (heart) or two because of the fact that I originally ordered it in purple but received it in black… But it was okay because I messaged them about it and found out that it was because the purple was out of stock. At least the black one was still pretty~ But the purple… ;_; Oh well!

Appearance

Beautiful! Love the lace details on the sleeve.

Usability

Great for parties, and could possibly wear it to work with a blazer, skirt and black tights. Plus you can stick it in the washing machine!

Overall ♡

I would love to give Yesstyle a full rating but I had to knock off a few hearts because of the incorrect colour. However we did manage to sort it out and I really do love this top!

That’s all for now m’lovelies! Shall speak to you on Sunday

My Gyaru Wardrobe, Take Two!

I was going through my gyaru wardrobe one day when I realised just how much it has expanded over the past year or two. It’s crazy! It made me think about all of the money I spent and I sincerely apologise, Bank, for breaking you repeatedly. I promise I won’t spend as much over the next week year or so! This brought me back to my gyaru wardrobe post that I wrote back in 2012 linkso I think it’s time that I update it and see where my style has taken me!
