Sponsored Review: E301 Hazel

Please note that although this is a sponsored review, the thoughts and opinions stated are 100% my own.

Hello all!

This is a bit of a failure-of-a-post because originally I was going to do another outfit one where I don some oraora clothes, take makeup shots etc… But yeah, it didn’t turn out so great. So instead I decided to do a review!

These lens are sponsored by the wonderful Mukuchu! I have a pair of lens from them before
(my favourite purple pair) but unfortunately they have expired. I was therefore extremely glad to see an email from them saying that they would like to sponsor me.

I’m a bit late creating this post due to unforeseen circumstances that I couldn’t really work around, but despite that they have been really understandable and I am grateful for that.

The lens they have provided me was E301 – Hazel, toric lens for people with astigmatism.

Communication ★★★★★
They always answered my replies on the day or the next day, so I would give them top marks for that! They were really understanding as well because of unforeseen circumstances that meant that this post was a little late, and I really appreciate that.

here’s the lens that came with a little step-by-step guide as well as the case!

Packaging ★★★★★

The lens arrived in an enveloped lined with bubble-wrap, alongside a lens case and a leaflet. So I can definitely say that the lens arrived all in good condition as the lens themselves were wrapped in bubble wrap. I actually prefer having items being sent to me in envelopes rather than boxes because I won’t have to pick them up at the nearest post office or anything.

Comfort ★★★

After soaking the lens in some solution overnight, I decided to try them out the next day. For the first hour they were a bit irritating but as the day went on they were fine. However they began to get irritating again in the evening where I had to take them off because they were so annoying.
It appears that this happens to me with all of my lens, so it might be my actual eye instead of the lens…

Design ★★★★★
At first I thought the design was a bit plain but when I put them on I realised just how pretty it was! It’s perfect for the everyday look as it blends so well with my natural eye colour. I love it!

Enlargement
I actually don’t think that these lens are any bigger than my natural eye, so I’m going to give it a low score on that. They don’t make my eyes look large and doll-like, but they definitely are pretty! The “lines” on the design make me look more awake and sparkly.

Overall ★★★★1/2
I am going to give them 4 and a half because I am in love with the design, but the comfort brings it down slightly. I would definitely order from Mukuchu again though because although it takes a while to receive the lens (as they do batch orders) it’s definitely worth it.

If you would like to purchase their lens – although they sell a lot more products than just lens, but lens are their speciality – then click here to be redirected to their website.
If you need Toric Lens because you, like me, have astigmatism, then click here!

Heeeeeeey Sexy Lady!

*title totally not a reference to Gangnam Style… /cough*

This week has been the first week that I actually put in some effort into my makeup; over the summer I haven’t bothered doing it because I was either staying at home or going to work, and so I properly wore makeup for the first time in ages when I went to Cambridge. Then I stopped for a while, but now I’m back!

It was my boyfriend’s birthday party on Friday – the perfect chance to wear my new skirt! It was my first time wearing it because I wanted to buy some bits and bobs to go with it… I was actually quite excited, I kid you not.

Another reason of why I was excited was because it was going to be the first time I had “gone out” in ages. I can’t remember the last time I felt good enough to actually go out before this (maybe when I went out with the girlies?) Anyways, I had a really really good time… It was so nice to see all of my old friends again!

Anyways, here’s my look for that day! :3

dusty mirror is dusty.

Primark top, Muse necklace & earrings, MA*RS skirt,

Primark suspender tights, Dorothy Perkins heels

Oh and I have one more picture to show you…

“My body is ready.”

Eurgh my boyf’s cat is amazing.

On a final note: I don’t have a clue on what to do with my YouTube Channel. I would love to do more videos but I’m not sure if it’s my thing? ;_; Idk. I guess it’s because I’ve ran out of ideas on what to do D:

So my question for today is: Got anything you would you like to ask me? :3 I’m going to do a “questions” tag or something like that, just to keep the YouTube updated.

Until next time, ladies and gentlemen!

Tips for Doing Gyaru on a Budget

Tips for Doing Gyaru on a Budget

Today’s post is going to be about going gyaru on a budget. This is quite a popular topic within gyaru as many people who are new to the scene always ask, “Can I be gyaru even though I don’t have a job/a lot of money?” Now my answer to this is: yes, you can!

This is mostly due to personal experiences; when I started out gyaru I didn’t really have a job nor much pocket money, so I had to do everything I could to be gyaru but spend as little as possible. Even now I still tend to only spend on the items I either need or really really like and couldn’t possibly live without!

Let’s get onto the list, shall we?

Behind Enemy Lines

Just a short post of my look! It was the first time I had dolled up in over a month, so I though it deserved to be shown on this blog.

I’m so sorry that I haven’t really been updating as frequently as before; I’m still on my semi-hiatus because I know that as soon as I say “I’m back!” I’ll disappear for like 2 weeks and then would be all apologetic saying “I was caught up in something”. So for now I’ll just stick with my semi-hiatus mode.

I swear I’m beginning to love this cardi <3
New Look cardi, Primark top, New Look jeans,
Muse necklace, Primark socks & Dorothy Perkins’ boots

I actually love oraora. I’m not kidding. I actually really want to try out the style a lot more and try out different makeup styles ~ So this is more of a sweet/oraora look. Next time I would try adding some black for that beautiful smokiness.

Anyway, I have quite a fair amount of stuff to blog about in the upcoming weeks but I’m going to take my time posting them. That’s all for today I guess! Until next time (although I don’t know when ;_;). I love you all <3

Getting there, soldiering on.

Still on a semi-hiatus~

I decided to take down my previous post because I just realised how personal it was; I do love you, my dear readers, but the day after when I saw the post it actually affected me and made me feel a lot worse… I’d like to thank all of those wonderful people who made comments on that post; it seriously does mean a lot.

I’m currently staying at my parents’ house for a couple of weeks until everything is sorted, although because of the circumstances I didn’t really bring everything I needed with me. Like warm clothes, for example. Boy it’s getting cold now!

I’m actually really excited for winter which is a first because I always hated it. I guess it’s because I’m looking forward to finally having hot chocolate, snuggling in front of the fire, and wearing big comfy ol’ jumpers! Thing is though, I’m totally unprepared for it.

So me, K and my mum went shopping to get some supplies, and these are what I bought~

Found this on the sales rack! Been reduced by 50% and seeing as it was the
only one left in my size… Might as well!
A much-needed winter coat!
And, of course, some boots!

And now for a MA*RS skirt that my lovely boyfriend bought for me! I had been dying to buy this skirt for ages, and wasn’t going to buy it at all until he was like, “I’ll buy it for you!” And of course I had to say yes to that!

Also, now that the first issue of Gal VIP has been released, I am “allowed” to show you some post-production photos! :3 I have two sets as one of them was for the cover shoot where I worked with Amelie~ <3

And let’s end this post with a lovely cuppa’ hot chocolate that K made me! :3~

Shooting Time! Well, not that kind of shooting…

First Issue of Gal VIP has been released!

Oraora!

Oraora!

I’m not supposed to be blogging right now as I’m in the middle of doing uni work, but I’ve just got told that I’m going to have a (yet again) really early shift at work tomorrow so I might as well do it now rather than in the evening where I stay up late just to get everything right OTL

Lately I’ve been really into the oraora/96gal/tsuyome scene, and even though I don’t have a heavy tan I still admire the dramatic hair and makeup! So I wanted to try out oraora again, and the main reason being was that I received my new Listen Flavour hoodie (which is now one of my favourite items of clothing). I needed to have a bit of “me” time anyway because of being overloaded with shifts & uni work.

full shot of my outfit~

I’m wearing my deliciously-awesome new thigh high boots that Stef bought me from my birthday. Unfortunately when I started walking I realised that the top “flapped about” a bit ;_; Damn. Sucks so much D: Going to try and find a way to stop that from happening but for now it’s only good for photos… Never felt so bad in my life ;_; ’cause THEY ARE SO PRETTY D:

My eyemake; still settling for the gold/black look… Oh well!

Wearing my new lens too ;D Going to be posting up a review soon!

So keep an eye out for it! ;D

This looks was… Different, to what I normally do. I normally go for the cute/elegant appearance but this time it was totally badass and rebellious. When I walked to work to get some stuff (as I work in a lil’ supermarket) one of my work colleagues didn’t know it was me! He was just chatting away over the little stall to me and then when I walked out to buy the stuff he was like, “Whao I didn’t recognise you there!” But yeah 😛 I really do like this look and shall definitely be doing it again!

EURGH SORRY FOR THE PHOTOSPAM OF MY FACE *shot*

Last question of the day before I go: What time is it where you’re at? I love seeing how people all over the world read my blog, and the time difference between us! Right now it’s 14.55 for me ^^

Adios, amigos! Gotta’ get packing for tomorrow and carry on doing uni work. Love you all!

Girl’s Night Out

On Saturday – nearly a week ago – I arranged to hang out with a couple of my friends as it had been forever since I last saw them. One of my friends came round to mine to get all dolled up and have Chinese before heading off into town~

Photo when I got back… No wonder it’s blurry!

One of the main reasons of us going to town was because there was this live music thing going on. It was pretty crowded and freezing so after having a drink (or two in E’s case) we headed over to this other place where they were playing live indie-rock music. At the end we all agreed that the music was vair depressing, but oh wells! It was good to just see them again.

The Pimm’s drink I had! Wow it was so delicious and magical.

I can’t really write more on the matter as we didn’t stay out for long; J had to drive back quite far to get home, and I couldn’t be bothered to spend £100 or something ridiculous on drinks lololol. I did manage to get rather tipsy though! So tipsy that I actually made a vlog (which you can view here). CROAKY VOICE AND SHIZZ FTW!

Whoops.

I guess that’s all I have to write today, I’m sorry for such a short post and not showing a lot of pictures! Tbh I didn’t really take many as I felt awkward taking photos of my look when J was round (didn’t wanna’ be a poser tehehehe~)

Until the next post!

Sweet dreams (are made of this)

Hey readers!

My brain is so dead right now because, as usual, I just have a huge list of all of the blogposts that I should’ve posted weeks before but I haven’t. I was supposed to make a birthday post last week but… I’ll just leave that for now.

The reason why I’m doing this post first before my birthday post is that it’s linked to my previous one, where I did a review on Soul Sister magazine. Ever since I read that magazine I’m re-inspired to try out oraora and ane gal, and on the day that I planned on doing the vlog I dressed up in this style.

My make~ I’m trying to wear these lens more often because they’re gonna’ run out soon ;_;

My coord for that day! It was actually warm enough for me to wear something like this for once. Damn you English summer! We used to have really really hot summers but this year it’s just crap D:

This was actually my first time wearing that top despite me having it for at least a year OTL. I should really wear my old clothes more often! Or at least do a wardrobe clean out.

Sorry that this is a fairly short post… I’m just so tired right now. Should probably sleep more. Well that’s all for now!

Shooting time! Well, not that kind of shooting…

Okay I probably deserve a slap on the hand for not posting in so long.

Truth is that I’ve been so caught up in work that I haven’t been feeling too well in the past couple of days; so unwell that I just haven’t been bothered to put on makeup let alone write a blogpost because I had massive headaches every time I looked at the computer screen. But the good thing is that I’m here now and ready to blog again!

So last Sunday through to Tuesday I stayed over at Amelie’s and Bunny’s house in the lovely town of Brighton. It had been ages since I’ve seen my girlies so it was wonderful to stay over more than one night to be complete loons and dance around to scary visual kei music. Well, I was the one dancing… They just sat there watching me as if I was some sort of lunatic or something 😛

Monday was the day that Amelie dolled me up for the Gal VIP photoshoot! She herself was being lazy lazy, and didn’t doll up (ahaha ilu really Amelie!) If you haven’t already heard of Gal VIP click here to be directed to their FB page and here to their main website! It’s basically a gaijin gyaru magazine, with it’s first issue being launched in the first week of September! I am uber excited, because the people behind the scenes are putting in tons of effort so it would be amazing to see what they come up with.

Each model has to take their own photos for the magazine (obviously) and what better way for me to do this than to go to Amelie’s place? She had the perfect room with a blank wall to do it in, which was just a bonus. I’m so excited to see what the other models have done! *_*

Progress shot~ Can’t believe I’m uploading a no-makeup face on here OTL

All of my makeup laid out and ready~

… It had to be done.

And for one of the final pictures!

Oh well just look at that… It’s all blurry! Guess you’ll just have to wait for the issue to come out ;D

I also tried on her MA*RS set and jfdkbgkjfbdgkjdfg I’m in love *_* I’m so jealous of her of owning such a beautiful set… IF ANYONE IS SELLING ONE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I really really want it D: It was the first time I wore stockings and I have to say I felt a little… Weird. The set looked so pretty though!

Guess that’s all for now, my beautiful readers! I’m going to try and blog more often from now on as I have tons of ideas on what to post here! It’s just finding the time and place to do them…

Adios, amigos!

Breakfast at Tiffany’s.. Or, in my case, dinner at Wagamama.

Hello beautiful readers! How are you?

It’s been ages since I last saw my friends from uni so one day I just picked up the phone and decided to ring one of them, and we immediately arranged to meet up for dinner at Wagamama! I arranged to meet another friend to go shopping beforehand as I really missed seeing her, and saying that I bought a few items is an understatement. I bought a lot of things. I spent around £23.63 on just bath products to pamper myself every now and then, and then I bought a dress and a top~ So quite a few things! I shall make another post of my gets for you all.

In my last post, Searching for My Identity, I mentioned that I wanted to find the “me”, and with this post I have to say that I’m still making small steps towards it. Well, I didn’t actually mention it but I was on about that I needed to take more care of my appearance Gal-wise; I’m getting sick of just floating around thinking that I need to fit into a particular style so I’m just going to dress what I feel like, even if it’s something that I would never really wear like Hime.
Actually I want to thank all of those people who made such lovely comments on my last post, and I’m sorry that I have not replied to you all! I just feel slightly down, but I’ll be sure to make replies when I feel better about where I am. Thank you, I love you guys <3

ANYWAYS I went and bought clothes that I would never usually wear, but loved wearing, and I wore one of them to Wagamama! So here it is…

I don’t know what the hell happened to my (your right) left arm… Think I might’ve held it over the camera or something… Hmm!

River Island dress, Primark tights, Dorothy Perkins heels

It reminded me of another era because it of how it reached to my knees and clung to my waist, like the dresses I see in films like Breakfast at Tiffany’s (despite not having seen the film). It gave me the oh la la vibe

My eye make! I’m in love with Angel Eye and Baby Eye, and I always seem to be wearing them nowadays… Need to get some new lashes!

Jewellery was minimum, which made me realise that I haven’t really got a large collection of accessories at all… Looks like I’ll be saving up for more instead of buying clothes all of the time!

I actually really like my hair curled, but it’s a bitch to curl as it took me 2 hours to do this (whilst watching Criminal Minds… Maybe that’s the reason why!)

That’s all for now my darlings! Until next time~
