new nail + spring himekaji co*de ♪

Hey cutie! 你好小可爱!How are you? ♡ Guess what? I got my nails done!!! I’m so so happy. Nail salons are now open thanks to the ease in restrictions, so I booked to get mine done straight away. I was a bit nervous tbh (*ノ∀`*) but I had an idea of what I wanted in my head so that I was prepared!

I decided to dress up for it because the weather has improved a lot (although it’s still quite cold) so I went for a cute himekaji co*de! I also had my hair cut the other day so my hair is a lot shorter when its curly and tbh… I’m not too sure how I feel about it… Also, I really really wanted to make a good impression but then everything seemed to go wrong! ( ╥ω╥ ) First, I ran out of eyeliner, then I ran out of eyelash glue! I was in such a mad rush but luckily I made it to the nail salon just in time.

But having my nails done really improved my mood! And here they are. Aren’t they so pretty? (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) 他们好漂亮, 我很高兴! Hopefully I can do my nails more often! ♡

Gyaru Nail Art Inspiration for Valentine’s Day

Hands up if you have no idea what to wear for Valentine’s Day? Yep, me neither, but lately I’ve gone back to drooling over endless Instagram feeds of Japanese nail salons and it makes me really want to make mine pretty for the special day (even though I have no idea what to wear). Nails made me feel so complete – especially when it came to gyaru – and since I’ve been so out of touch with it lately I think a set of beautiful, sparkly nails would do the trick! I wish I could just waltz into a salon to get my nails done every week but alas that’s not going to happen.

What I can do, however, is create inspirational mood boards of Valentine’s Day gyaru nails. I love creating mood boards and it’s been a while since I’ve done one so I was eager to do this again. Hopefully it’ll also provide you with that Valentine’s inspiration even if you’re spending the day at home pampering yourself like the queen you are.

Gyaru Christmas Nail Inspiration

I don’t know about you but I haven’t been feeling really festive this year… That is until I had a look at some gyaru Christmas nail inspiration! Ever since I made my Halloween nails I realised that it was best to get ahead and start gathering nail supplies early so that I didn’t end up stressing the night before. I really want to make Christmas a big thing this year (because I don’t really celebrate it a lot) and just writing this post is getting me really excited! There will be a mixture of gyaru nail inspiration and other nail art, but they all have a Christmas theme behind them.

Please note that I do not own any of these images (apart from one which has my signature on it).

Gyaru Nail Art Inspiration for All Lengths!

Yep, this week I’m going to be talking about gyaru nails (well, gyaru nail art). I realised that I buy way too many clothes and don’t really think about the small things that really make the outfit pop, and one of them is (or is it ‘are’?) the nails! I only have a few sets and I really want to start making some for myself. So I had a browse on Tumblr/Pinterest and gathered a few of my favourites.

I know it’s going to take me a while to actually get good at doing nails but I might as well look for inspiration! I’m going to split it into two sections – Dramatic & Short – because I can’t really wear false nails at work. I’ve also included some neat tutorials too at the bottom!
