Hey cutie ♡ 你好小可爱! How are you? I’ve been really inspired by old-school gal blogs recently where they pretty much blog every day with super casual posts. I don’t know it’s kind of… refreshing? It’s something that I would love to do however my everyday life is pretty boring lol but luckily I have about a million things on my mind so I have plenty to write about (*ﾉ∀`*)
Today I want to write about the time where I saw my friends for the first time since lockdown eased! Yes, it’s a very late post haha (as this was like… nearly a month or so ago now ( 〃▽〃) ) but it really marks a special occasion for me.
Because of this, I decided to try baking a chocolate cake from just three ingredients and, well… I burnt the cake lol. But is it really a Hello Lizzie Cafe moment if I didn’t burn something????

When my friend Amy from Scariel’s Grotto first asked me to do this Disneybound post I immediately thought of Mulan. It’s one of my favourite Disney films (together with Big Hero 6 and Zootropolis) so I was really excited to do this. I began to flick through some of the clothes Mulan wore before settling on her armour (I hated the colours in her dresses) and started gathering some ideas.
I then began to think… What would Mulan be like if she was gyaru? She definitely wouldn’t be the himekaji type (no way can I image her in cute floral dresses), nor something like agejo or tsuyome. It finally clicked when I was looking through some pictures of onee gyaru and came across some old pictures of Sayoko Ozaki. Mulan would look awesome with onee gyaru makeup, although her badass character would definitely make her more ane gyaru. I then had a look at clothes in Western stores to make an outfit that’s easy to buy, as well as some pictures of onee/ane gyaru outfits and makeup.
Before picking out her clothes I dug into my onee gyaru and ane gyaru archives to put together a little moodboard. I’m extremely excited for Autumn so it wasn’t a coincidence that I picked out more Autumn outfits, and I had to refrain from making it entirely Sayoko Ozaki based. If Mulan were gyaru, her makeup would definitely be more onee where she’d go for light makeup to spend more time outside kicking bad guy’s butt. Her hair would be lightly tousled – something she’d probably do the previous night – or in a messy bun.
I picked quite a lot of these items from Boohoo for my Disneybound moodboard – I can’t get enough of that place! I opted for the shorts and over-the-knee boots combination that you see a lot in gyaru outfits, especially in Autumn, and paired it with a kimono jacket for that more casual look. Of course her trust companion Mushu has to be with her wherever she goes, and what better than having dragon jewellery?
What do you think? What would your favourite Disney character be like if she/he was gyaru/gyaruo? I’d love to hear what you think!
This was the first time that I took outfit photos outside the comfort of my home, and I learnt three very important things: one, that I was so awkward when it came to posing; two, that I get terribly nervous when taking outfit shots outdoors; and three, that white shoes will never look clean after some walking. I couldn’t help but feel that everyone was staring at me and thinking that I was being that ditsy chick just trying to get a picture in front of some cherry blossoms like a typical tourist (I was in Japan, after all) so this time I just asked my other half to take ten photos in total before settling down on the grass to enjoy the sight of cherry blossoms before I got too flustered.
I find myself writing this post really last minute (again). I’ve been so busy going to Christmas work-dos that I haven’t had time to do anything! Never in my life have I been out so much in one week, so I’m feeling a bit worn out ^^”
The Christmas spirit has finally caught up with me and I’m getting really excited! I started on my nails yesterday and I just can’t wait to get them finished. I’ll post a pic on my Instagram or FB page when I’m done ♡(.◜ω◝.)♡
I went to see my bby Pixie yesterday and I managed to put together a somewhat “Christmassy” outfit. I got these reindeer slippers as I secret santa present and oh my gosh I love them. If only they were shoes…
At that moment of me taking photos it got really bright in my room so sorry for the crap photos ꒰੭ ❛⃘⌢❜⃘⃘ಃ ꒱໊
The lighting drained all of my blusher but #datnosecontour
We went to eat at a Jamaican restaurant and even though the service was crap, the food was lovely! I had the jerk chicken supreme.
The lights outside the restaurant were really pretty so we took some photos~
The lights were gorgeous!
Me & Pixie! <3
Such a Christmassy photo tehehehe~
Then we headed to Liberty’s~ it’s kind of like a department store, but for high brands so I was just walking around drooling at the fancy bags and clothes. Then we went to the Christmas store and it was just so… Christmassy! I couldn’t take many photos as it was packed but I managed to snap one of these hedgehogs. Although something was very strange about one of them… It only had one eye!
Hedgehog cyclops, tehe!
In the Christmas Shop in Liberty!
We then went to have hot chocolate/coffee in this cute little place that was just around the corner~
I had hot chocolate and chocolate cake! So yummy~
London is really pretty around Christmas, although their lights weren’t as extravagant as last
year… They were still pretty though! I had to go home soon afterwards as I was feeling a bit queasy from all of the chocolate I ate ^^” never again!
Taken earlier in the day~
There was definitely a peacock theme going on!
But yeah so I had a very Christmas-filled day; I went to wrap presents as soon as I got home so I’m nearly all prepped now!
Have you guys all done your Christmas shopping? Getting that Christmas fever? ଘː꒰⑅ᵕ ॢ꒳̮ᵕ ॢ⑅꒱ːଓ
Until next time! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas! Love you all~ ( •ॢ◡-ॢ)-♡
Is it just me or has the whole clock-going-forward thing really set you in a good mood? It has for me, as it’s a reminder that spring is creeping closer. I am so happy that I no longer have to wear long boring coats and 10000000x sweaters.
I’ve been really digging statement t-shirts this spring which is really weird because I used to think that they were ever so boring and unoriginal, but this dollar t-shirt really got me into them. I’ve got about three of such t-shirts now and I keep flicking between them but today I’m wearing this dollar one with my gorgeous high-waisted shorts that only Miss Selfridge can do.
