Hey cutie! How are you? Sorry for the late night post haha but I was just waaaay too excited to post this and wanted to post it now! Okay so a few months ago I have finally found my substyle (not that it’s taken me 10 years or anything…) and have since then started to build my himekaji wardrobe, first focusing on winter items. It’s taken a while and I know that I’ve still got a long way to go, but I wanted to create this post anyway to track my progress! I’ll also include some of my favourite outfits with these said items.
Are you ready? Okay, let’s go!

By the way… if the lighting looks a bit weird it’s because it started getting dark while I was taking these photos. But at least they’re not terrible (I hope???)
♡ My Himekaji Wardrobe for Winter ♡
I decided to split my himekaji winter wardrobe into the following sections: dresses, tops + sweaters, coats, and accessories!
Tops
I’m actually really impressed by my tops and jumpers (aka sweaters) collection, as I didn’t realise I had quite so many! This is perfect for me as I’m always super cold in the winter – honestly, I walk around the house wrapped up in a blanket most of the time.
Dresses + Sets
Surprisingly, I don’t have as many dresses as I thought! But to be honest it’s probably because I’m not a huge fan of wearing dresses in winter as I’d like to layer everything up. Dark colours aren’t really that popular in himekaji but I think it’s so so cute! I’d love to do more monotone looks.
Bottoms
I’m quite impressed by my skirts collection! Would love to have more trousers/jeans, though, although I do find wearing thermal tights and skirts/shorts a lot more comfortable to wear.
Coats
So far I only have two winter coats (and one jacket) but… I think that that’s okay for now. The only thing is that these coats aren’t exactly thick so they don’t really keep me very warm! If only there was a cute coat that’s waterproof, thick, and cute but I feel like it doesn’t exist hahaha.
Bags
To be honest, I use most of these bags throughout the year but my cute and fluffy ones I save especially for winter! I absolutely love mokomoko looks in the winter, and you could probably tell that I love backpacks!

Shoes
I don’t really have many shoes but the ones I do have are extremely versatile and pretty much go with all of my himekaji outfits! I especially love wearing UGGs with himekaji in winter – it gives such old school gal vibes!

♡ Popteen 2009-2010 Meets Himekaji Lookbook! ♡
Aaaaaand here are my favourite winter himekaji outfits! I uploaded some more pictures on one of my recent outfit roundups.

And there we have it! Gosh, it feels so good to look back at my photos and see how much my wardrobe has grown over these past few months, I cannot wait to create more coords with these! Winter is by far my favourite season.
What’s your main substyle?
Have you done a wardrobe post?
I wanna seeee!

January 27, 2021Hii Lizzie! I am very inspired by your blog, actually! I only recently became deeply interested in gyaru culture, but thanks to you and your blog, I am learning more and more interesting things, thank you very much 💗
I would also like to ask, was it difficult to join the gyaru “collective” when you just started? Where were you looking for people with similar interests? Maybe through some sites? Thanks in advance for your reply
PS your winter collection is so cute, I cry because we have too cold winter so All this beauty would be hidden by a down jacket :((

January 30, 2021Awh yay thank you so so much, and welcome to gyaru! <3
When I first started there was a massive community on Livejournal, so it wasn't actually that hard for me! I just started looking for communities about gyaru and luckily there were a couple on there, and it was so nice to meet other gyaru bloggers!

January 30, 2021Ahhh Lizzie!!! That inspires me a lottt. I love your cute clothes and YES the thing with the coats is so true, that’s why I still search in local shops here. In the black forest it gets so super cold, it’s impossible to wear japanese winter coats then xD I probably can’t do a wardrobe post bcuz my wardrobe is huuuge but currently I keep collecting ma*rs stuff…so I might post about how my current collection looks like xDDD xoxo
