Agejo Trends: MA*RS Spring Collection

It’s been a year since I decided to pursue the agejo-gal style, can you believe that? I can’t. I actually had to flick back through my Tumblr just to double check that I wasn’t going mad… Sunday 4th Feb I wrote that post. Just over a year ago. Wow. I’m not quite sure how to celebrate it and I’m sure I will do another post on it soon, but for today I’m going to talk about the new MA*RS catalog! I don’t really talk about catalogues and new stock that much – if at all – on my blog, so it’s nice to have a change. Would you like me to talk more about these things in future? Comment below please!

GAL Sleepover!

Well hello there you sexy thang (Think I kind of scared Chewiee)

After the meet in January me and Chewiee decided to meet up as we realised that we haven’t actually hung out together before! It’s crazy because we’ve known each other for a while and have been talking a lot more recently.

It was a shame that the weather was so sh*tty because I would’ve loved to have worn my MA*RS socks! I really want to buy the ones where there’s only pink lace at the top but I can’t find any anywhere. Sigh. Oh yeah I guess I am breaking my buying-no-mars-anymore rule because I kind of ordered quite a lot of MA*RS a couple of weeks ago… I’m just fed up of forcing myself not to buy the stuff that I want! I’m going to be careful and only spend what I can afford, but I’m going to have fun at the same time.

Aaaaaand as you can guess, I dressed up in MA*RS! Can’t seem to get enough of the brand. Could it be that I’m… A MA*RS gal? *_*

Warning: Lots of awesome photos!

We met up in London and hung around Chinatown eating lots of gorgeous food, taking purikura, and hanging out in Las Vegas where we played lots of pool! I’ve never really played pool before so Chewiee had to teach me, but soon I was getting the hang of it. Doesn’t mean I won or anything though… I was pretty bad. We had some drinks afterwards but for some strange reason that only made me really tired… o_o

Chewiee is certainly enjoying her food

After that we headed to Chewiee’s house and watched Girl’s Life while she curled my hair. On one side of my hair she used straighteners – I think I’ve got the hang of it now – and the other side she used curlers. Now the experiment began… I had my fingers crossed! Getting so tired of my curls dying almost instantly.

And the waiting game begins…

Surprisingly my curls actually lasted until the next morning but it was definitely the straighteners that worked the best! As I didn’t really have much time to get ready I just put my hair to one side and curled the rest of my hair.

Then it was off to get some delicious food at Pizza Express and Chewiee’s boyfriend joined us as well. We had a really good time playing pool and taking purikura! I’ve taken so much purikura this weekend, it’s unbelievable. Because of this I decided to get both an Oyster card and purikura membership card (even though the Oyster is pretty much useless as I don’t live in London, but it was cute).

With Antony’s cat! So cute!

Yummy dough balls
Lasagne!
Mini chocolate fudge cake & hot chocolate

This yummy Chinese-dish thing? Can’t remember what it’s called
Posing at the pool table
Tried out Calpis for the first time! It’s so yummy!

This is basically what we did the whole weekend and it was so much fun! I really enjoyed myself. I would love to live in London because it’s such an amazing place and you can literally do anything there. I miss having a Chinese supermarket nearby. Sigh.

Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Hey all!

How was your Christmas holidays? Did you eat lots of food? I did! I swear I’ve never eaten so much food in my life, and that’s pretty hard to beat as I tend to eat a lot everyday… But wow I’m still stuffed from my delicious Christmas dinner that my mum cooked up (we have roast duck and pancakes for Christmas instead of turkey).

My Christmas holiday was quite a long one but it was just so good! I wanted to write a post including everything I did around Christmas, so please excuse the abundance of photos and writing~ But there’s no point splitting this up into lots of mini posts because it’ll be 2014 before we know it.

The first Christmas event was the day I went to see Charli! I missed her terribly, as I hadn’t seen her that much at the October MCM Expo so it was lovely to spend a couple of hours trotting around London with her.
We decided to take some purikura as it had been a really long time! I think that it is a tad expensive, but as we were splitting it in half it wasn’t so bad. Although their scanner broke so I’ve only got photos of the purikura half I had </3

The whole set~

Then we headed to our favourite restaurant, Suki! The food is so good for the price we pay, so I was really happy to be finally sitting down munching on gorgeous ramen. If anyone’s heading to London one day, you should definitely try this place out! It’s a Japanese restaurant and it’s amazing!

After that it got dark surprisingly quickly so instead of heading to Stratford Westfield we just had a look around Chinatown and the surrounding area, mainly because it was absolutely freezing and we didn’t feel like going shopping. London was incredibly busy, so we were pretty exhausted even just walking around for a bit as we had to continuously dodge around people who were obviously rushing for their last-minute Christmas presents.

At one of the shops there Charli got me a gorgeous alpaca as a Christmas present! I was absolutely delighted as I adore alpacas, and I’m going to name this one Honey after Charli Honey (her blog name) <3

I got her some Korean black pearl face masks for her Christmas present, and now I’m thinking that I really ought to pamper myself a little bit! I never have time to relax with all of the uni work and work stuff I had to do, but I’d love it if I just had one day a week to do something relaxing… What do you do to relax on your days off? Or are you like me and is a workaholic (hahaha).

That was it for our Christmas meetup! Even though we didn’t see each other until later – I had uni work to do and she had work – I still had lots of fun. I missed her so much!

Outfit & look for the Christmas meetup:

The bright light drowned my blusher ;_;

Denim shirt: Primark  |  Knitwear: Select  |  Shorts: Reveal  |  Tights: Select  |  Heeled boots: New Look

Okay, now onto event number two! I drove home for Christmas after work and was just so happy to be with the ones I loved. It had been ages since I saw everyone so I spent most of Christmas with my family and my boyfriend.

We didn’t do much on Christmas Eve as I was absolutely knackered from driving, but on Christmas day we dolled up and watched lots of movies! The one we watched in particular was Monsters University. I love that film!

Me & my gorgeous sister!

I was so ridiculously spoilt this year! I got a gorgeous new bag, jewellery, clothes, a personalised, calendar, some DVDs, chocolate… And lots more! I was going to take a photo of everything out of the bag but I really, really couldn’t be bothered. Eating lots of chocolate has made me lazy D:

My outfit & look for the day:

(wooow my sister’s mirror was so dusty…)
Dress, hoodie & jewellery: MA*RS | Belt: GOLDS Infinity
Tights: Select | Boots: Dorothy Perkins

I didn’t bother to do my hair that day because 1) I woke up pretty late and 2) I was bursting to open presents and really couldn’t be bothered. I literally jumped onto everyone’s bed to wake them up… I’m not a child, I swear.

Christmas event number 3: Boxing Day! Boxing Day is the British equivalent to Black Friday, and it’s where all the sales start. I literally rolled out of bed, and went out to town to hunt done some bargain items but I ended up only buying one thing that was actually in the sale. There was just nothing left for me to buy! I guess that means I have more money to spend later on…

Oh wow that’s a terrible photo! I’m so sorry!

My sister, mum and I then treated ourselves to some food at Pizza Hut and boy it was filling! I can never seem to eat more than a couple of slices of pizza before I feel full, and yet I could eat a mountain of Sunday Roast dinner. Hmm.

I’m not actually going to upload a picture of my outfit as it was really, really plain… The only pretty thing was the MA*RS skirt, and the sweater made me look all weird… Sorry guys!

Anyways, I guess that’s all for now! Sorry for the rambling and the never-ending list of photos… But I just wanted to do everything Christmas-related in one post so that I can move onto the new year. I’m just so excited! Are you?

One final photo~

Until next week!

It’s A Love/Hate Relationship

Okay I don’t know how many times I’ve written this post but boy this must be what, the fifth or sixth time where I just deleted everything and wrote again? I don’t know. Oh well, hopefully this will be the last time I write this blog post (or I swear I’m just gonna’ give up and have nothing but pictures on it, haha).

Gal, to me, is a bit of a love/hate relationship; yes I’ve finally managed to find a glue that’s suitable for my eye but I do need to make sure I wash my brushes etc every time before I use them. This is kind of a pain in the butt so I tend only to do gal make once a week because I just don’t have the time for it… And mainly because when I doll up I end up taking pictures instead of doing what I should be doing i.e. driving to uni. Whoops.

So I might be posting some coords etc on here but skip the gal make and hair. Right now I just want to focus on my coords before moving onto anything else. I put hair last because I really, really suck at doing hair. If only I had a personal hair stylist or someone to help me out with this!

I’m going to make Sunday my gal day so that I can feel “normal”. It’s basically what I did before I started doing it everyday and then f*cking up my eye and making my skin go all sensitive. Until then I’ll be doing natural makeup everyday. It’s not gal but I’m happy, and that’s the most important thing, right?

Enough of the chit chat and onto the photos! Doing agejo again because damn I love that style so much ❤

I actually really like the photo above! It’s weird because I took this when I turned off my table lamp and it produced a really nice ‘glow’. Unfortunately it does make my face look a little too orange and drown my blusher though haha.

I went for the softer gal makeup as this is the eyeshadow technique that I normally use in my daily makeup.

Top lashes: Sakurina Fairy Lash Beauty Eye | Bottom lashes: KKCenterHK
Top & Skirt: MA*RS | Belt: GOLDS Infinity | Heels: Dorothy Perkins | Jewellery: Muse
Close up details~

So how often do you do gal? Are you all lucky enough to actually have time to do it everyday? If so, I’m uber jealous of you. Damn I miss those days where I can wear lashes every day without worrying about anything.

That’s all for now. Talk soon!

All Loved Up

I had such a good start to this month! I was very selfish and had my boyfriend all to my self. It’s been ages since I last saw him – over a month! – so I always try to spend as much time with him as possible whenever I see him.

He arrived at mine on Friday and we treated ourselves by going to a new Chinese restaurant, and when I say ‘new’ it just means that it wasn’t Wagamama. We go there way too much so needed something refreshing! Chinese restaurants are also nice anyway. I wanted to be all dolled up and pretty so I wore my lashes! I was a bit sceptical at first because even though they’ve been okay so far I was just worried about being let down and getting a busted eye again. I even curled my hair, which I haven’t done in what seems like ages.

We ordered this set meal kind of deal where you just get loads and loads of little dishes served in three sections, and boy was there a lot of food! Here are some photos I took really quickly (as we were starving) so please excuse me if they’re blurry.

To be honest the food wasn’t that great but I was so hungry I didn’t care. It was for a really good price as well so I can’t really complain but I don’t think I’ll get this ‘feast’ again. I don’t know, I guess I’m just really picky when it comes to meat but the duck pancakes were to die for.

Me and my honey <3 Wow, my front camera is shocking!

Then on Sunday we went for a bit of Xmas shopping in London! I managed to doll up on that day as well as my eye was fine after our dinner, plus who doesn’t want to look pretty when going shopping? Hopefully this is a sign that this lash adhesive is okay for my uber-sensitive eyes! I went for the agejo look again because I love that style so much. Slowly fulfilling my dreams of being a MA*RS gal…

We went to the Stratford Westfield because it’s the only place I know that has a decent amount of shops without me having to trek all the way across London. It was absolutely perfect and I managed to get a couple of bits and bobs but restrained from getting anything for myself (December is a really bad month for me, money-wise… all of those presents that need buying!) It was actually pretty tiring after a while so we grabbed some tea and chilled out for a bit.

Little things like this make my day 😀

Afterwards was our double date with Pixie Late and Alex! They are amazing people and I really enjoy spending time with them. We get along so well and can talk about almost anything so it was really nice seeing them so soon after Expo (‘soon’ as in around a month’s time hahaha). It’s nice that my honey was able to talk to them too because we all share the same interests which is great 😀

Me & Pixie Late! <3

And that was it! Now that I look back it doesn’t really sound as if I’ve done a lot that weekend but trust me, shopping and eating did take up most of our time. Did I mention that my honey and I were right ol’ pigs and ate lots of chocolate and ice cream as we watched The Mummy? Well, I guess I have now!
