I picked up the MA*RS set that had been sitting on my “to sell” pile for months and sighed. I’ve been thinking about selling this heart-print set for a while now but for some reason I couldn’t seem to let it go. The agejo style slowly diminished in my wardrobe ever since I adopted ane agejo, a more toned-down version, and so I sold most of my older prints. This one was one of the very few pieces I had left that belonged to the old school agejo style and some part of me sighed in relief when I slowly put it back into my wardrobe.
Life can be so unpredictable. When you think you’ve finally found your way and start to feel comfortable, someone pulls out a wobbly jenga piece and it all starts crashing down back to square one. I continuously work myself to exhaustion to try and keep on top of it all until one day I find myself lying in bed staring blankly at the ceiling.
I didn’t think much of you when we first met; you were a pretty ordinary guy with an ordinary life, and I was actually quite sick of boys at that time because they were always the same. No matter how pretty they were they were predictable to the core (from the guys I knew of anyway) and it was a bit boring. I thus decided that I couldn’t be bothered to have a guy in my life and would rather just do my own thing and be my own favourite human.
And then you came along and… Well, nothing changed. At first. anyway.
Nothing can compare to spending your birthday with your loved ones. I used to go on holiday over the duration of my birthday but you just don’t get that warm feeling you have when you’re surrounded by the people you care about.
My birthday started off quite hectic as I was stressing out trying to get everything sorted and decorated. Luckily my other half as well as a couple of my friends helped me out (if you’re reading this – thank you so much!). I couldn’t have spent it with better people and I’m so happy that it went really smoothly. Wearing my new favourite dress that I bought especially for the occasion definitely boosted my happy meter! I mean, the birthday gal just has to look good, don’t you think?

I’ve been staring at this screen for goodness knows how long trying to think of the best way to explain how to do agejo gyaru on the budget, but the lines between doing that and just gyaru on a budget in general is quite blurred as many of the same things apply. I wrote about how to do gyaru on a budget a few years ago and I still follow those pointers, so I have decided instead to create outfits for less than £100 to give you an idea on how to put everything together with a few tips at the end!
