Gyaru Makeup Tutorial (Without Circle Lenses!)

gyaru makeup tutorial without circle lens, lizzie bee

When you think of gyaru makeup you, naturally, would think about wearing circle lenses but what about the people who can’t wear such things? Yep, I am one of those people, and although I used to wear them I can happily say that I haven’t been wearing them for 90% of my gyaru life. Because of this, I’ve been having quite a lot of people asking me on my instagram on how I do my eye makeup without circle lens and the other day I finally bit the bullet and took some photos. I’m hoping to do a video in future but I’m a bit of a n00b when it comes to video stuff. If anyone has some advice that would be amazing.

So here goes… My gyaru makeup tutorial without circle lenses! I hope you’ll like it.

Testing, Attention Please

Wow this week has been so hectic; I’ve been doing a lot of travelling so haven’t really had a proper lie in at all. But who cares! I have so much to tell you that I’m bubbling in excitement writing this.

First things first, I have a new job! Yes, Lizzie is now working at a clothes store! I feel so much better now because my old job was rather… Well, I got bored, and I really wanted something new with nicer shifts.

So I applied for a new job and got a job offer straight after the interview! Pretty awesome, right? Yeah I was so so happy that I of course agreed to take the job and I had my first shift last Saturday. The people there were lovely as well, and I felt that I was being a lot more “me”. I guess this is a perfect chance for a whole new start work-wise.

I’ve slowly started getting into dolling up daily again and I must say that it’s been too long. I still get those days where I laze around doing nothing, but I think I’ve finally had enough time to think about my future so I’ve made a little plan on separating my uni life and social life equally and to realise that in the end, my happiness does come first. I want to be able to see my friends and family a lot more this year, and with my new job I think I could make that happen. And the reason for dolling up? I just feel good about myself when I do and make more of an effort to face the day.

But eurgh enough of the rambling, and onto the main part of the post! I’ve started doing gal without lens again because I’m on my final pair. Yes, it’s so heartbreaking… My black lens have finally ran it’s course ;_; So all I have left are my gold lens!

I think doing gal without lens is a great way to focus more on makeup on hair but as you can see I only had time to straighten my hair this time.

My look just before I headed off to uni!

I think that my life is finally sorting itself out and I’ve been following a schedule on what time to wake up and go to sleep. It’s been making my life so much easier and I’ve been getting the sleep needed to keep me going. Okay so I have had some nights where I stayed up late but I’ve been doing a lot better than usual!

I’ve also been good when it comes to spending as well… And this is my most recent item I bought. It was waiting for me on my doorstep when returning home from uni so it made my day a whole lot better!

So I just tried it on really quickly~ Although now I really can’t wait for it to be summer so I could actually wear it properly *_*

So I guess that’s all for today! Just thought I’d give you all an update on the recent goings-on. I hope you’re all having a lovely week so far, and that you’ve got much planned for the weekend!

Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year guys!

I know that it was in fact three days ago but thought I’d better say it late then never ;D

My boyfriend came down to see me for the weekend so we celebrated both Valentines and Chinese New Year! We decided not to get each other anything for Valentines because it’ll be our anniversary soon~ So we’re saving up for money for then 😛

Friday and Saturday were spent watching Sherlock – yes I have converted him to be a Sherlockfan ;D –  because I had uni and then work on Saturday, but on Sunday I drove over to the Wing Yip and bought loads of Chinese food! It’s been too long <3 I bought tons of dumplings and mantou… I think it might last me for quite a while ;D I was going to take photos but didn’t really have the time.

In the evening we went out to Cosmo! We were originally going to go to this other place but we realised that we had booked it at another city because the website didn’t state that it wasn’t in our hometown >< But Cosmo was still really nice! It’s much smaller than the one in my hometown but the food was delicious. I took full advantage of the Eton Mess ;D

I wore my complete MA*RS set and my new necklace! I was going to wear the bracelet but it’s slightly – ever so slightly – too big so I need to find a way to adjust that ><

I wasn’t too sure if it was okay to wear this because it started snowing, again. Eurgh I thought that I had finally escaped the snow and rain but HELL NAW.

Set: MA*RS
Tights: Primark
Shoes: Dorothy Perkins
Jewellery: Muse and Di Depux

Upper lashes: Jewerich no.2
Lower lashes: Beauty Eye by Diamond Lash

Okay so I guess that’s all for now! Hope you all had a brilliant New Year 😀 I did!

Gyaru Romantic Makeup Tutorial!

Et voila, here is the long-awaited makeup tutorial done by the lovely moi (“makeup tutorial?” “Ah oui”).

I’ve been getting quite a few people asking me to create an eye makeup tutorial so I thought, why not? I had taken these photos quite a while back and didn’t really want them to gather dust, so I neatened the edges and created a picture makeup tutorial. The reason I’ve done a picture one rather than a YouTube video is purely because I really don’t know how to take makeup videos without obscuring part of my eye. I am really amazed at how people do it!

Now that I’ve decided on a day to post, I’m finding it really hard to choose what to post! I still have to create one on my New Years Resolutions, and then I’ve got a gal meet that I went to yesterday to talk about as well.

Kind of makes me think whether or not I should post twice a week but I know that uni work is gonna’ make that really hard to do. Ho hum pigs bum!

Anyway I hope you like this tutorial and find it useful!

Sponsored Review: E301 Hazel

Please note that although this is a sponsored review, the thoughts and opinions stated are 100% my own.

Hello all!

This is a bit of a failure-of-a-post because originally I was going to do another outfit one where I don some oraora clothes, take makeup shots etc… But yeah, it didn’t turn out so great. So instead I decided to do a review!

These lens are sponsored by the wonderful Mukuchu! I have a pair of lens from them before
(my favourite purple pair) but unfortunately they have expired. I was therefore extremely glad to see an email from them saying that they would like to sponsor me.

I’m a bit late creating this post due to unforeseen circumstances that I couldn’t really work around, but despite that they have been really understandable and I am grateful for that.

The lens they have provided me was E301 – Hazel, toric lens for people with astigmatism.

Communication ★★★★★
They always answered my replies on the day or the next day, so I would give them top marks for that! They were really understanding as well because of unforeseen circumstances that meant that this post was a little late, and I really appreciate that.

here’s the lens that came with a little step-by-step guide as well as the case!

Packaging ★★★★★

The lens arrived in an enveloped lined with bubble-wrap, alongside a lens case and a leaflet. So I can definitely say that the lens arrived all in good condition as the lens themselves were wrapped in bubble wrap. I actually prefer having items being sent to me in envelopes rather than boxes because I won’t have to pick them up at the nearest post office or anything.

Comfort ★★★

After soaking the lens in some solution overnight, I decided to try them out the next day. For the first hour they were a bit irritating but as the day went on they were fine. However they began to get irritating again in the evening where I had to take them off because they were so annoying.
It appears that this happens to me with all of my lens, so it might be my actual eye instead of the lens…

Design ★★★★★
At first I thought the design was a bit plain but when I put them on I realised just how pretty it was! It’s perfect for the everyday look as it blends so well with my natural eye colour. I love it!

Enlargement
I actually don’t think that these lens are any bigger than my natural eye, so I’m going to give it a low score on that. They don’t make my eyes look large and doll-like, but they definitely are pretty! The “lines” on the design make me look more awake and sparkly.

Overall ★★★★1/2
I am going to give them 4 and a half because I am in love with the design, but the comfort brings it down slightly. I would definitely order from Mukuchu again though because although it takes a while to receive the lens (as they do batch orders) it’s definitely worth it.

If you would like to purchase their lens – although they sell a lot more products than just lens, but lens are their speciality – then click here to be redirected to their website.
