How + Where to Buy Gyaru Brand Clothes

“Lizzie, where do you buy your gyaru brand clothes from?” “What shops do you buy from?” “Where did you get your MA*RS dress from?” Are the most frequently asked questions I receive on my socials, so today I’ve put all of my favourite shops all in one place. So read on for more info on where, and how, to buy gyaru brand…

My Japan Haul – DaTuRa, MA*RS, Sanrio and Many More

I’ve been to Japan and haven’t bought a thing… Said no one ever! And trust me, I am still on the road to financial recovery despite it being over a month since I’ve been in the magical land of Hello Kitty and matcha KitKat. It was so worth it, though, but when I look back at my Japan haul I wish I had bought more, but it was physically impossible to fit any more into my suitcase. My suitcase weighed 17kg before and then 23kg after. Oops. I’ve made the decision, however, to buy more things over from Japan. It might not be good economically but their clothes are just so much nicer and I want to keep supporting my gyaru brands from afar!

In the meantime, though, let’s delve into my Japan haul a.k.a the part where I sold my soul.

Donki

The very first part of my Japan haul was when I splurged on was some Hello Kitty and Sanrio goodies from Don Quiote (also known as Donki). I was just so happy to be surrounded by so many kawaii goodies so I didn’t hold back! I also bought some amazing 2-in-1 curlers and straighteners, and I’m pretty upset that I couldn’t fit it into my suitcase. Oh well, maybe next time.

Lizzie Loves: Gyaru Autumn/Winter Collections 2016!

I think that this is the first time I’ve actually been looking forward to Autumn; I guess that our summer over here was pretty bad and a mixture of super hot days and miserable, rainy days, that I’d rather have it just miserable because at least then it’s kind of predictable. Another reason could be that I’m really, really looking forward to Halloween! I’ve already began purchasing some Halloween decor to jazz my room up.

The coming of Autumn also means that shops are bringing out their Autumn/Winter collections – this already started at the end of August but I decided to wait a little bit until their full collection is out. And now the time has come and I’ve put together a few of my favourites!

Let’s start with… MA*RS!

Aah, MA*RS, you can’t seem to let go of the dramatic flair can’t you? I am so happy that they’ve kept some of their outgoing prints although it seems like the rose print is all of the rage this year. I love what they’re doing with it but I can’t help but think that it looks very similar to other brands… Nevertheless it’s still pretty. They’ve brought back some plaid as well this year and I kinda’ like it! It hasn’t really got that MA*RS vibe to it though, but it’s cute.

DaTuRa

Oh my gosh I am in love with their items! It’s weird because there’s a mixture of two styles: one their classic onee style; and the other a more casual kei that you would see right out of EGG magazine. I can’t get enough of it! Sakurina looks timeless as usual… How does she do that?!

Liz Lisa

Liz Lisa seem to have gone for a more Larme Kei look now which I am definitely not complaining about because I LOVE Larme Kei. It can still be worked into your himekaji wardrobe, though. It feels weird not seeing many florals, but I really like the plaid.

Jesus Diamante

I never thought they’d be a day where I included Jesus Diamante on this list, but lately I’ve been drooling over their posts on Twitter and just had to snoop on their new collection. I probably wouldn’t be able to wear Jesus Diamante but a gal can dream!

Swankiss (not technically gyaru)

Can this brand be any cuter?! I also love the props they use for their photoshoots – everything is just so sweet that I’m getting a toothache (in a good way). I just love their lace and fluffy combinations. I’ve been seeing a lot of the top-and-cami trend lately over here, but it looks like Swankiss has moved on from that trend (because come on, Western trends are super slow! They need to catch up!)

Swankiss, larme kei, gyaru

That’s all for today! I really can’t wait to see some of these hit Western stores (although that’ll probably take 3 years or something) but in the meantime I’m going to try and find a shopping service to get these items or, as a last resort, find something similar on eBay. What do you think of the Autumn/Winter collections this year? Do you have a favourite?

Until next Sunday! ♡

My Gyaru Wardrobe, Take Two!

I was going through my gyaru wardrobe one day when I realised just how much it has expanded over the past year or two. It’s crazy! It made me think about all of the money I spent and I sincerely apologise, Bank, for breaking you repeatedly. I promise I won’t spend as much over the next week year or so! This brought me back to my gyaru wardrobe post that I wrote back in 2012 linkso I think it’s time that I update it and see where my style has taken me!

When you are close to me I shiver

Definitely need a break right now.

Even though I’ve got a little timetable I’ve been stressing about uni work so much lately, especially because it’s coming to the end of the year and this final project is big and yet I’m so focused on one of the smaller projects as it’s due in first. It’s just so difficult working on something that you have no inspiration for, and holding back on the one you really want to do… Oh wells.

Writing this blog post is a nice breather for me because I love blogging. It’s like a little diary to me and people like you beautiful readers really do keep me inspired and motivated <3 So thank you, for taking your time in reading my blog!

I’ve been getting used to using my Facebook page now so that’s definitely been growing. It’s just so nice to post little snippets of my goings-on without having to wait to post on here!

So my lil’ sis had a birthday party sometime ago, and it was great because it gave me a reason to doll up (aha) and it was nice to spend time with her. I didn’t get drunk (mostly because I was worrying about her and everyone else like an old granny) but it was still pretty cool.

People have mentioned that I should smile a little more… So here we go! 😀

I’m still going through that phase of doing gal with no lens, and another reason I have to add to my list is that Mukuchu is closing down! Yes, my beloved Mukuchu, the place where I would get my circle lens because of their reliability and quality ;_; </3 I’m so sad so I might hurry and buy one last pair…

Upper lashes: Angel Eye   Lower lashes: Princess Eye

It’s been way over a year ago since I wore this top! I guess it’s because I later on bought more brand items, but my love for this one has been rekindled <3

Top: GOLDS Infinity  Skirt: Primark  Tights: Primark  Heels: Dorothy Perkins
Earrings & Necklace: Muse  Belt: Online (idk what the brand is)
