Hey cutie! How are you? ♡ today I’m sharing some scans from Popteen April 2010 issue! I’ve bought a bunch of Popteens recently and I really can’t wait to share them all with you. I had to take these ‘scans’ on my phone though as my scanner kept blurring quite a lot of the pictures… Hope that’s okay! (*/▽＼*) Not all pages are included, just the ones that were my favourites (otherwise there’d be 100+ images haha). Okay, let’s go!
♡ Brand Specific Pages ♡
Brands like CO&LU, Liz Lisa, Liz Lisa Doll, Tralala and the JSG collaboration with Popteen and Hello Kitty were the main ones featured in this issue! I really really want to buy some items from the JSGxHello Kitty collab but they are so hard to find… But it really inspires me to mix together my Hello Kitty boom with gyaru!
I really liked the items in the Liz Lisa collection, and I shared some scans from their 2010 spring collection a while back. It’s still one of my favourite collections yet – I just love how they mix cowboy boots with floral dresses.
♡ Bag Trends ♡
Yaaaay I love all of these bags so much! They’re slowly bringing out some basket bags and I love the whole fringe thing that they have going on (which ties in with the cowboy boots). I’m quite surprised with how big these bags are! There aren’t many clutch bags or very small bags.. I love it. Stylish and practical!
♡ Shoe Trends ♡
Yay, there’s the cowboy boots! It’s funny because I always viewed boots as things only restricted to Autumn/Winter, but they work really well in Spring coords. They’ve still got things like pumps (whenever I see a coord with heeled pumps, I think of Tsu-chan) and some converse for the amekaji gals.
♡ Hair Accessories Trends ♡
I love their choice of hair accessories! Hats are still a main feature this season, but they are more like caps instead of the woolly ones from Winter. I really, really want to buy that grandpa-looking beret. They’ve slowly started incorporating hair bows and scarves which are a huge trend for Summer. All in all, very cute!
♡ Kogals! ♡
It’s no surprise that there are a few pages dedicated to kogals, as most of the models are teens, so I thought I’d include these scans for you kogals out there!
♡ Street Snap ♡
These are, personally, my favourite pages. I love seeing how “normal” gals put together their outfits! Most of them are extremely wearable.

I’m grown out of popteen, so I’m more into the 30s-mags now (for my own style as it changed over the years), but I still LOVE to read about it and love the styles nevertheless ♥️
And I’m always happy about Sanrio themed fashion; Yesterday I wore my hello kitty barbarian rock hoodie and I felt really good with it. 😌

April 1, 2021I just recently got into looking at Popteen and I got some numbers from 2009 coming in the mail soon! So I’m happy to see more numbers. I really like Liz Lisa Doll, I didn’t know about it until today lol. Now I have to research more about it, thank you for always sharing scans, they are really helpful 🙂
