Agejo, Lazy Days & New Look!

Waddya’ think of my new layout? It’s so pretty and sparkly isn’t it?
I thought that I needed a new look to my blog because my old one was, well, old. I love leopard print but I was just getting sick of looking at it and I wanted a fresh new start to mark my change in style. I aimed for the more glamorous and girly appearance because of my love for agejo and one gyaru and I think it turned out pretty well! Did all of my graphics in Illustrator and Photoshop 😀

Speaking of agejo… I was going to have a very lazy day but whilst doing my lash review for Pixie Bunny it changed my mind and I dolled up! I really didn’t expect it; I was hoping to lounge around in my hoodie and leggings all day but it was still nice to put on a bit of makeup.

Here’s my look for the day! You may have already seen some pictures on my last post, but oh well you get to see it again (you lucky thing you).

I actually really like these lashes although find that they do go slightly upwards… Shall have to find a way to fix that! And I would probably need to continuously brush up on lash glue as well but that’s what you get for being a gal I suppose <3

Like I said, I really did want a lazy day so I jumped back into my hoodie and leggings as soon as the review was done. It was so nice and comfy *_* I love this hoodie! It’s incredibly warm but I managed, surprisingly. Just shows how crap British summers are -_-

Now before I go, I want to show you some of my buys! I’ve been trying to save up for the past year and the other day I went shopping and saved a lot of money.

For example: see that top in the photo? It was originally £19.99 from New Look, but because it was in the sales it went down to £9! I saved £10.99! Pretty good huh?

And that bag… Well, New Look sold one like it for £19.99 (they really like that price don’t they?) but I hopped over to Primark and found a similar looking one for… Take a guess… Yep, £8.99 (or something like that). Bonus!

So I think I’ve done really good! I haven’t bought any MA*RS items apart from this gorgeous replica, and because it was a replica it was really cheap (for MA*RS anyway). I hope to continue my gyaru-on-a-budget lifestyle because now I can spend the rest of the money I have on things I really really need.

That’s all for today! Just a little update on what’s going on really. See you next time <3

Review: Luminous Change Lower Lashes

Remember a few posts back when I went to MCM Expo in London? Well I purchased a set of lashes from the lovely Tania of Pixie Bunny that I had been eying up for a while and promised that I’d do a review for her so… Here it is!

Before I go onto the review I would like to give you a little introduction of Pixie Bunny. As I have already said, it’s owned by the lovely Tania (who has a blog here) and she sells a variety of products such as tights, bags, makeup, jewellery and – wait for it – false lashes!

Me & Tania at MCM Expo!

Anyway, the lashes I purchased were Luminous Change Lower Lashes. I’ve been searching for some lashes that were a cross between Princess Eye and Baby Eye (both by Diamond Lash) so when I clapped my eyes onto these babies I knew I had to get them.

Now I can’t really judge on how well her postage was (i.e. how everything was kept in a box etc etc) as I had bought them from her stall, but she did pop it into a really cute pink bag alongside a sticker! So I guess I can give her a booming 5 stars because she didn’t just stick it any old paper bag.

So, packaging

Okay so now it’s actually talking about how they felt when I wore them. When I peeled them off from the container I realised that they were actually longer than they first appeared, which is definitely a good thing because I was worried that these lashes would just disappear on camera. So I put them on and-

Well, all I can say is, do not underestimate their length.

Close up of both eyes

They were perfect length and design-wise! I fell in love and was literally babbling away to Tania on Facebook on how much I loved them. Another reason to show just how good they were was that today was supposed to be an extremely lazy day in a hoody, but… I dolled up! And it was all down to the lashes!

Later on I did realise that they kinda’ went upwards, if that makes sense? I think this is a both good and bad thing; good because it means they don’t look too dramatic, but bad because they might not look dramatic enough for heavy makeup. Won’t know until you try though I guess!

Appearance

Usability wise… They are pretty easy to use! The only thing I could say is that the lash line is quite thin but it doesn’t look as fragile as Princess Eye by Diamond Lash… However, I’d still be extra careful with them when taking them off just in case.
Because of the thin, transparent lash line I found them really easy to adjust so that they curved nicely beneath my lower (natural) lash line.

Usability

Overall

I will give them an overall mark of 5 stars because they are one of the most beautiful lower lashes I’ve ever seen, coming up close behind (ooer) Baby Eye by Diamond Lash, and you know how much I love those lashes…

I guess that’s all for now! Now why not be a good ol’ chap and hop over to Pixie Bunny to purchase these gorgeous babies for yourself ;D

Will most likely make a post of my make and outfit etc next week ^^ Ta ta for now~

MCM Expo!

I’m finally able to write this post! I was so tired today that I nearly fell asleep at work… The warm weather didn’t really help things so I was basically a drowsy zombie for the whole day.

Speaking of zombies… I got to meet some! Not real ones obviously (I wouldn’t have written “meet” if they were real… More like running the crap away from them). Basically I went to MCM Expo with my boyfriend this year and in the queue I saw these zombies just walking past and staring blankly at everyone. It was so creepy because their makeup was amazing and they were just really good at acting as zombies.

Here’s me with the zombies:

Yes, I was a maid this year! I wasn’t actually going to cosplay/dress up until someone said that I seemed to be the maid type, and I’m so happy that I did because I really enjoyed being a maid aha. I got asked for a few photos which never happened to me before so yeah I was pretty happy.

My look and outfit shot:

I’m wearing my Fairy Lash Brught Eye lashes that Charli got me from Japan! I’m in love with them already; they are so dramatic and even though they have that plastic-feel to them, they seem to be pretty strong!

Now onto the MCM Expo photos!

For ages I was searching for Iron Man, and I finally found him when I was starting to lose hope. You can tell how pleased I was from that cheesy grin of mine -_-

I had to say that the villains were pretty badass (or the people cosplaying the villains were anyway). I was taking a photo with Darth Vader and the Emperor, and got pretty like what-the-hell-what when Darth Vader started talking to me with the voice and everything. Was so cool!

“I said kneel!” “sdkjkjdfbgkbfg *cry*”

A “pet” Alien!

I loved this cosplay so much! I’m a huge fan of “How To Train Your Dragon” and was so pleased when I saw Toothless walking around, so I just had to have a photo with him!

Honestly I had so much fun; I met loads of people that I hadn’t seen in ages, and saw Meg – my friend from Ireland – for the first time ever! We have known each other for around 5 years and yesterday was the first time I met her. She was so cute *_* Only wished I could’ve stayed with her for longer <3

And to end this post, a photo of myself and the boyfriend! He said that he might cosplay next time which would be so awesome! 😀

That’s all for now! Hope you enjoyed this post. I was going to add more photos but then that really would be a photo bomb 😛

When you are close to me I shiver

Definitely need a break right now.

Even though I’ve got a little timetable I’ve been stressing about uni work so much lately, especially because it’s coming to the end of the year and this final project is big and yet I’m so focused on one of the smaller projects as it’s due in first. It’s just so difficult working on something that you have no inspiration for, and holding back on the one you really want to do… Oh wells.

Writing this blog post is a nice breather for me because I love blogging. It’s like a little diary to me and people like you beautiful readers really do keep me inspired and motivated <3 So thank you, for taking your time in reading my blog!

I’ve been getting used to using my Facebook page now so that’s definitely been growing. It’s just so nice to post little snippets of my goings-on without having to wait to post on here!

So my lil’ sis had a birthday party sometime ago, and it was great because it gave me a reason to doll up (aha) and it was nice to spend time with her. I didn’t get drunk (mostly because I was worrying about her and everyone else like an old granny) but it was still pretty cool.

People have mentioned that I should smile a little more… So here we go! 😀

I’m still going through that phase of doing gal with no lens, and another reason I have to add to my list is that Mukuchu is closing down! Yes, my beloved Mukuchu, the place where I would get my circle lens because of their reliability and quality ;_; </3 I’m so sad so I might hurry and buy one last pair…

Upper lashes: Angel Eye   Lower lashes: Princess Eye

It’s been way over a year ago since I wore this top! I guess it’s because I later on bought more brand items, but my love for this one has been rekindled <3

Earrings & Necklace: Muse  Belt: Online (idk what the brand is)

Eurgh my herp-derp face D:

Testing, Attention Please

Wow this week has been so hectic; I’ve been doing a lot of travelling so haven’t really had a proper lie in at all. But who cares! I have so much to tell you that I’m bubbling in excitement writing this.

First things first, I have a new job! Yes, Lizzie is now working at a clothes store! I feel so much better now because my old job was rather… Well, I got bored, and I really wanted something new with nicer shifts.

So I applied for a new job and got a job offer straight after the interview! Pretty awesome, right? Yeah I was so so happy that I of course agreed to take the job and I had my first shift last Saturday. The people there were lovely as well, and I felt that I was being a lot more “me”. I guess this is a perfect chance for a whole new start work-wise.

I’ve slowly started getting into dolling up daily again and I must say that it’s been too long. I still get those days where I laze around doing nothing, but I think I’ve finally had enough time to think about my future so I’ve made a little plan on separating my uni life and social life equally and to realise that in the end, my happiness does come first. I want to be able to see my friends and family a lot more this year, and with my new job I think I could make that happen. And the reason for dolling up? I just feel good about myself when I do and make more of an effort to face the day.

But eurgh enough of the rambling, and onto the main part of the post! I’ve started doing gal without lens again because I’m on my final pair. Yes, it’s so heartbreaking… My black lens have finally ran it’s course ;_; So all I have left are my gold lens!

I think doing gal without lens is a great way to focus more on makeup on hair but as you can see I only had time to straighten my hair this time.

My look just before I headed off to uni!

I think that my life is finally sorting itself out and I’ve been following a schedule on what time to wake up and go to sleep. It’s been making my life so much easier and I’ve been getting the sleep needed to keep me going. Okay so I have had some nights where I stayed up late but I’ve been doing a lot better than usual!

Jewellery: eBay

I’ve also been good when it comes to spending as well… And this is my most recent item I bought. It was waiting for me on my doorstep when returning home from uni so it made my day a whole lot better!

So I just tried it on really quickly~ Although now I really can’t wait for it to be summer so I could actually wear it properly *_*

So I guess that’s all for today! Just thought I’d give you all an update on the recent goings-on. I hope you’re all having a lovely week so far, and that you’ve got much planned for the weekend!
